This is such a wonderful story, MS McArthur has taken me on a trip to the jungles of Papua New Guinea where it can be very dangerous out in the wilds for the heroine, the strong, witty and caring Dr. Jacinta McLeod and the man who will steal her heart rugged and very protective Dr. Jonah Armstrong, I do hope that you will pick this one up and enjoy it as much as I did.
Jacinta is working in a busy Sydney hospital, her younger years were not the best but she has worked very hard to get to where she is today and is very strong and capable, when a patient is bought in delirious with what appears to be malaria Jacinta is drawn to him, not only is he good looking but she wants to know more about his work in the jungle of PNG. It is not long before Jacinta decides that a stint working in the missionary hospital with Jonah is what she wants and nothing will stop her.
Jonah grew up as a missionary kid and has lived and worked most of his life among the people of Papua New Guinea, life is not easy, but he loves helping these people and having other doctors come in to help is always welcome, but after meeting the beautiful Jacinta and feeling drawn to her and knowing that a relationship or marriage is never going to be for him after the devastating loss of his sister, he returns to PNG after leaving Sydney and is not happy when Jacinta arrives to work at Pudjip Hospital for three months, protecting her and keeping his heart intact is going to be very hard.
This story has all the feels that MS McArthur is so good at bringing out in her characters, I loved Jacinta, I found her so easy to like her witty banter and humour and caring nature is just what Jonah needed and seeing him melt with love was so good. There is a lot going on in this one, the setting is fabulous and described so well, when Jonah and Jacinta are in danger it was edge of your seat there for a while and the amount of love and caring that comes through brings a lot of joy. There are some fabulous characters in this story I have to mention Mimi I did love her and what a fabulous HEA, they had a rocky road to follow to get there, but get there they did. This is a story that I highly recommend, I truly loved it, thank you MS McArthur.
