What a sizzling, sensual and emotional journey this one is, and I loved every word. This is Kali Anthony’s second book and they are just getting better, she packs a punch with the emotions that flow from her hero and heroine and Cage and Eve have a big hurdle to jump before they get to the HEA that should have been theirs seven years before, this is one to read.

Eve Chevalier grew up next door to her best friend Cage Caron, the only problem the families were sworn enemies and as the years rolled on they became more than best friends with a love that people dream of. Life though throws a lot their way and the perfect secret love is torn apart and Eve moves to France to start a new life and keep the secrets locked away, but part of her soul is missing.

Cage was practically destroyed when Eve left him the way she did, he swore to get on with life and revenge plays a big part in his future when seven years later he gets to extract that revenge and meets up with Eve to put a business deal to her that she cannot refuse. He is not prepared for the chemistry, attraction and the spark that ignites his blood when he sees her again, he is starting to think his plan will not go as he wants it to.

This book is a page turner as Cage and Eve relive the hurt from years before and the pressure that family can cause, the emotions pulled at them (and me as a reader) as they could not control their desires and need, the love that neither of them had ever let go of pulled them together in a sensual, sizzling, blazing flame of true love.

I loved seeing them get closer and with such an understanding of what had happened, the strength that Eve showed when she stood her ground and only wanted happiness to go forward with and Cage knew that this was the way they should go on. This is a story that I highly recommend, beautifully written it will pull you in from the first page and you will not want to put it down, thank you MS Anthony for another keeper I loved it.
