What can I say, I loved this one so much, it is true Trish Morey, written with love, filled with emotion, witty banter and fabulous settings, you need to come along and meet the amazing Amanda and find out what happens after she finds her husband of twenty five years with the surprise belly dancer she has organised for his fiftieth birthday, you won’t be sorry.
Her perfect life has just fallen apart around her ankles like her husband, Rufus’s pants, all those years of being the best wife she could to the top plastic surgeon, she has just spent months renovating their forever home. Divorce is what she wants no listening to his excuses not that there were many and then Amanda finds herself practically broke after the settlement Rufus and his mate Charlie stung her badly, not only that she has lost her friends as well, she escapes to her cottage in St Ives, Cornwall to start over.
Amanda must find a way to earn some money and with some encouragement from new friends to perhaps start a blog or maybe write a book on how to downsize, renovate and sell a house can she really do this? Amanda throws herself into writing the book, there are lots of quips about ex-husbands and the reasons why she is selling and downsizing and before long her little book is going gangbusters on the internet and Amanda is being interviewed and guest blogging everywhere.
While appearing on a second chance dating show she meets Aussie Jack Walker and she is not impressed with him at all, but when she causes the ratings to rise she is asked back and soon she is holidaying on Santorini with Jack, and perhaps life might not be as bad as she thought.
This is a fabulous story, I loved seeing Amanda turn her life around, to stand up to people when needed and to discover that just because you are fifty it doesn’t mean that love and passion are lost. This is a beautifully written romance one that I highly recommend there will be smiles throughout, happiness and so many other emotions along the way, a fabulous cast of characters who make the story, don’t miss this one.
