We are back in the beautiful town of River’s Edge for Nan Reinhardt’s new series, this time we are going to really make friends, I am sure with the Walker family and book one is fabulous, come along and meet Jack Walker and the woman who stole his heart on their first meeting, Madeline Ross.
Madeline (Maddie) is tired of being looked over for a promotion in her current job, it is time for a change and moving closer to her father is a bonus when she applies for the crew supervisor position at Walker Construction in River’s Edge, she knows how qualified she is but when she arrives for her interview with Jack Walker CEO she realises that he is someone she met the night before, how is this going to turn out?
Jack has been CEO for the past year for the family business that was started by his father and uncle, the business is struggling and they really need the best crew supervisor there is, he has three applicants who have been handpicked from the applicants, his first interview is Madeline Ross, yes she has fabulous qualifications, but on her entrance to his office his knees go weak she is the gorgeous woman he met last night and he is well and truly smitten there is no way he can hire her.
Soon Jack realizes his mistake and he convinces Maddie with such a fabulous offer to join Walkers, but each day Jack is losing a bit more of his heart to Maddie even if he doesn’t think he is and as for Maddie she too is feeling a very big pull towards Jack, when there is some vandalism on one of the work sites, danger arrives, will Jack and Maddie finally stop denying what their hearts are telling them and will Maddie’s idea for the company help save the family company?
I loved this beautiful romance, sensual and moving, Jack and Maddie make a fabulous team, they are wonderful characters and of course being in River’s Edge catching up with friends is a wonderful bonus. I do highly recommend this one and I am looking forward to book two.
My thanks to Tule Publishing for my digital copy to read and review.
