Fearless by Rachel Van Dyken

FEARLESS carries forward of the RUIN series.  It’s a short read.  It tells how two RUIN characters, Wes and Kiersten, consummate their love and commitment in marriage.  Wes has come back from the very brink of death, which makes his marriage to Kiersten doubly precious and miraculous. In this story, we get to hear both their voices and viewpoints.  There’s the voice of another character too, someone watching Wes and Kiersten’s happiness, wishing them well, feeling outside the charmed circle of happiness, wondering what the future holds. As the story unfolds, one gets a taste of the preciousness of life and the fragility of happiness, yet one doesn’t love life any the less for all that.   This is a must read for followers of this series and fans of Rachel Van Dyken’s writing.

Van Dyken’s writing literally punches you in the gut.  Raw, honest and heartfelt.  Reading this book was a moving experience.
