This is such a great story, it is filled with emotion and it is beautifully written and I loved Rafe so very much, he is the best hero and just the hero that vulnerable Lise needs, you must read this story, any romance reader is sure to be left sighing.
When tragedy strikes her small country Lise must now become Queen something she has never been trained for, after all she was the spare but to be Queen she must also marry and that is something that she is not very happy with, but she will do it for her people but with a promise to herself, she knows who she must marry the one that her father had already chosen but he needs to accept her wishes.
Rafe comes from a family of farmers but he has built a business that is worth billions, something that he has always wanted is to prove to the aristocracy that he is better than them after all they have put him through in the past and he wants nothing more than being the most powerful in the country and becoming King will do that but he wants Lise to want him and he is sure he can do it, will he be able to break down the wall she has built around her heart?
Both Rafe and Lise had demons from their past that they need to put behind them before they can move forward and with the news they both received after the wedding moving forward is not going to be easy but Rafe is not going to give up on this beautiful strong woman and Lise finds it very hard to not to feel the pull and sizzle from Rafe.
A must read story, this one had me turning the pages and falling for Rafe and cheering Lise on, it is heartwarming and gorgeous as two strong and beautiful people see their hearts melt and find the love they both deserve. Kali Anthony’s stories are must reads. I can’t wait for Lance’s story.
