This is a beautifully told story of finding love, it is heart-breaking and heart-warming at the same time, Susan Carlisle knows how to write a story that will pull readers in, her characters of easy to make friends with and this one had me cheering Dylan and Marcy on as they rekindle a friendship that hopefully will turn to more.

Marcy is a doctor who has lost a child to cancer, heart broken she puts everything she has into research to find a cure for the deadly disease, this brings her to the Atlanta Children’s hospital to trial the new drug she is sure will do really well in helping the kids who have cancer, here she meets her college partner in the lab Dr Dylan Nelson.

Dylan has put everything he has into working with the children on the oncology ward, he knows that they need to feel important and he shows such compassion to them and gets to know them really well. He feels like he has been abandoned many times in his life and even though he would love to have a wife and family one day he holds his feeling in deep.

When his old friend Marcy arrives at the hospital it is like opening up his heart again he had always had deep feelings for Marcy but he can see that she is holding things in with the way she throws herself into her work, will he be able to break the walls down. Marcy has strong feelings for Dylan but her past is holding her back, can she open up to Dylan and let go of the past to find love and happiness that they both deserve?

A beautiful story filled with lots of emotions, this is one that I would highly recommend to any lover of romance.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.
