What a brilliant start to a new series, if you love mystery, suspense, crime and romance then this is a book for you to pick up, come along to the small country town of Whispers Crossing and get to know the characters who live here.
Emma Dawson left Wattle Crossing when her grandfather sent her away and told her never to come back at the age of sixteen a lot of time has passed since then she is now a vet and doing well but when she is notified that her grandfather has passed away she makes the trip back with the hope that she can change the way the other residents of the town will now think of the Dawson family but what she finds is secrets, danger and maybe love.
Tom McNaughton is living on a farm with his brothers across from the Dawson farm he is in town for a reason and has made friends with Henry Dawson since he has been here but when he discovers Henry’s body in the bath he is not so sure that the police have the reason for his death correct and then Henry’s granddaughter Emma arrives there is a spark but that is never going to happen he has already lost too much, but as secrets are uncovered Tom must step in and keep Emma safe will he keep his heart safe as well?
This is a fast paced story with awesome characters Emma has been through so much in her life and now secrets are uncovered she is getting answers to all that happened years before and Tom has decisions to make about his future as his reason for being here in the first place starts to unwind. I loved this one so much it drew me in from page one, it is moving filled with emotion, it has everything that a reader who loves romantic suspense would want and I do highly recommend it and can’t wait for book two, Thank you MS Montgomery for such a fabulous story.
