I love Christmas stories no matter what time of the year it is, and seeing as it has been so hot here in Australia reading this lovely story set in a cold Scottish town at Christmas time made me very happy.

Iona Munro has led a life domineered by males, she divorced her husband became a midwife and is very independent, she relies on herself and herself alone, the only thorn in her side at the moment is her boss Dr Fraser McColl stickler for doing everything by the book and that means no Christmas decorations either, but there is a pull that she senses between them.

Fraser McColl lost his mother when he was young and right on Christmas time, so Christmas doesn’t hold much appeal to him, he has just been turned down by his girlfriend and decides that being alone and doing things right is the way it should be, but when he feels compelled to help out with a patient and her children and the lovely Iona, maybe that distant dream of having a family might just come true.

This really is such a lovely story, it shows what past hurts can do to people and how when the right people meet and the electricity flows between them that love will shine, it takes children, Christmas and the caring of two beautiful people to open up and find love at the best time of the year. I did enjoy this one and highly recommend it.
