I loved being back in Wirralong I loved the first series set in this outback country town and this time we get to see Lacey have her HEA although a midwife she has been keeping quiet as a housekeeper for a while but now it is her time to shine with the right hero, not a smooth journey though, love can always be a bit rocky.

Lacey Jerome is finally doing something that she loves doing and that is playing her saxophone at her friend’s wedding and it is time to go back to Perth and sort out her divorce and return to start a new life, but a wedding brings out happiness before her trip to Perth and giving in to her attraction to police officer Cameron James for one night will leave consequences that will change her life for the better.

James is happy playing the field he has no intentions of settling down or becoming a father ever after living the first seven years in foster care until he was adopted and moved to Wirralong he decides that that is the life for him, but watching and hearing Lacey play that saxophone does something to him and he needs to be with her and one night doesn’t seem to be enough, when she takes off and arrives back in Wirralong eight months later and he helps deliver her baby things are really going to change for him.

This is an emotional story, very moving as we journey with Lacey and Cameron, Lacey has been through a really tough relationship and is very wary of being her own person now and with a son to think of as well it is not going to be easy for her and Cameron the protector even if being a father is not something he wanted he soon learns that loving Lacey and their son is just what he does want. Beautifully written, some very exciting times throughout this story from a midwife and a story that is sure to make you smile, thank you MS McArthur I loved it.
