Venice the city of love, is it? Trish Morey has taken me to this beautiful city and bought to life a real Cinderella story of love and passion as Vittorio finds hotel maid Rosa lost on the streets during Carnevale and asks her to accompany him to Venice’s exclusive Carnival Ball, where life will change forever for them both.

Prince Vittorio is in a hurry to the ball, he has a lot on his mind like the pressure he is getting from his father to marry, not what he wants love is never going to happen for him not after the last time. He comes across a beautiful woman dressed as a courtesan lost in the streets of Venice during a fog, he rescues her and takes her to the ball where she helps him with a problem and then takes her home and what a sensual night it is but Rosa is gone before he awakes in the morning, but he cannot get her out of his mind.

Rosa comes from a little village in Italy and is working hard as a maid in a hotel, she has saved all of her money for a ticket on the last night of Carnevale when she is separated from her friends with no way of finding her way back when she is rescued by a warrior or so he seems and takes a chance on going to a ball with him. Rosa has never felt this sensual pull before to any man and is thrilled to go home with Vittorio, he promises one night only, but weeks later there is consequences and Rosa has no way of finding him.

I loved this story the Cinderella troupe is one of my favourites and this one had me from page one, Vittorio cannot forget Rosa and returns to Venice to return something she left behind, and is thrilled to learn of the consequences. Vittorio is strong and caring hero who fell for Rosa almost instantly even if it took him a while to realize it and Rosa strong stubborn and so very lovable, finding out Vittorio is a prince shocks Rosa and then to marry without love is hard for Rosa but she will show Vittorio that he can love. Fabulous story one that I highly recommend a must read for romance lovers.
