This is a sweet beautiful story, a story of mistakes and second chances of two people linked by their love of animals and people and wanting to help wherever they can, can Ruby learn to trust Simon and forgive him and look to a future together filled with love, happiness and fur babies?
Simon Benson comes from an average family he is loved and has friends, he meets the beautiful Ruby in high school and there is an instant spark one that sees them become fast friends and then more. Simon and his friend Tyler are into computer programs and work hard to make their first big sale, this caused problems between him and Ruby and they separate, but five years later Simon has his chance to prove that he made a mistake and still loves Ruby.
Ruby Costello is now running the animal rescue centre in San Francisco and this is a struggle as always having enough funds to carry on their work, at a fundraiser Ruby runs into her old boyfriend Simon and when she is auctioned off for dates, Simon bids a huge amount and wins the right to escort her to dinner, the more they are together the more Ruby’s heart is melting.
I really enjoyed this story, I loved how Simon went about proving his love for Ruby, yes Ruby was a bit hard to convince because trust is an issue and he had hurt her so much, but love wins over and the gorgeous HEA had me cheering them on and sighing and the fur babies are just so beautiful and so much fun in the story, I am looking forward to the next book in the series and this is one that I highly recommend it is sure to leave any reader smiling
