WOW what a fabulous debut, this book ticks all of the boxes for a Modern/Presents story, beautifully written filled with emotions and right amount of tension as two people Thea Lambros and Christo Callas join together in a marriage that neither of them wanted, I hope you come along for their journey to a HEA that is sure to leave you smiling.
Thea is being forced into marriage by her cruel father and it is the last thing she wants her and her best friend plan the great escape only to have it foiled by Cristo, there is a flare, spark between them that ignites, but Thea is a strong woman determined to make rules that will help her out of the marriage, but will she want an out as they spend more time together.
Christo is marrying to save the shipping line that has been in his family for many years he is not looking for love because after his childhood that is not going to happen, but when he meets his bride to be Thea, he is shocked by her strength and courage and as he gets to know her and the life she has led he finds himself falling for the beautiful Thea.
I loved this story from start to finish Thea what a heroine so strong and capable and beautiful on the outside and inside considering her childhood and the life she lived with her father and Cristo another person who has had a pretty bad childhood but together they open up and find that love is what they both want and together. Of course for me I love a Greek hero and a story set in Greece and this one is fabulous, I highly recommend it and I look forward to many more stories from Kali Anthony. This one left me sighing and smiling
