This is a lovely debut filled with emotion as we meet Indi Carmichael and her two children sixteen year old Noah and eight year old Ollie, they lost their husband and father two years ago and Indie is working so hard to keep the family cattle Mana Gum Farm a sustainable farm going, she has also just become an author publishing a self-help story about grief and loss. The farm is in serious debt and her son is not doing what a normal sixteen year old would do but Indie is ever moving forward with the help of her in-laws and best friend Carlene who wants her out and dating again and she is keeping all of her worries to herself, will life ever change for her?

Actor Ben Whittam has arrived in town to film a sequel to his first blockbuster but nothing is going right this time he is a widower who lost the love of his life two years ago and has a six year old son Will his grief is spiraling and the producer is not happy Will is having nightmares and nothing is going to plan for him in Kestrel Creek, until he loses Will and finds him in the arms of a beautiful woman who turns out to be a mother who has written a book about what he is going through could this be the start of a new life for Ben?

This is a beautiful story, a story about grief, strength and hope the spark that flares between Indie and Ben soon is too hard to ignore but with the pressure they are both under will they find the HEA they both deserve and their children as well? I highly recommend this one the characters are all so fabulous and MS Shaw has bought them all to life on the pages and had me crying throughout, it is emotional and moving, a new voice in the rural romance genre and one I am looking forward to many more stories from.

My thanks to Allen & Unwin and Netgalley for my copy to read and review.
