Emma McKinnon always wanted to be a reporter not necessarily following in her mother’s footsteps on TV but a reporter just the same she wanted the written words like a newspaper and finally she has got her wish and is moving her life to the small outback Queensland town of Bellethorpe to start work under editor Geoff at The Times and she is full of enthusiasm and raring to go.

Things could go wrong when Emma arrives and finds out that the owner of the paper wants to close it down, Angus Hummingbird son of the owner has been sent to see if they can turn the paper around and make it profitable but it seems that Angus is more interested in his singing but he does put some effort in and soon with changes Emma and Geoff are moving the paper into digital and a couple of print editions a week and Emma is off and running and making a name for herself in the town with her wonderful stories, but will it be enough?

Doctor Cole Willoughby is a Canadian and met Emma two years ago while in Scotland and they spent a wonderful time together running a bookshop but Cole’s sister was ill and Emma needed to return home and although they keep in touch through letters and messages both are getting on with their lives that is until Cole reads one of Emma’s stories and decides to make a trip to Bellethorpe could the spark still be there?

Emma really has thrown herself into the town and the newspaper and is like a dog with a bone when she gets the sniff of a story and uncovers something that will change a lot and what about Cole is there a chance that they can pick up where they left of in Scotland, there are a few hurdles to cross for them, will they get there?

I loved this one so much Emma is the best her determination and strength was fabulous, and Cole what a hero and catching up with the characters we have met in previous stories is always good, I do highly recommend this one it is moving and emotional and has everything a romance reader would want, don’t miss this one.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.
