This is the second book in Maggie Christensen’s new series and I thoroughly enjoyed it, I am loving Bellbird Bay and the characters we are getting to know, the setting is lovely, I do love being by the ocean, Maggie Christensen knows how to bring her characters to life on the pages and make them friends, I do hope you come along as we meet Grace and Ted.

Grace Winters lost her husband two years ago and the property is getting a bit much for her she does love living in Granite Springs but it is time for a move and Bellbird Bay is such a lovely spot and her sister lives there as well. Grace settles in a lovely cottage on the beach sadly two of her children are not happy with the move at all but Grace is determined to make a new life for herself.

Ted Crawford has retired and has moved back to Bellbird Bay the place he grew up he is loving being able to surf again and he has taken up his landscape painting and doing well, he has a son Arron and a grandson but when Aaron arrives and has problems Ted’s quiet life is turning a little hectic.

Grace and Ted meet at a dinner but their first meeting is not really good, it is when they meet at the beach a couple of weeks later that they both realise that they are attracted to each other, something that neither of them thought would happen again. But life doesn’t run smoothly when their children throw curve balls into their relationship and it takes time before they finally find the love they both deserve.

Another lovely story from Maggie Christensen, heart-warming and filled with lots of emotion, one that had me turning the pages as Grace and Ted had a very up and down journey to their HEA, a HEA that neither really expected, I loved the setting and am looking forward to the next one in this series. I do highly recommend this one especially if you enjoy an older couple.

My thanks to the author for my copy to read and review.
