I do love visiting Elsie Creek, these stories just keep getting better, I have really liked Marcus Moore the local cop since I met him and I knew he would need someone special to win his heart away from the job he loves so much and when that person arrives in town after the death of the local hermit then trouble starts.

Marcus is a cop and he is good at his job the local’s love him but his job is everything to Marcus and looking for love and a HEA is not on the cards he can be tough but he is fair, when local Rowan Peddler is found dead on his front porch Marcus is looking for a cause. When a stranger and her friend arrive in town for the funeral questions are asked and there are some revelations to come about this stranger’s father.

Wren Sumney is racing to get to Elsie Creek before the funeral of Rowan Peddler, she has bought her best friend Felix with her for support, saddened that she didn’t make it back to see him on his home ground and learn more about the family, but one thing Wren is determined to do is find answers as to why he died and discover the secrets about the Peddler family.

There is an instant spark between Marcus and Wren when he pulls her over as she arrives in Elsie Creek, when answering Marcus’s questions he is suspicious about why she would be arriving for the funeral, it is not long before Marcus finds out and an investigation starts when cryptic clues are left and a treasure hunt begins to uncover Rowan Peddlers past, although this becomes a very dangerous hunt that could very well mean the loss of lives.

WOW this is a must read story, it is edge of your seat suspense, it is witty and laugh out loud funny at times and there is the best sensual, fabulous romance building as Marcus jumps through hoops to keep Wren safe and Wren never gives up on the clues to uncover the treasure. You must come along and meet Felix and his friends and of course catch up with some of the other wonderful characters from Elsie Creek. I loved this one from start to finish, it is exciting, action packed and beautiful at the same time, a must read, I loved Marcus and Wren.

I do hope that there will be more visits to Elsie Creek, it is a great place to be many thanks Mel A Rowe for another awesome story.
