There is a reason why I love Kandy Shepherd’s stories, she opens my heart to wonderful characters and sets them on a path to happiness, filled with fun, wit and romance they are also filled with emotion and they are so very moving and this one is filled with all of the emotions as we meet, event planner Marissa and hotel tycoon Oliver.
Marissa Gracey does not like Christmas, as a matter of fact she is known as scrooge and the Grinch, she has her reasons for this and good ones and this year she has a trip planned to spend it in the sun not a cold Christmassy London, but when her best friends needs her help, Marissa cannot refuse and now finds herself at Longfield manor planning and creating the best Christmas ever. Only problems when she arrives she realises that she actually has met Oliver Pierce before, he was her teenage crush all those years ago and somehow she feels the spark is still there.
Oliver is back at the ancestral home after the death of his beloved grandfather a few months ago and is determined to make Longfield Manor’s Christmas the best there ever was, his grandmother it thrilled to have him there, Oliver has hired an event planner and when he meets Marissa who steps in to help her friend there is an instant spark between them not only does he feel it but his grandmother sees it and is convinced that they are a couple, Oliver wants everything to be perfect for Edith and convinces Marissa to be his fake girlfriend for the holiday.
As the festive season ramps up so does the spark between Marissa and Oliver, could it really be love at first sight? I loved this story so much the setting is just gorgeous luxury at its best, snow, and of course romance and love. I do highly recommend this one to any lover of Christmas romance because this one is one of the best, they are perfect for each other, my thanks to you MS Shepherd foe such a beautiful story that had me smiling all the way through, a must read.
