A new series from a new to me author this one is set in a small town called Service in Texas, this one is a second chance romance but will they get their HEA there are many hurdles to cross first.
Owen Crawford is returning home to Service, but determined to get back to active military duty after a bomb killed his best friend and injured him, he is starting physical therapy and he is starting it with the best, none other than his high school girlfriend Carly, she is running Horses for Therapy now, and their first meeting he feels the chemistry and sparks that have always been there, is there a chance that there could be a future for them?
Carly Maddux has never left Service, she made a promise to her dying mother to raise her baby brother and she has done that he is just about ready to graduate and then go to college that is if he knuckles down and she has pretty much been running her father’s ranch and Horses for Therapy. She wants to move on now find a life of her own spread her wings but her first love, Owen arrives and turns her life upside down, will she move or will she find the love she deserves?
I did very much enjoy this story although there were times I was frustrated with the way things were moving in their relationship, but love can do that to couples. It is a very emotional story at times with al that Carly and Owen had been through but love found its way, if you enjoy a small town romance then this is one that I would recommend.
