Last Chance Reunion by Linda Conrad is the last book in the series but it really is a 2 in 1 book.

Texas Cold Case

Colt Chance is an attorney for the justice department. He has returned to Chance County to heal after being shot in a sting that went terribly wrong. But he also wants answers to his mother’s murder. Twenty years ago his father was charged with the crime. Sentenced to prison it would be the last time the family would see their father.

Also back in Chance is Deputy Sheriff Lacie McCord. She left Chance county in a hurry years ago without telling anyone she was leaving, and broke Colt’s heart in the process. But she is back and determined to help Colt find answers. He also wants to find this sister Cami, who was kidnapped at the age of 4

One thing hasn’t changed over the years. These two are still very attracted to each other. And being back together it is like it was yesterday. These two are determined to find the answers to who killed Colt’s mother. But someone doesn’t want the truth to come out and they will use any means to prevent it.

This is an action packed, thriller, hold your breath mystery and I have to admit the true killer surprised me. WOW.

Texas Lost and Found by Linda Conrad is the last book in the Chance, Texas series and it does not disappoint.

Hot shot firefighter Nina Martinez witnessed a murder while fighting an out of control wild fire. When a fire tornado forced her to take protective shelter she thought her life was over.

Josh “Doc” White has been in love with Nina for a while but she doesn’t let people in. When he finds her near death, he rushes her to the hospital. After learning she witnessed a murder he is determined to keep her safe.

But a killer is on the loose. And these two are unsure who to trust. Josh also has uncovered a secret about her. Before he can tell her she is really Cami Chance, she disappears. I have to admit when she is reunited with the family and finally recalls a memory, it was just heartbreaking.

I loved both of these characters. Both were strong and Nina finally let her walls down with Josh. I also loved how tender Josh was with her the first time they made love. I thought the author handled that scene really well.

5/5 stars

Texas Cold Case and Texas Lost and Found by Linda Conrad

This is a 2 in 1 read from the brilliant Linda Conrad that has managed to always entertain me and transport me to a world where action meets romance and sets the pages alight with a passion so strong and hot that you will need a fireman to come and save you!

In the first read Texas Cold Case we meet Colt, recovering after being injured in a sting gone horribly wrong he is more determined than ever to solve the mystery of his mother's murder, see justice done and his father's name cleared.

He comes face to face with his past in the form of Lacie, not only is she the new Deputy Sheriff but she is also the woman who broke his heart without some much as any form of explanation. But he still loves her and this time around he will fight not only to get her back but to protect her from any and all harm, no way is he loosing another woman he loves.

The book was filled with absolutely stunning backdrops, a passionate dialogue and mind blowing action scenes that left me entertained and begging for more.

I could not put this read down, the level of intensity from the author when describing a character of a situation was incredible, and left me feeling more than just a little connected to the entire read. I could hear the guns blazing, feel the heat and passion between Lacie and Colt to such a extent it was as if I was actually trapped inside the read and being apart of it all!

Brilliant work Linda keep them coming !

                                                                                                xxxxxxxxxx

In the second read from this book Texas Lost and Found the author delivered once again ! Nina is a woman on a mission one of not being killed that is, and after being saved by hot shot doc Josh she is out of the woods right?

Wrong she witnessed a murder and therefore needs all the help and protection she can get, and who would not want a hotter than fire Dr to protect you and if he is in love with you and all he wants is you, what more can you ask for!

The read was full of fire and action, kept me on the edge of my seat at all times, I could wait to get to the truth revealing parts and the romance was so brilinantly incorporated by the author it left me thinking " I so want to be Nina" just so that I could say I am a character in this author's amazing books!

And that is no joke ladies, this author knows how to entertain, entrance and leave you with feelings of power, action, romance, passion and so much more!

I read this one in one sitting because getting to that awesome moment when the truth is revealed and it all comes together!

I highly recommend this read for anyone and everyone that loves Linda's books and for those of you that have not yet read her books, you are missing out trust me, action, hot hero's , strong heroine's, murder, drama and passion are only a few things on the list that you will get when picking up a Linda Conrad book. This read is quite a treat - two novellas in one volume, set around the Chance family, in Chance county in rural Texas.  Well, Texas is one of my favourite places in the whole world to read about and has been ever since I was an avid watcher of the DALLAS television series back in the late seventies.  All those good ole' boys going around in stetsons as arrogant as hell - sure does something for a girl.  I mean, who could forget Larry Hagman as JR Ewing?

The Chance family saga had me riveted - a family which has suffered so much tragedy.  The first story, TEXAS COLD CASE, concerns Colt Chance's investigation into the tragic murder of his mother so many years before, ably assisted by the beautiful Deputy Sheriff Lacie McCord.  Story two, TEXAS LOST AND FOUND, concerned the restoration to the Chance brothers of their little sister Cami, who had been kidnapped years before.

Each novella has a love story - Chance and Lacie's in the first book and Cami and Josh's in the second.  The second novella, especially, is pretty hot so you have been forewarned.

As suspense goes, this was excellent.  I loved the flavour of rural Texas which these stories evoked.  I also thoroughly enjoyed the way the stories built up the suspense, then drew to a rapid conclusion, satisfying for all concerned.  They really don't come much better than that.
