Convenient Christmas Brides #1

I really enjoy MS Thomas’s stories and this one is fabulous, two passionate people, a thin line between love and hate and two fathers that set them on a journey that could go either way, sit back and get to know Spanish Magnate Raul Valdez and Genealogist Lydia Carte-Wilson as they try to fight the instant attraction that could light up a city.
Lydia has not had a very happy childhood unloved by her mother and father and now she has been thrown into a position that is in all likely hood about to turn her world upside down when she is summoned to meet up with Raul Valdez regarding his father’s will they have not seen each other since she was a young teenager and that did not end happily. So now she is being asked to help Raul gain his inheritance and her father has a big part to play in it as well and it could mean getting married on Christmas Eve or being ruined.
Raul is furious with his late father he never wants to marry or fall in love, falling in love to him is a sign of weakness but there are debts to be paid off and he needs to get it done so as the people who work for the company will still have jobs there is a lot riding on Lydia and her answer, Oh but the sparks fly and it is not too long before they are having an affair a sensual one at that.
This story sizzles with a huge sensual spark that both Lydia and Raul try very hard to curb they really have been thrown in the deep end by their fathers but surprisingly soon learn a lot about each other considering how neither one wanted to be near each other in the first place, both normally keep to themselves but open up to each other in more ways than one. I did love this story it is fast paced and a fantastic journey to a very delightful HEA. I look forward to the next one in this series.
