Mel A Rowe is a must read author for me and there is a reason, she writes fabulous stories that are filled with all of the emotions that we go through in life and this new story is a beauty of a story, I was laughing out loud in the first two chapters (you have to meet Quakers) and then there was frustration and sadness and then I was cheering. I loved this story from start to finish.
Tea and Lottie Voss are sisters who have not seen each other for seventeen years and now that their father has passed away they have been set a task to spend a week on a road trip through The Northern Territory to scatter his ashes and get the inheritance of the farm, not straight forward as a map has been drawn for them and at each stop they get another clue as to where their next stop is, friends these two are not, will they get to be friends maybe if one does not throw the other out of the car.
But both are determined to honour their father’s wishes come hell or high water or ducks or willy willies but along the way they meet Devin hunky cowboy and truck driver who Tea is most attracted to even though it is the last thing on her mind, but Devin becomes a huge help to them as they journey and open up memories from their past good and bad, will they save the farm or lose it and what about the family secrets that are sure to cause some really big dramas and hurt.
I love a good road trip and this one took me along on an awesome adventure with Tea and Lottie and their journey to find truth, seeing them open up about the past was emotional in so many ways and the laughs along the way were fabulous true sisters don’t always have to be friends but can Tea and Lottie finally find that friendship and sisterly love and what about Tea and Devin, what a true hero he is on so many ways.
This was a brilliant story from start to finish and is a must read for anyone who just loves a good story, in a beautiful setting, the gorgeous Northern Territory it is filled with wonderful characters along the way. Thank you MS Rowe for another just awesome story.
My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.
