Best friends and neighbours Willow (Banjo) Patterson and Tom Forrest, their relationship was never meant to be more than friends according to Willow but maybe it was too late for Tom, what happens when a pact made when they were fifteen is broken?

The day both of them received their results and acceptance for university changed their lives, Willow left the family cattle station Patterson Downs in the Kimberly’s and went to Perth and university, Tom stayed home on his families cattle station Quintella. Ten years on and Willow’s father is not well and Willow arrives home to take over running the property, she knows she can do it and change it to a sustainable, organic cattle station, her biggest worry is Tom will they be able to put the past behind, she is not sure after finally reading the letters he had written to her, one thing she does know is that she will need his help with the property.

Tom was devastated when his best friend left and never replied to his letters, he worked hard to change the family cattle station to what Willow and he had always planned very successfully, but Willow is home now and he is determined to keep his heart safe, but will he be able to, he has never stopped loving her.

This is a gorgeous story filled with so many emotions, I cried so much and smiled and laughed as Tom and Willow form a working relationship to convert Patterson Downs to Willow’s dreams, that is not always easy there are some workers not happy with change, but along the way Willow and Tom are drawn back to their easy relationship, what will it take to make Willow see what they mean to each other.

I loved this one from start to finish and highly recommend it, I am so glad I finally read it, I have had it waiting for me for a long time, a must read, Tom is the best hero ever.
