I wasn’t sure what to expect when I picked this book up, by all accounts everyone seemed to be thoroughly enjoying it, and wow I did as well what a fabulous story it is fun and so very moving, there were tears and there were lots of laughs as I got to know Leon and Tiffy and their friends and family in this highly recommended story, I really had a hard time putting this one down after I picked it up.
Leon Twomey is a palliative care nurse he is quiet and reserved but loves his job, his younger brother is in jail wrongly accused and Leon desperately needs money to pay for solicitors to get Richie out, he works night shift and spends weekends with his girlfriend so comes up with the idea to rent is bed and flat out, they should never really have to meet each other.
Tiffy Moore works for a publishing house as an assistant editor and is desperate to find a place to live that is cheap, she has just broken up with her boyfriend and when she sees the add for the shared flat, it is perfect, making an appointment to look at the flat she meets up with Leon’s girlfriend who is going to look after the rental. Tiffy jumps at the chance and moves in quickly and adds her touch of decorating to the flat.
Within days Leon and Tiffy are communicating through post-it notes, about which side of the bed they should sleep on about food, as days and months go by these notes get more personal and it seems a real friendship is blossoming. Leon becomes a single man and Tiffy is having trouble with her ex but is so very supportive of Leon’s quest to get his brother released, finally a night out and a sleep in they finally meet face to face.
This book is going to be one of my favourite reads for this year and I do look forward to more books from MS O’Leary, there is a lot going on in this story it is moving and emotional in so many ways as Leon helps Tiffy overcome her abusive ex and Tiffy and her friends are such a fabulous help with Richie, there are many laughs as Leon and Tiffy find their HEA and the epilogue is just fantastic, don’t miss this one I loved this one.
