A VENGEFUL AFFAIR is the debut novel by Carmen Falcone, published by Entangled Publishing's Indulgence line.
Javier Rivera, a London-based business magnate, is intrigued to find the stunning receptionist Vivian Foster, snooping in his office after hours, pinching files. He suspects industrial espionage. However, there's no time to verify Vivian's credentials or check her motives. He has a plane to catch and a merger to sign. So he has no choice but to take Vivian along with him, using force if necessary. For Vivian, this isn't so much about espionage as it is about justice. She hates Javier and blames him for the death of her best friend a few months earlier. The enforced companionship which takes them to Paris, Switzerland and back again, helps them to get to know each other better. They learn that things are not always as they seem on first appearances. Then there's that attraction flaring between them. BTW the love scenes are smoking hot, so don't say you weren't warned.
A slickly written piece of romantic suspense which will grab you by the collar at the outset and won't let you go until it's finished with you. Vivian is a strong, witty heroine and I loved reading the dialogue in this novel, especially where she was involved. I had to read the whole book in one sitting, I just couldn't put it down. If you love suspenseful, romantic fiction, you'll enjoy this immensely. As for me, I'll be looking out for Carmen Falcone's next book.
Available on Amazon etc.
