Jess Greenacre needed a change and being a runner on a London movie set seemed the perfect place to start. She hadn’t counted on meeting Luke McKenzie on her first day. And the kiss they shared had fireworks coming off which rocked Jess’s world and left her wanting more. Was she ready for more from Luke?
Was Luke prepared to offer more to Jess? What about when he divulges the secret he is hiding? Would Jess be able to accept Luke with his secret out in open now?
BEHIND THE FILM STAR’S SMILE is an emotional tear-jerker of a story. Author Kate Hardy brought to live a gorgeous and sensitive hero and strong heroine readers would just love.

I have always been fascinated with the wonder of what goes on in the lives of celebrities when the cameras stop rolling. It is not hard from the information the medic gives us, to know that these people might be famous, but they hurt, love, get angry and pretty much do everything else we do.
But how does it all really happen, is it per change meetings at glamorous celebrity events? Or is it a little more " down to earth like regular people" ?
In this wonderful read from author Kate Hardy, she took me into the world of film star Luke McKenzie and what really lies behind his star studded smile. It starts with former police officer Jess Greenacre, she needs to bury her past and becoming a runner on a London film set is exactly the change of scenery she needs.
But her little adventure turns out to be filled with more drama when she ends up having to babysit award winning actor Luke McKenzie's adorable dog, so much less fun than keeping a watchful eye on a criminal behind bars, or is it?
An earth shattering kiss from Luke sends Jess into quite the one way direction of road to love and she wants more and so does Luke. But Luke has a past and secrets of his own can the honesty and love of Jess bring him back from the brink of loneliness or will he send her running when he reveals that he is less than star perfect ?
I adored the dog in this read, too cute for words and certainly the one steeling the show from the main characters. The character of Luke was a really great character to read about, I am sure the author did research and talked to actors to get a feel for it all, but even if she made it up using only her imagination it felt truly real for me as reader. I was right there for all the drama of the press that goes along with being an actor, the being here and there at the same time, really amazing insight into the world of an actor.
The character of Jess was really fun! I loved her funky life gives me lemons so I go somewhere else and make lemonade attitude. The entire character felt fun, fresh and not quite like other's I have read before, I really loved it!
I am recommending this really sweet and sensual read for anyone looking for a trip into the world of romance that will leave you with a very content and happy smile !
