I am very partial to a Greek hero and an alpha one to boot, so this book called to me by the title alone then the blurb added so much more interest, revenge, innocent heroine and family secrets and betrayal all rolled into one very sensual and emotional story.
Callista Gianopoulous has returned to the Greek island of Thalassa where she spent a lot of time on as a child on holidays from boarding school for her father’s funeral. A lot has happened to Callista in the last four years since she was here, she is happily living in England with her daughter and just about to become a nurse but will this all change when the person she loved since she was young arrives for the funeral as well Lucas Kalanos he was thrown in jail 4 years before and by the look on his face is not happy.
Lucas has returned for vengeance he is determined to prove his innocence as well as his father’s in all of the crimes that had happened in the past and to get back at Calista as well whom he is sure played a part in his charges as well, oh but the pull he feels towards her is sure to make this revenge sweet. And when he discovers her secret that he has a daughter well a little of him melts only a little until he sees the light.
I loved this story from page one even though there were times I could have smacked Lucas and his treatment of Callista but he really had been through so much and he loves his daughter Effie and yes Callista also and she proves that she has the strength to stand up to him the spark between them that has been there so long cannot be denied. I loved Callista’s strength and caring nature. This really is a fabulous story that I highly recommend another keeper.
