Annie West is such a fabulous story teller, she brings the desert and the characters to life so well, I have a real soft spot for a Sheikh story and have been looking forward to Karim’s story and was not disappointed at all, there were lots of happy sighs reading this one, seeing Karim get a HEA with the beautiful Safiyah.

Karim has been working hard in Europe since he renounced his title in Za’daq the country he had grown up in, but when a neighbouring country Assara’s council arrive in Switzerland to request that he take over as Sheikh for their country, he is reluctant that is until Queen Safiyah the woman he has never forgotten arrives to convince him to take over, the pull is still there but there is a lot between them from the past, will he be able to protect her and her son.

Safiyah has lived in an arranged marriage for years and has a young son, when her husband passes away a new Sheikh must be found and some of the contenders she does not feel safe with, but Karim is the one person that she does feel safe with and she is more than happy to marry him in another marriage of convenience to keep her son safe, but will she be able to keep her feelings under control.

This one is a real page turner, so many emotions so many misunderstandings that had separated Karim and Safiyah years before and there is pressure on them at the moment to have everything run smoothly but the sensual pull is still there stronger than ever and their journey to that wonderful realization of their love for each other is a must read story, another one for the keeper shelf MS West, I loved it.
