Are you looking for a short Christmas read, set in the Australian bush, in 1890 then this magical story is one to pick up I met the Miller family in a previous book by Darry Fraser and now Mack Miller has returned home just in time for Christmas, let the adventure begin.
Lizzie works in her father’s store in Munyup single mum to six year old Alice, who desperately wants a father, it is just about Christmas time everyone seems on edge and then strange Mr. Nicholas arrives in town with his offside Alf, or Elf or Elvin pick whatever name and strange things start to happen.
Mack has returned to sort things out with his brother Shep, Mack has lost people close to him and is deciding on what he wants in the future, he meets Lizzie and Alice in the store and Alice has decided that Mack would make a great father.
When trouble arrives in town and Alice is snatched Mack steps up and saves the day but will he win Lizzie’s heart as well and make Alice’s wish come true in the most magical time of the year?
A lovely story filled with magic and happiness, one that I do highly recommend.
