This is a sweet and beautiful second chance romance, the matchmakers at Maple Gardens are at it again and this time Lily’s son Max is the one they are determined to help find the perfect match, enter Ava, Max’s best friend through high school, will they find their happiness?
Max and his mother made a big move towards the end of high school and Max wasn’t impressed but he could not change it and in the process he lost contact with his best friend Ava, years on and Max is a wealthy business man a big change from his younger years, he is not interested in finding love, but then when Ava walks back into his life, could they find the friendship they had and could they make if more.
Ava missed Max terribly when he moved and tried hard to contact him but her calls were never returned she now lives with her Nana and works in a coffee shop but her true love has always been baking, when she is sent on a delivery with coffee she comes face to face with Max and her heart beats a little faster.
They decide that friendship is best for them and with Max organizing a big charity event he convinces Ava to supply the desert and soon she is cooking up a storm in cookies but the more time they spend together the more their hearts beat for each other. They both have a few things that they need to work out before they can find their HEA, will they overcome their problems?
This is a beautiful story that I highly recommend, I loved Max and Ava and the cookies are yummy.
