Shattered
Unfinished Business #4
Juanita Kees
OMG It seems like I have been waiting forever for another Juanita Kees’s book and I was not disappointed, I fell into this one and found it hard to put down, what an awesome story, fabulous characters good and nasty, great setting for this romantic suspense I loved getting to know Bridey, her sons and Cole, don’t miss this one, although part of a series it can be read as a standalone.
Bridey McCaffrey has lived a life filled with control by men since she was a very young child, her husband, Thom was picked for her and let me say that he is not what anyone would want as a husband, they have three young boys, Alex and twins Shaun and Garrett. She is totally isolated on their farm Mindelany Ridge on the outskirts of the small town of Moonie River, but when tragedy happens this opens up a whole new world for Bridey and a phone call starts Bridey on a new road to keep as many people as possible safe from one man.
Sergeant Cole Delaney moved to Moonie River hoping for a quieter life with small town policing after all he had been through but maybe that is not the case at first things were good taking on goats and breaking up small fights but then he meets the young mother who lives out on Mindelany Ridge and he sees the bruises and knows that something is wrong, and when later that day he is called out there to a tragedy Coles’ quiet life is now very busy as secrets are uncovered but one thing is for certain Cole will do anything in his power to keep Bridey and her family safe.
WOW this is one fantastic story fast paced filled with action it is heart-breaking and heart-warming as we see Bridey grow in strength, I was cheering her on throughout this story she has been through so much, it is now time for her to discover who she is and find love and happiness and Cole is just the person to make that happen.
MS Kees has taken on some issues that are very relevant in this day and age and done it with care and empathy, this story is so well written and one that I highly recommend, and I still have the first three books in this series to read, lucky me, it really is a fabulous story that any romantic suspense reader will love.
My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.
