Danger at the Cove #1
Emmie Lyn
This was the first book from Emmie Lyn that I have read and I am looking forward to more, in this one the first in a series we are in Clam Cove, Maine and we meet Hanna Moss and Blake Bowman will they find their HEA with all that is going on?
Hanna is working in a diner in town and minding her Grandfather’s adorable Golden Retriever Bella and she has just broken up from her obsessive boyfriend and as far as days go this one starts out very badly first she is late to work and now has no job then she is nearly run down by a car, if not for the quick thinking Bella, returning home to her parents for a few days Hanna meets a neighbour’s son Blake who is a private detective and Hanna’s father hires him to find out who nearly run her down, but can she trust him enough to open up after her past experience, Bella certainly does.
Blake has come home to Clam Cove after breaking up with his possessive girlfriend, maybe it is time to think about his future he does love what he does but maybe a move back home would be good, when he is asked to take on a job for a young lady he feels drawn to her and her dog instantly but love is not what he is looking for but as the clues come together Blake knows that Hanna’ accident was no accident at all.
Spending time together brings them closer as does Bella who plays a big part in this story and who is there when danger comes, this is a lovely story with some wonderful characters and some not so wonderful, I did enjoy getting to know Hanna, Blake and Bella as they journeyed to a beautiful HEA with ups and downs and danger and I look forward to more in this series, it really is a lovely setting.
My thanks to Tule Publishing for my digital copy to read and review.
