This is a lovely story, beautifully written it digs deep into the life of Greta Johnson a twenty six year old financial planner who made a big mistake, a huge one, but the question is can she learn from her mistake? I hope that you come along on Greta’s journey and see how she goes.
Greta arrives at her aunt’s rundown cottage in the hinterland of New South Wales, her Aunt is famous Australian artist Millicent Osbourne and Greta arrives to open arms even if it is a total surprise to Millie. Greta needs to start afresh a new life she must leave her old life behind but first she must get a job and start paying back the people she has hurt.
Brodie Quade is an artist and her aunt’s protégé, he is a fabulous artist but lacks confidence in himself his paintings come from his heart the feelings he has for the injustices that are done in this world to other people. He lives with his family in the local caravan park that they own and works odd jobs so as he can keep painting.
Greta and Brodie are drawn together but they come from such different worlds, but they draw strength and encouragement from each other but when Greta’s past arrives and Brodie’s parent’s future is threatened Brodie begins to worry if Greta has learnt from her mistakes.
Millie is holding an art exhibition and Greta is organising it, she is working really hard to pull this off and there is an art competition that she thinks Brodie should enter, but he is not convinced and Greta makes a decision that could change everything for Brodie and them. Millie then drops her news and life is going to change for the three of them, from mistakes people can learn and move forward and find love and happiness.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story, Greta worked hard to change her life around and gave Brodie the confidence he need to excel and he was just the person to help Greta and with Millie and her support they made it. This is a story that I recommend the setting is wonderful and the characters where lovely to get to know.
