This is the second book in The Billionaire's Legacy series and the first book I have read from this author and it won't be the last wow MS Blake sure knows how to write an Alpha hero and I loved him I am partial to Sheikhs.

Allegra Di Sione who runs the Di Sione foundation is sent on a mission by her grandfather to find one of his lost mistresses something that means a lot to her beloved grandfather and she is determined to retrieve it no matter what and how ever she can and this lands her in Dar-Aman with Sheikh Rahim Al-Hadi a powerful man that Allegra cannot help being drawn to but she has many reservations about his ruling ways though and this sets them on a very rocky journey.

Sheikh Rahim has been working very hard to change things around in his country after everything had been left neglected for many years he has lived the life of a playboy and know needs his reputation to be set straight and get on with running his country and Allegra is just the person to help if he can convince her of the truth of what he is doing but there is such a spark between them and Rahim has been hurt by love before and is determined that he will never love as his father did.

This is a fabulous story of strength love and power Rahim is such an alpha and Allegra is strong and determined and when one night of passion leaves Allegra carrying the heir to a kingdom this starts a very sensual and up hill battle to a very moving HEA. There are miss conceptions secrets locked away by both Allegra and Rahim that need to be overcome and when they are wow this one had me turning the pages and smiling and I highly recommend it.

I have always, always adored racing! The ultimate rush when hearing those engines roar to life, the pure adrenalin form watching the cars speed by! But aside from drooling over the cars there are the totally delectable sex on legs racing drivers!

Now those are simply something that racing cannot exist without, so what more could I ask for when a kick ass author incorporates the world of racing into a beautiful romance? Absolutely nothing because this read had it all!

The thrills, the spills, the sexual heat so hot the pages went up in a fire-y blaze, the speed, the focus and amazing to die for characters with such heart-wrenching issues it felt as if my heart was breaking for them over and over again the more I read.

The read tells of the no nonsense learned to fight back the hard way Raven and her quest to help sexy dare devil Rafael De Cervantes recover to perfect health after a near fatal crash, which she believes is her fault. However as she helps him on his road to physical recovery she discovers a man in far more pain than he lets the world see. And when she falls for his charm she knows she is trapped with no way out, that is until he kicks her out to go racing!

The character of Rafael was simply gorgeous! One of those delicious tormented hero's that creeps into your heart to set up residence for a lifetime.  Powerful and a total dream hunk but with such heart breaking issues you cannot help but want to wrap him up in your arms and make it all better! I adored that the author let this character play out the message of when we blame ourselves for circumstances beyond our control it only manifests and darkness is the only end.

The character of Raven was my kind of heroine! Strong, confident and ready to kick ass at any given moment! I could not get enough of how brilliant the author pulled this character together, letting her not only shine with a wonderful " I will not ever go down" attitude but with a sense of calm even when the panic gets so overwhelming it feels as it one could shatter with the suspense Raven holds it all together and the only sign that she is falling is a mere frown or two.

The backdrop settings as you already guessed were amazing, the cars, the men, the woman the action the adrenalin, all so brilliantly brought to life. The dialogue was loads of fun and had it all, conflict, action, emotional drama and scorching hot sexual tension. The author not only reduced me to tears but also had me on edge with the suspense at what was coming next.

The message for me from this read was simply beautiful, the past is the past and only if you let it will it control you to the point where reality has no way of returning you back to the real world, if you need help be brave enough to realize it , it could not only save you but also set on the path to happiness.

I recommend this for ALL fans of racing hot romance reads, simply sexy, sensual, overwhelmingly gorgeous and best of all it has hot racing drivers! This author truly knows what she is doing behind the wheel or is that typewriter, laptop okay maybe pen and paper? Who cares, go and get a copy of this ultimate prize book of the year!

Hostage to Love by Maya Blake

Belle feels betrayed and crushed , with little hope left so what does she do, she walks away from her marriage in hope of finding something better.

What she finds is the most unspeakable kind of horror that leaves her wishing she has stuck around with her husband rather than be trapped in the clutches of a rebel soldier dead set on making her his no matter the force or form of submission he needs to use.

Her rescuer is non other than the husband she left behind, and Nick is yes hurt that his wife has discarded their marriage so easily but he is also just like the rebel soldier set on making sure she remains his wife, but with much more devastating tactics, he will brand her with his unique form of passion and love.

The main characters in this book were so real and so stunningly written it left me feeling as if I could see the anger, passion and uncontrollable hurt rage between the characters. I loved how the author took me deep into the minds of both characters and created a beautiful story of passion and romance reaching the very top of happy ever after.

The dialogue was classic Maya Blake, hot, sexy, dangerous , exciting and filled with so much emotion that I once again felt drained afterwards, which we all know is a clear sign that a book is pure magic!

The locations used were so exquisitely described by the author that I felt has if I was trapped in the world she created. I could hear every sound, feel ever touch and sense every danger.

The author let the story flow effortlessly, making this one of the best action suspense packed romances of the year, I often find a suspense to be too dragged out, as if the author forgets that the story needs to come to an  end and it just keeps going from this to that and back again and leaves me as reader wanting to throw the book away and find something better.

But in this read as I said the author kept me entertained and on the edge of my seat, not one single dull moment!

I highly recommend this read for anyone looking for romance with suspense, action, danger and enough passion and intrigue to simply blow you away!

Brilliant work Maya, please don't leave us in suspense BRING US MORE!

The Sinful Art of Revenge by Maya Blake

Incredible book of the year alert! This read was absolutely stunning from each and every angle you look at it. It had action, drama, passion, romance, emotional heartache, new found respect, self discovery and so much more!

The read is about Reiko, to the outside world she seems to have it all, power, knowledge and wealth. But what lies beneath her silk gowns is a woman in torment and sorrow over a life changing decision she can never undo.

Her as perfect as can be life goes from "my way to the highway" in less than 60 seconds when her old lover tie-me-up-with-ancient-torture-devices-and-do-with-me-as-you-please Damion offers her a proposition, I should rather say a command to help him trace a lost painting as a last honour to his grandfather.

And right here ladies is where this author shows how incredibly good she is at what she does, and this is only her second book so that believe me says a lot, as some authors get it right the first time and then only again around book four or six.

The author takes the lives of two people bound to each other through love and exposes each one's vulnerability by pealing back layer by layer of insecurities, threats of possession, fears and happiness with such exquisite detail it brought me to tears, and left me hanging onto the edge of my seat in anticipation of what will happen next.

The main characters were both simply gorgeous and so exceptionally well written. I loved that Reiko was strong in fighting back against her inner demons, through her the author showed that it takes so much more than saying move on to overcome a inner darkness that can overwhelm your soul.

Damion was totally delicious and oh so very ruthless in getting his way, but I loved that the author showed he was truly connected and in tune to Reiko in knowing what she needs and not taking no for an answer to achieve his goal.

The backdrop settings were marvellous as France come face to face with Japan! I loved the absolute precision that author used to describe the characters surroundings, I truly felt as if I could touch the art being described ,I could see the colour and feel the texture and smell the paint! Brilliant work Maya!

The dialogue was laced with passion and emotion so strongly written by the author if was if I wanted to climb inside this read and help Damion and Reiko find their happiness and fight off anything and anyone even daring to tear them apart.

I highly recommend this read, if you love a truly good romance intertwined with emotional understanding as to what someone else is facing, action packed chases to the search for happiness, mind blowing passion and exquisite attention to detail this is the read for you, trust me you will not be disappointed .

"Facing your fears whilst staring into the eyes of love"

I have run out of fingers and toes to count the ways how perfect The Sinful Art of Revenge is. I’m literally afraid that my humble words will not give this story the justice it deserves to describe how it’s more perfect than perfect to me.

I gave Maya Blake’s debut novel The Price of Success 6 stars, I loved it that much. It was original (to me) and also had me captivated and my heart racing till the end (pun intended if you've read it and if you haven’t – please, please do) and I couldn't wait until the second release. I’m so so SO pleased to Maya Blake's second story The Sinful Art of Revenge has indeed delivered to me everything I loved, if not more, about the first. 

Damion hauls Reiko back into his life after a five year absence because she is the only person who can help recover a highly prized family possession. It’s clear from the very start they have a history. The first chapters are crafted in such a way that I was immediately captivated and completely consumed until the very last word. 

I fell in love with Damion and Reiko. I loved their story. They are two completely different people but so perfect for each other that I’m almost jealous I’m not Reiko. I felt that Reiko was written so well she could be a real person. I liked that she wasn't perfect in terms of her physical appearance and in terms of her reactions. I liked that she had more to overcome than Damion because the romantic-at-heart in me loves the idea of that perfect someone making everything better and loving me for me. 

The feelings The Sinful Art of Revenge evoked in me is almost unequaled to other books. It was an intense, emotional, dramatic, intriguing, passionate, breathtaking and quite perfect read. To top all that off it was laced with delicious humor that made me giggle out loud.

The “greenie” in me loved Reiko telling Damion “Francois suggested foie gras, but I've convinced him to change his mind” but the inner-romantic-still-believes-in-happily-ever-me’s favorite line in the entire book was when Damion looked at Reiko and mouthed “You’re mine”. Getting to this point in the story I think it was the first time reading a book in this genre I have ever thought “I wish that was me”.

The Sinful Art of Revenge is a must-read if you’re a romantic at heart, a fan of reunion stories, if you've read the debut novel The Price of Success do-not-miss this, if you're a fan of this genre, if you're looking for a book to read... in case this doesn't cover you, I still recommend it for you :)

Blaze - Eight Scorching Tales From the Minxes of Romance ~Various Authors

As a huge fan of fire fighter hero's I could not get to reading this book fast enough and WOW what a incredible book this was.

A collection of passionate,intriguing mind blowing tales of romance in a small town filled with hunky fireman and even sexy fire woman and the men and woman who bring them to their knees.

From the first book that offers a look at old flames being reignited ,to parent and teacher doing more than talking education to a stressed out lawyer getting stuck in a chimney and being rescued in more ways than one,each and every read was spectacular.

Fun, flirty, sexy, romantic, and not only were the descriptions of the authors sexy as sin fireman absolutely stunning the book was also a very easy read,and I finished it in a hour.

Each author did a spectacular job at zeroing in on the emotions of their characters and I also loved that all stories were set in the village of Coombethwaite, giving it that close knit family feeling.

Eight short stories all very well written.

The definite pick me up for when you need some rescuing. Nicely done ladies!

That minxy bunch of romance writing women, the Minxes of Romance have come up with a terrific idea for an anthology - all the stories are set in one place and all the stories have a common theme - fire!  Now there's a way for a dedicated romance reader to keep the winter cold at bay.

Coombethwaite is a rural English village with its very own resident gossip and cat loving old lady, Mrs. Cromaty and a pub called the King's Head.  It also has a posse of dedicated firefighters, all eligible and passionate men, some full time firefighers and some part time.  Oh and there's a firewoman too.  These are eight ebook shorts teamed (themed?) up in one anthology and combined, they're actually great value.

They are stand alone short stories which all together  make up a great read.  There are varying heat levels and this is a good choice for a romance reader who want to get out of their comfort zone and try a different level.  I'm more of a sweet romance girl myself so I was rather partial to Suzanna Ross's 'Smouldering  Attraction' and also to Tara Pammi's story which was, in my view, outstanding.  All in all, this was a most enjoyable read.  All the Minxes are top class writers.

This book was thrillingly addictive from page one.  I loved the characters of Sasha , strong ,  independent, and on a mission to save her father's name.

The character of Marco was equally lovable he is the perfect hero any woman would want to save her only with the perfect amount of arrogance, that just, just makes you able to hate him a little, but I also felt sad for him as all he really wants in life is the keep his demons at bay and keep his brother save.

I have for years been a major fan of racing and I totally adore when it gets incorporated into a romance, and what a romance this was.  And the fact that Sasha gets to be the lead driver totally left me with a feeling of wonder as it was really stunning to see the tables turned as usually it is the male characters that are focused on as racing drivers and the woman stand in the shadows.

The author used speedy scandal, delicious secrets and the thrilling backdrop world of racing to create the perfect story filled with romance, passion so hot the pages were burning up, action, thrills and spills.

The author's dialogue left me laughing out load and the emotion packed behind this amazing story left me in tears at times.

I loved the book to distraction and I certainly look forward to more from this truly aspiring author.

I would award 6 stars if I could!

The Price of Success “had me at hello”.  From the explosive beginning, thru to the gripping races around the world circuit to the emotions accelerating out of control, let me count the ways I loved this story.

Sasha is one of the few female race car drivers who’s fighting her way up the ladder in order to win her seat as the first driver for the team.  She's the daughter of a shamed legendary racer and family shame spurs her on to win the ultimate Challenge Cup in the memory of her Dad.  Enter Marco, the sinfully sexy owner of the racing syndicate Sasha drives for.  Due to Marco’s misguided belief Sasha belongs to his brother who is in a coma; he fights his attraction for her as he promotes her to first driver.  The story powers ahead and doesn't stop until you regretfully cross the finish line.

Sasha is such an amazing and inspirational character.  She is someone I would love to know. She is so witty! The dialogue between her and Marco is just fantastic! Sasha is one of the most remarkable heroines I have had the pleasure to read about. She has a fantastic job and is striving for success in a male dominated world. She holds her own and says what she thinks. Marco is every girls dream. Sure he is an Ass sometimes (as Sasha calls him)but he's likeable from the start and once you make it thru the emotionally gripping and heart-wrenchingly sad scenes, he's back to being every girls dream!!! Ok, he's definitely my dream! haha.

Fast paced, hot, emotional, fan-bloody-tastic story.  There was not one part that I did not like! If there's one book you must read this weekend, make it this one!
