The Last Guy She Should Call by Joss Wood

The Last Guy She Should Call

Every teenager will tell you they have the uncontrollable urge to take off running and just live their lives without any interference from their parents.

Of course when grown up they realize running away and being all grown up and making their own rules is not everything they expected it to be.

Of course for some it's the only way out because not all parents are able to give their children a little wriggle room.  We all need a chance to spread our wings and find ourselves, this is exactly what heroine Rowan does.

Stifled , feeling let down, heartbroken and out of place she takes off, floats from one country to the next and never once thinks about returning home.

So being deported back and straight into the arms of her arch enemy not only brings her face to face with her demons of the past but, it also traps her between a rock and a hard place or rather between running from love and wrapping herself around Seb and all the dreams he can make come true.

This author's books have been a favorite of mine from the first time I read her work, and in all honesty I did not believe she could get any better. With this read she completely blew me away, this is without a doubt the hottest, sexiest, spiciest most awesome book she has written.

The characters were very well written, created with true intensity. The author showed both Seb and Rowan as lost children needing to find their way through the hurt and muck of earlier years and let them develop not only into one of the hottest couples on the reading radar but, as adults standing up and fighting to come out stronger and more grownup than most people who have a very normal no mess no fuss childhood.

This read was so hot and spicy, with the conflict so full of life and so powerful it made me want to leap up and first head bash both characters and the next shove them into a room, lock the door and just let them sort it out before it was too late. Fabulously intense!

Exquisitely described backdrops, stunning dialogue, and mesmerizing passion all wrapped up into a perfect bubble of romance of the very best kind.

I'm taking away a message of we all run and sometimes it is definitely needed but at some point we need to grow up, stop running and instead face our issues and move on to the next part of our lives, not by running for the hills the second we have resolved the issues, instead stick around start fresh and build the life you always wanted even with the occasional hiccup the knowing that you have found home and have found the peace you seeked is all worth it.

I highly recommend this read for all fans looking for a hot, spicy, sweet, sexy and totally fabulously awesome read of how two people are more alike then they realize and how they lift each other up and over the rainbow. Joss keep up the SPICE!

No Time Like Mardi Gras by Kimberly Lang

No Time Like Mardi Gras

Women the world over know being arm candy is not always fun and games, because it comes down to "I have all the glitz and glam but no real emotional connection."

And as most celebrities do when their wild ride of fame comes under attack, the arm candy is the last to find out about the indiscretions, as well as get called every horrible name under the sun by fans who only know the media’s portrayal of the celebs.

Since heading for the nearest exit and a new life is the sensible choice, this is exactly what heroine, Jaime Vincent, aka Arm Candy, does. Moving to a new town, finding a job, a place to live are all doable and somewhat easy tasks, but keeping her hands off the temptation that is Colin Raine is the hard part.

She wants it hard and as much as she can have of it too! When Colin makes the fatal mistake of helping her without asking, Jaime takes it as her cue to get out of his bed and take control of her life back. Only Colin is about to do anything and everything a regular geek can do to ensure he gets the hot goes-for-jocks-girl back into his arms, even if he has to slay a million relationship zombies to get her!
I adored the character of Colin, sweet, kind, smart and generous and of course in true Kimberly Lang style to die for sexy, even if he is a total computer, game creating geek! The way he handles his mother's rather sensitive condition gave him that little extra something that made him the perfect real life hero, making him as close to the real deal as possible. Just an everyday guy learning to make sense of it all when the one in a million girl ends up in his arms.
The character of Jaime was really fun to read, I really enjoyed how the author let her emotional, based-on-past- relationship hangup's bounce in and out of her new found freedom. It was as if I was reading about real women everywhere, because we all run through the, 'what if he is just like’, or ‘does this like that guy did,' when entering a new relationship no matter how casual or non life controlling we think it may be.
The setting of New Orleans and its Mardi Gras celebration was exquisitely described! The author made it so real I could hear the pulsating music, feel the rhythm rushing through my veins and touch the excitement. All I wanted to do the entire time was jump up and start dancing’ make a grab for my very own Mardi Gras necklace, drag Colin of to bed and not surface until the next Mardi Gras comes around.
The read had all the ingredients of a best seller, fun, excitement, great conflict, a brilliant emotional punch and loads of humour. I'm recommending this read for anyone who is a fan of simply to die for sexy, sassy, sizzling hot, bursting with adrenalin romance reads. You will not only find yourself lost in a world filled with amazing characters and addictive settings, heated dialogues and toe curling kisses, you will also discover that once you've read Kimberly Lang there truly is no turning back!

The Wedding Season is a series about four woman finding love, learning about friendship and finding the true people they are meant to be along the way. These is causing havoc, taking off with ex's, falling into the arms of off limit men and even faking the big 'O' just to satisfy the man.

Yes this series had it all along with so much more than you would expect to come from a read about four friends each finding love. The series was brilliantly crafted by four of today's best selling authors.

The first read of the series The Unexpected Wedding Guest by Aimee Carson told the story of Reese and Mason, and how finding love the second time around with the love of your life is always so much sweeter the second time around. A fun and sensual afternoon read.

The second read Girl Least Likely To Marry by Amy Andrews tells the story of always taking the scientific approach  to everything in life Cassie, even when it comes to sex, and how Tuck is the one man she simply cannot analyse and how she finds the courage to let go and listen to her heart instead of her head. A fun, flirty, unusual and thrilling read.

Read number three in the series Maid of Dishonor by Heidi Rice  brings the life of Gina and Carter and how one passionate dream come true night can lead to a lifetime of heartache and secrets that once revealed might break a relationship or set it on the course of happy ever after. A sizzling hot, passionate and just plain awesome read.

The final book from the series Last Groom Standing by Kimberly Lang was the one that brought it all together for these four friends but also told the story of Marnie and Dylan and how grabbing a once in lifetime chance instead of going for the wine could lead to a romance so unexpected it will leave you feeling more than just a little drunk with love. A sensual, romantic, passionate and completely amazing read.

I highly recommend this read for all fans of romance. These four reads will take you on a journey of true friendship, heartaches, love lost and found and most importantly a word of pure romance brilliance as these four authors offer up reads that touch base with so many various kinds of emotions you will find yourself crying, laughing, rooting for the characters and yes even wanting to knock some sense into some of them.

Almost every girl was part of group of friends in high-school that after graduating still continued to visit each other, hang out, cause trouble and just generally be happy. Along the way of course each and every one of you either after a bad break up said you would never marry or that you hated men, but when the right one came along it was bye bye single life hello marital bliss!

In most cases everyone will rejoice and be happy, but what if you are the last one remaining single and with no sign of happy ever after on the horizon? Would you want to crawl into a whole and never surface again, or how about going for the wine and consuming as much as humanly possible or would you get out there and find the one? What ever you decide you need to remember that every event has a hidden meaning.

In the new Kimberly Lang read we meet Marnie, her perfect single girl group is now officially broken and she is left standing on the non-attached side of the dance-floor. Not one to simply take it lying down she decides she needs a plan, and part of her her plan is doing non other than kisses-sweeter-than-wine Dylan.

He is the perfect solution to letting go of the feelings she would rather not face up to, but once she has had him she finds letting him go is easier said than done. She falls for him hook line and sinker but Dylan is not ready to let go of his bachelor status and soon Marnie will need to let him go, will he come back or will she need to face up to a life of loneliness and never being able to love another?

The characters of Marnie and Dylan were both written to perfection! The author gave me a kick ass heroine and a to die for hero both written with such vivid and intense emotions I was thrilled with feelings of joy, sadness, passion, love, understanding and self discovery. Marnie and Dylan were so real it felt as if they would both jump out from the pages and start dancing their dance of happiness for all the world to see.

I loved that the author let Marnie be gusty when she needed to be but also back down when the moment calls for it, it showed her as a realistic character and not one of those very often found in romance reads that leaves you thinking " Yeah right, which woman would do that?".

Dylan was pure hero brilliance! He as the kind of hero you want to hate but you simply cannot not matter how hard you try. The author gave him flair and charm that made him ooze romance.

The backdrop settings were exquisitely incorporated by the author, it did not simply say romance and new beginnings but also said life is a dream all you need to do is reach for it. The dialogue was sweet, sensual, sassy and with a passion so hot it will leave you with more than just a burning desire to find your very own last groom standing.

I am taking away a message of  thinking you cannot have it all simply when you hit a low is never the answer. Go after what you need, even if you find it gets too much to handle, and don't sugar coat the truth stand up and say what you want to say, for you never know the objection of your affection might need to hear the truth to give them the push they need to open their hearts.

I highly recommend this read for all fans of romance, this read was sensual, romantic, passionate and completely amazing ! The author has once again proven that she is able to transport her readers to a world of romance filled with messages and meanings so deep and emotionally touching you will be on the edge of your seat waiting for the next read in order to once again be lost to the magic of her writing!
