Elyse Prescott has returned home after many years working hard in The City she grew up on the farm, when she left she left a lot behind besides her family there was also at the time her boyfriend Brett McCrane she didn't want to be a country girl she wanted more and has been happy or has she.

Brett McCrane stayed on the farm met and married when that ended he stayed and worked he was very close to the Prescott family but he has never forgotten Elyse and when she arrives back in town with her younger sister that spark is still there will it lead to more.

MS Lacy has written another winner with this one she has pulled such lovely emotions and a sensual spark to life on the pages for Elyse and Brett to re-kindle that young and first love. I loved this one from start to finish and I highly recommend this one to anyone who enjoys a fabulous emotional and moving read that will keep you smiling.

Elyse Prescott leaves her life and her boyfriend literally in his knees proposing to her to go to the big city. 

Now, she is a big-city corporate lawyer and back home for a visit. Could Brett let his heart be broken again? He realized he still loved her, but did she?

Helen Lacey takes us back to the outback in this romance. I loved reading this story. It had mesmerizing emotions and tantalizing chemistry between Brett and Elyse which wouldn't let her walk away the second time...o.r would it?

Highly recommended for all readers of romance.

"Her Christmas Cowboy" by Helen Lacey is a wonderful story about coming home again. Elyse Prescott comes home and runs into her high school sweetheart Brett McCrane. She left the country life for the city and didn't really want to come back home but her sister needed to come home. Plus, when she came back she found that her father was in the early stages of dementia. The draw to be with Brett pulls on her emotions, and after a 10 year absence their love is still there.

Crossing each other’s path resurfaces the past where romance had never been enough to keep Elyse in Denary. Could she and Brett finally find the happiness they so deserve after so many years?

I have read books by Helen Lacy before and she certainly did not disappoint me with her book this time either. 

Elyse Prescott grew up on the farm but it was not in her blood to stay there. She wanted the city life and left and is just now making a visit back to the farm and her father. Elyse is a lawyer who has a very busy schedule and a few days prior her 18 year old sister Billy-Jean turned up at her doorstep with a 3 month old baby named Jackson on her hip. The three of them headed back to their father and also to see the father of Jackson who has not clue that he is a father. 

Her going back to Denary, Queensland means also seeing Brett McCrane, her high school sweetheart who broke her heart, and whom she has not seen in 10 years. It was all a shock for everyone involved. She found her own father with the onset of Dementia, she found her family farm about to be foreclosed on and some unexpected feelings she still had for Brett. She really wants to go head back to the city but her family; the farm and all need her. 

Brett’s younger brother Rick just happens to be Jackson’s father. 

Sparks are still there between Brett and Elyse but she is determined to head back to the city. But when she is back in the city and has a busy schedule her secretary announces that she has a visitor who does not have an appointment. It is non-other than Brett who comes willing to do whatever to win her back. He is willing to even sell his family farm to do so.

A story of second chances. Elyse Prescott has all she wants since a young girl. She spent most of her life on a farm but she always wanted to be in the city now she is living her dream. All was right in her world until her sister shows up with Jackson her 3 month old baby. Her sister wants her to return to her home town of Denary with her which doesn't make her happy as she realizes that she is going to have to see people she would rather not. However she knows her sister must let Jackson's father know about the baby. Seeing her lost love after 10 years isn't the only surprise, her father has onset Dementia her family farm is up for foreclosure and all she wants to do is run back to the city. Sounds like a plan but even when she goes back to the city she loves she knows she can't just walk away, knowing how much she is needed. Realizing she still has feelings for Brett is the hardest part but Helen Lacey always gives you that warm loving feeling in her stories, so you know somehow Elyse will realize that you can go home, actually go home and be happier than you thought possible. Always a fantastic story is given by Ms. Lacey and this is another example of her wonderful writing. Loved it.

This is such a good story moving and emotional as MS Marshall Takes on a subject that can be controversial and she has done this so well truly this is a story that had me turning the pages.

We meet Pathologist Charlotte Johnson she is very pretty she is a caring and hard working person she is also single and aims to stay that way after her fiancé walked out on her after she had an operation that she had thought a lot about and decided that it was the best thing to save her life but it is also a major life changing operation but Charlotte is positive, you see she lost her Mum when she was young to breast cancer and that pushed her into the job that she loves and her decision. But when she meets Dr Jackson Hilstead Charlotte’s life is about to change and in such a beautiful way.

Dr Jackson Hilstead has moved to California left everything behind in Charlestown to start a new life divorced and getting over PTSD after being badly injured in Afghanistan Jackson has a prosthesis and the couple of woman he has gotten close to since moving shy away and with two sons already children and marriage is not what he wants but he is drawn to the beautiful pathologist Charlotte this could be what he needs to bring out the best in him again and make him happy.

This really is a must read story it is beautifully written the caring and loving Charlotte and Jackson are so drawn to each other but with scares from their past it takes a bit of time for them to take the plunge to find true love. Charlotte’s decision to have the surgery is handled so well I shed some tears but was smiling throughout this one, the scenery is fabulous as well. I highly recommend this story I loved it. It is part of a small series Sumer Brides but can be read as a standalone but I am looking forward to the other one in this series.

I've just recently said that Lynne Marshall writes stories that are not always the norm for this type of genre and I feel she approaches her stories with such a solid depth that you always have a big sigh at the end of the story. 

A GOOD big sigh, especially for Wedding Date with the Army Doc; it represents the emotion of the journey taken on as a reader; it represents the tears that may have been quietly shed during the book, either because things written you can relate to or just because you're all caught up in what you're reading; it represents the happiness of the two characters, in this case Jackson and Charlotte, who achieving their happy ever after and it represents true appreciation of the hard work it must have been to write such an emotional story with a double whammy of heartbreaking topics.

Both topics are approached with caring and sensitivity as well as boldness and I loved how both Jackson and Charlotte got to know each other and liked how the inevitable was handled. I applaud the story and the choice to write about such topics.

I recommend this story if you are looking for something special.

I am never disappointed when I pick up a Lynne Marshall medical romance. Ms. Marshall tends to bring out the best in her characters by delving deep into their pasts, torturing them with the demons they’ve locked away in their dark forbidden closets. In Wedding Date with the Army Doc we meet Charlotte Johnson, a woman who knows pain from the inside out. She has put dating on hold after her surgery. However, when Dr. Jackson Hilstead walks into her life, Charlotte couldn’t help but register the butterflies in her stomach. Could she start dating again if it involves the hot doctor? Jackson is sexy and brilliant at his job but beneath his outward charm is a man who life has beaten and bruised over the years. And Charlotte may very well be the balm Jackson needs to heal his broken soul. Overall, I think Ms. Marshall has done a fine job bringing together Jackson and Charlotte. These two characters compliment each other. They bring out each other’s best qualities. And their journey through the ups and downs makes this book a worthy read.

This book about imperfectly perfect people by Lynne Marshall is all about how life does not stop when tragedies happen. The story talks about the idea that people are beautiful and whole even when a body part is missing because a body part does not a person make.

I'd have rated it a 5 on 5 if not for the fact that both of them had body image issues. Both had some part missing. It felt as if they understood each other because they have been through the same (albeit differently) process of losing something of themselves.

It would have packed more of a punch if one of them did not loose a body part and still understood what the other went through.

Thus, making it a 4.5 for me

"Wedding Date With The Army Doc (Mills & Boon Medical)" by Lynne Marshall is part of the series 'Summer Brides' but it also a read alone book. In this story we have Charlotte Johnson, who has overcome an operation, and Jackson Hilstead who is drop dead gorgeous. He invites her to a family wedding and that just gets Charlotte to thinking about the future. The only problem is that Jackson needs to concur his past in order to move to the future. It's a great, quick read.

Whenever I pick up a Lynne Marshall book I know I will enjoy. This is a must read for sure. 
Charlotte Johnson is a pathologist and had an operation that left her feeling different about herself. She had both breast removed and her fiancé could not deal with that. So she has been very leery of any man as she feels that she is not whole. She did it to prevent cancer and yet now she wonders. 
Dr. Jackson Hilstead moved to California leaving everything behind. He was injured in Afghanistan and suffered from PTSD. He wears a prosthesis which turns most women off. 
However, he finds Charlotte and realizes she has lost a part of her body so she might understand him better than anyone else. Plus, he would understand her also. They move slow and steady.
Body parts missing does not mean no love, hope you will enjoy as I did.

Charlotte Johnson spends her life in her pathology lab living the life she feels she wants. She has decided that there is no HEA for her and there will be no husband or children in her future. Enter Jackson Hilstead a surgeon in her hospital and someone she really has feelings for, feelings that she thought she put away forever. Take these two people with secrets of their own and put them together and find out that plans sometimes go astray which will when Jackson asks Charlotte to go to a family wedding with him. Charlotte had made a lifesaving decision she must live with and Jackson has a medical secret also. Both find out that love doesn't change for a medical issue. Ms. Marshall always writes such lovely stories and this is an example. She puts two people feeling they will go the rest of their life alone in touch with each other enough that nothing can stop the course of love

One Night... Twin Consequences by Annie O'Neil

MS O'Neil writes stories that have the best banter between the hero and heroine and personal banter as well this is a story that will keep you entertained and smiling throughout there will be many emotions that you feel while reading this story I thoroughly enjoyed.

Dependable reliable research nurse Harriet Monticello always is there for everyone she is the strong twin sister the stable one she lives for her job at Saint Nicks she has done so much for the orphans and sick children that are there but when her boss decides that she needs to do a talk in front of the board and then go to Buenos Aries to study and work at the orphanage that the delectable Dr Matteo Torres runs this knocks her for six but also brings her so close to Matteo and one very sensual and reckless night that will change her world forever.

Dr Matteo Torres runs an orphanage in Buenos Aries and he throws himself into what he does he has suffered the loss of his younger sister and makes a promise never to marry and have children of his own but he works so hard for the kids and young mothers that are in need. His need for donations takes him to England and Saint Nicks and here he meets the beautiful Harriet there is such chemistry between them on their first meeting the sparks could light up a room and when one night together leaves consequences well will this make him see what love can bring to both of their lives.

This is one of those beautifully written stories that has everything a romance reader will want emotions, up front dialogue that will have you smiling and the deep love and caring of two people that have been through so much but have so much to offer each other and so many more people. MS O'Neil has done it again this one is for the keeper shelf and I highly recommend it sit back with a drink and enjoy.

Sister Harriet Monticello is offered an amazing trip to Argentina to work alongside of Dr Matteo Tores at an orphanage and to help with funding.  Not one to jump outside of her comfort zone Harriet knows this is a lifetime opportunity - and one she'd embrace, if she hadn't just had a one night stand with the said Dr.

With no choice Harriet reluctantly leaves her comfort zone and pretty much her home, St Nicks, and heads to Argentina.  It's there she learns the fate of her one night stand.  Despite Matteo working closely with orphans and children, there's absolutely nothing in his manner that indicates he'd want to be a father.  Wanting to run, Matteo convinces Harriet to instead stay and continue their work.  Between the chaos of the kids and the close working quarters, Matteo faces his past with guts and bravery but Harriet still runs.

Matteo is a handsome and hardworking Doctor who's hurt in his past drives him.  Harriet is a beautiful soul who takes on her research work with 200% commitment and until she meets Matteo she's never really lived her life.  Complete opposites who both have the same love are bought together in circumstances outside the norm in a read that is packed with detail mixed with descriptive writing and captivating conversations that did a fantastic job of playing with my emotions.

What is evident within the absorbing read which gained my attention from the get go was the bond between Harriet and her sister Claudia who's story is Twin Surprise for the Single Doc, by Susanne Hampton.  I'm very much looking forward to it and will be adding it on my tbr list.

I really enjoyed One Night... Twin Consequences and I think Annie O'Neill is building an incredible library of enjoyable books which will stay on my to be read again shelf.

"One Night....Twin Consequences" by Annie O'Neil gives us the story of Harriet Monticello she works at a hospital that caters to children in London, and is always trying to find funding for orphan children. We also meet Dr. Mateo Torres who works in Buenos Aires, his home, and is also trying to get funding for orphans. When Mateo meets Harriet sparks will fly, and life between them gets a little complicated.

Time outside your comfort zone definitely makes you stronger and brings out the best in you while it helps in your personality's development. That is exactly what happens with Harriet who believes she is too shy for anything but work and taking care of family. A very realistic description in my opinion as I have seen many a people sacrificing their true self for the sake of the ones they love.

As it is said, our past molds to who we are in the present. Likewise Matteo has seen too many children in need of assistance to bring into the world any of his own. The resources are scarce as it is.

That all changes when these two meet and the love blooms between them and they must prepare not just for one addition in the family, but two.

Saying that, I wish I have twins one day too. :')

The characters come alive and grab your attention from page on in One Night, Twin Consequences by Annie O’Neil. The author layers emotion, vivid description, and engaging dialogue to take readers on an emotionally moving journey. Ms. O’Neil’s flawed characters and the stories they have to tell rivet you. Harriet Monticello is tasked with travelling to Buenos Aires on behalf of the children’s hospital she currently works for. While there she comes in contact with Dr Matteo Torres who works at the same hospital. Dr Torres is researching ways to improve the overall working conditions of the hospital. Working together brings Harriet and Matteo closer. They act upon their attraction and the consequence of their passionate night together lead readers on a dramatic journey. Will Harriet and Matteo work out their issues? Since Matteo isn’t too keen on settling down. Read on to find out!

Harriet Monticello had a twin sister named Claudia. Claudia Monticello was pregnant with twin sons. After she delivered her twin son and it was save to travel with them she was coming to live with Harriet. 
Harriet worked at a hospital that catered to children and was asked to go to Buenos Aires to work with the orphans there and with Dr. Matteo Torres. He was currently at the same hospital that Harriet worked and he was looking for new ways and new support for the fact that his hospital they needed funds and more ideas. 

Dr. Bailey had arranged all this and had arranged for Harriet to give a lecture that night and she was not having it. Dr. Bailey knew that Harriet avoided public speaking like the plaque and she also had somehow managed to avoid Dr. Torres also during this so far stay at St. Nick’s. 

She gave her speech and she also started working with Dr. Torres soon it was obvious that sparks flew between the two. When time for Dr. Torres to go back to Argentina they had one night together. 
Annie O’Neil wrote the book so you could feel like you were right there in the places with the characters. 
Harriet discovered while in Argentina that she was pregnant and also with twins. Dr. Torres had his secrets and did not share them with anyone and would never marry or have children. I won’t spoil it all but you will enjoy reading this wonderful story that Annie O’Neil has given us. I am sure you will love it as much as I did.

Nurse Harriet has the opportunity to work trying to get funding for the orphans with Dr. Matteo Torres in Buenos Aires which is his home country. Both of these have secrets of their own why they are so interested in helping but not interested in a family of their own. Harriet is easy to understand and she pulls you into her personality. Matteo is deep and even though he is attracted to Harriet he has no intention of letting it go beyond an affair. Sounds like a plan till one night their easy affair gets super complicated as Harriet finds out she is pregnant. Simple solution get married? Not simple Dr. Matteo Torres has no intention of having a family. You will fall into this story and as hard as he seems you will fall in love with him and learn to understand. Ms. O'neill has a way of getting you wrapped up in her stories and you will love how she carries you to the end with a smile. Love her stories and always just enough medicine. An author to follow.

Dr. Matteo Torres has dedicated his life to helping orphans and young mother’s in his home country. When he visits a hospital in London in hopes of receiving funding to expand his facility, he meets nurse Harriet Monticello.

Harriet is a shy, work-oriented person, and enjoys making her facility run smoothly. When her boss and Matteo put the idea out there that she should visit Buenos Aires to decide if they should fund the new project, she is torn. She loves her job and doesn’t want to be away for a second, but Matteo is HOT and she would follow him anywhere!

Can Harriet manage to get past the walls Matteo has erected around his heart, or will she only be banging her head into them in trying to reach him?

ONE NIGHT, TWIN CONSEQUENCES by author Annie O’Neil is May 2016 release by Harlequin Medical Romance series.

Dr. Matteo Torres is in UK to source funding for his orphanage in Buenos Aires. So the hospital in UK sent Nurse Harriet Monticello to the orphanage to implement some changes. Working together with Matteo, passion flared and they spent the last night in UK together.

Now working in Buenos Aires they try to keep their personal and professional lives separate. But would they manage it? Especially when Harriet discovers her explosive secret!

ONE NIGHT, TWIN CONSEQUENCES is a story about twins sister being only family each has. It’s also a story of one night leading to consequences. It is an emotional story full of drama and tension. Author Annie O’Neil once again bought this medical drama which would keep a reader hooked till the last page.

Highly recommended for all readers of medical romance.    

The Doctor's Forbidden Fling by Karin Baine

I love a book that pulls at my heart strings and makes me feel lots of emotions and this is a book that does just that beautifully written this story had me turning the pages as Nate and Violet take a journey that is filled with worry doubts and yes a pull that had been around for many years.

Lady Violet Dempsey arrives back to her aristocratic home in Northern Ireland when her father has a heart attack Violet ran away seventeen years ago after she lost her mother in tragic circumstances and she left on bad terms with her father and left the one person that she could depend on the one person that she should be able to love the hired helps son Nathaniel Taylor. There is a lot of water under the bridge since then Violet lives in London and works as mental health nurse and still carries a lot of hurt from her past will this change with being home.

Nathaniel Taylor has done well for himself he is now a top cardiologist working at the hospital in County Down not the boy next door anymore still single because he has no plans to settle down and marry the one person he thought that he could marry left him years ago he felt spurned and it has left him hurt so when that person Violet arrives at the hospital where he is treating her father the sparks are still there can they make amends for past hurts?

Truly this is a book you will not want to put down the sensual pull between Nate and Violet burns up the pages and the pain from the past is so emotional both are determined never to marry, throw into the mix her abrupt father and his health and problems and this one becomes a roller coaster ride to such a wonderful HEA I cried I smiled and then the sigh as they join together with the help and love from Lord Dempsey. Thanks you MS Baine for another keeper you never disappoint this is one I highly recommend.

You can never go wrong picking up a medical romance written by Karin Baine. Ms. Baine is a talented and insightful writer who takes a simple plot and spins a web of drama and romance—making the story her own in every engaging word, dialogue and scene! Always creating characters that jump off the pages makes her latest novel: The Doctor’s Forbidden Fling no different than her other well-loved stories. She has added depth, meaning and purpose to her main characters—Violet Dempsey and Nate Taylor. She tests their will and strength. Placing them in unlikely scenarios and having them overcome the obstacles blocking their path to happiness. You won't be disappointed you chose this book. It is all out entertaining. So grab a copy and prepare to be propelled on a journey where romance, trials and of course a deserving happy ever after keep you hooked from beginning to end!

A story that makes dinner late.  

Violet and Nate were childhood best friends who's teenage friendship grew into more.  Their parents would never have approved.  Her being the daughter of an Earl and him being the son of her father's cleaner!  Years and years later, already in shock about her fathers heart attack, Violet is even more shocked to find Nate her father's chief Cardiologist.  

It's clear from the get go Violet and Nate have unresolved issues but coming home for the first time in a long time Lady Violet also needs to resolve her issues with her father and what became of life after the death of her Mother.  Inspired into nursing after the death of her mother Violet has spent her adult life avoiding her life at home and now she's back there's no avoiding it. 

Unfortunately her Father has let his health, his home and his financial status crumble and it's up to Violet to try and figure out how to fix things as well as deal with her father who's awesome at acting like a two year old and also deal with the realisation her feelings for Nate are still as real today as they were long ago.


Two characters whose chemistry is as clear as the words on paper, The Doctor's Forbidden Fling had me curled up and reluctant to get up and go about my day.  I really liked the storyline, the interaction between Nate and Violet and their background story that helped shape them into adults.  Violet is a likeable heroine who had the desire and drive to go out and be somebody, not live off her family's money.  Nate is an engaging and determined young man who also had the desire and drive to go out and be somebody.  Both have never forgotten each other and how important they were to each other in their childhoods and all of this coupled with Karin Baine's detailed writing, wit and humour makes a fantastic read.

"The Doctor's Forbidden Fling" by Karen Baine is listed as a medical romance but it is classic romance all the way. I loved this story. Lady Violet Dempsey returns home because her father suffered a heart attack. She runs into Dr. Nathaniel Taylor (Nate) who was her friend that she left behind. Nate went from being the son of one of the servants in Violet's family to a top cardiologist. After spending some time together they find that love is deeper than they thought, and a new surprise is on the way.

A modern day Romance with the upper crust of British elite slumming.

No, I do not mean that if you do not have a title you are good for nothing. After all I come from a place where there is no monarchy.

Back to the story, Nate believes (quite rightly) that to Violet he means nothing but the guy she friendzoned years ago when he expressed his love. The man may have been about town but the pain is as fresh.

Violet, on the other hand, don't want entanglements in her life. She wants her freedom.

Both of them running away from commitment for different reasons.

What really got to me about the characters is how they understood each other. An ever present connection that could not be severed with years and distance. Social status be damned, they are on equal footing as their heart beats together.

Once I started reading, just could not put it down and had to finish it (and hoping it won't end). And in one night I read the last word.

Violet Dempsey has to come home as her father is in hospital with a heart attack. Violet and Nate Taylor have a past history but she has no idea she will run into him. When the room door opens and she sees him after all these years she feels he heard about her father however the last things she expects is to find out he is her fathers cardiologist. Nate is cynical and part of it is because he feels Violet left since he was the son of her family's servants. One of the reasons he accomplished what he did. Spending time together as he try's to help her fix the financial situation her father is in they start to rekindle old feelings. This brings them together and since she thought she was protected, forgetting she didn't take her pill one day, finds she is carrying his child. She refuses to go into a loveless marriage and Nate is not of believer of HEA. Read this lovely story Ms. Baine wrote to find out how these two people bridge the distance and misunderstanding to get the happy ever after Nate doesn't believe in. Her story will keep you engrossed from the first page and you will anxiously await the conclusion. A wonderful author you will follow as I will.

When Violet Dempsey is called home due to family illness, she makes the trek back to the royal life she left a dozen years ago. Upon arriving, she runs into the boy she left behind all those years ago.

Cardiologist Nate Taylor never knew why Violet left, but it turned him cynical about love and thoughts of happily ever after when she basically threw his feelings back in his face by walking away without a word. He's risen above his upbringing as the son of the servants, and has done well for himself.

Fighting their attraction doesn't work very well for the two of them, and when they discover they have a little surprise on the way, how will they decide to deal with it? Will she decide to run for the hills again or will he convince her she's worthy of the love he has always had for her?

Violet Dempsey left her home years ago. She left her friend Nate Taylor then too. 

Violet got a call that her dad had a heart attack. She came back and went to the hospital to see him. Nate was now a cardiologist at that hospital and was actually the attending doctor to her father. 

Violet and Nate did spend time together during the time that her father was in the hospital, then he came back home after rejecting more care and within 24 hours of being released he was back in the hospital with another heart attack and this time a different thoughts about getting more to the bottom of the heart condition and grieve of his wife having died. 

During his stay Violet and Nate spent time together and within weeks she found that she was carrying his child. They had been careful and she was on the pill but missed one the first night when she got into town. Now they would be a family of three if Violet would accept it. Her thought process of love and happy endings was pretty tainted and she had to change her thoughts, but Nate never revealed to her that he loved her. She could not enter a loveless marriage. 

Karin Baine always writes such and great story and one that keeps you reading and waiting on anxious pins and needles as to what will happen. Enjoy the book as I know I did.

This is such a beautiful story to read so caring loving and to see how love can grow from a spark and the need to help one another and the joy that a child will bring this is a story that will pull you in from the first page and will have you smiling.

Sara Marcum is an only child who grew up with her father, her mother left her when she was young and has left her with a couple of fears but Sara is a nurse and just such a caring beautiful person she has done so much to help friends and is very close to her father. So when a friend asks her to help out a Doctor and become a nanny for a short time Sara reluctantly says yes being with a baby brings back so many memories for her she pulls out the strength needed and arrives at this huge house and although there is a strong spark their first meeting does not go well.

Dr Grant Smyth has been cheated by his father and ex-girlfriend but when they are killed in a car accident he steps up to take on the care of his little half sister Lily and he needs help this is where nanny Sara Marcum steps in but Grant is a busy transplant surgeon and there are lots of sparks at their first meeting but Sara shows strength and stands up to him this might be a temporary job for Sara but when Grant needs a wife to get custody of Lily things are going to change drastically for both of them.

So Grant offers to help Sara and her father out in exchange for a marriage on paper both are really caring loving people and this starts a journey to such a wonderful HEA I loved this story the joy that they bring to each other and Lily and to see so many people smiling of course no journey is without a few problems and I loved the strength and courage that is shown and the true deep love that comes from making sure that a baby has a home and is loved. I highly recommend this one it is a beautiful emotional journey, MS Carlisle never disappoints.

Sara Marcum agrees to marry Doctor Grant Smythe so that he can gain custody of his half-sister. But would Grant be able to persuade Sara to become his wife for real when he came to know her well?

And would Sara agree?

I read MARRIED FOR THE BOSS’S BABY in one sitting and loved the emotions, drama and the tension in this story. Author Susan Carlisle once again brought this amazing tale on the pages which would hook her readers in and keep them hooked till the last pages.

Highly recommended for all readers of medical romance.

Married for the Boss’s Baby by Susan Carlisle is a well-written, super fun, super sexy story where instant attraction between the hero and heroine creates the setup for a sizzling romance. You will find this story quite exciting from page one. It is guaranteed to evoke a sigh once or twice as the characters intermingle and get closer!

Dr Grant Smyth’s world has just become more tension filled than ever. With the death of his father and ex-girlfriend, Grant is now tasked with caring for the infant child they left behind: his infant half-sister. Grant’s life is already hectic at the hospital where he is a transplant surgeon. How can he singlehandedly care for a baby and carry out his duties as a surgeon at the same time? Impossible! The only thing left for him to do is hire a nanny…someone to care for little Lily. In walks Sara Marcum into his life like a breath of fresh air, a ray of sunshine. Sara is fantastic with Lily but beneath her charming outer persona is a woman broken up inside. Bonding with Lily brings back memories of her past. However, having Grant around and taking care of Lily makes her life easier. And so a romance is born where two people help each other heal and find happiness even when the horizon appears bleak and distant.

Grant is a surgeon who's last relationship turned to custard when his girlfriend left him for his father and they had a baby together. Unfortunately they died in a nasty accident and Grant is left Lily. Desperate for a nanny - a transplant patient waiting for him on the table - when Sara walks in she's a gift from god - but of course nothing is as it seems and so begins a beautiful, often hilarious, wonderfully written tale of two people who grow to love little baby Lily and as well as each other.

Faced with a custody battle Grant proposes to Sara and the two embark on a temporary married life journey. As each day passes Sara finds it harder to accept one day she will walk away. Lily is a wonderful addition to this story, she's a central character but written in such a way she's a delight to read about and she's the reason Grant and Sara are essentially "together".

I love Sara, she's like a ray of sunshine, she's funny without trying to be and she's just delightful. Grant is engaging and quite the read! With Lily thrown in and the perfect penmanship of Susan Carlisle, I adored this story.

Sara and Grant have a baby to take care of and they are both not ready. Nothing new about it. People have babies all the time and learn to take care of them.

The catch here is, the baby is Grant's baby sister (albeit a half sister) and Sara is but a nanny.

Brought together by circumstances, these two learn to love the baby as their own and strive to love themselves enough to be able to open their hearts for each other.

Not love at first sight, their feelings develop as they understand each other in a very domesticated setting. The banter, however, is to die for as it brings the characters to life.

This is a beautifully penned story that I read in one go. There was no way I was going to put it down.

I have an obsession with medical romance stories and find the Susan Carlisle fills that need.
Grant Smythe’s father didn’t pay attention to him except to steal his girlfriend and then get married to her and have a baby together. Grant has a baby sister and since his father and step mother died he is now responsible for Baby Lily. Grant is also a successful surgeon and has his own apartment but moves into his father’s house to ensure that he has everything Lily needs. 
Grant has been advised by his lawyer that he would stand a better chance at getting Lily if he was married since a judge prefers a married couple. Otherwise he can give her a wonderful lifestyle but since Evelyn’s (his step mother) aunt and uncle wants to take her and Grant certainly does not want that. His sister should stay with him. 
Sara Marcum the new nanny is there and Grant can get back to work. After an adjustment and Sara’s help Grant starts to be more and more comfortable taking care of Lily. Not only is Grant in the medical field but Sara is also. 
What will happen when Grant proposes a marriage in name only and for business of retaining his sister only? Will Sara go along with this and what will her father think of her? Will Sara say yes which not only offers her an end to some financial issues that are going on, a place for her father and perhaps an end to Sara’s regret for something in her past? You will not be disappointed in the answers and in this wonderful story. 
This was one book that I had to read almost from start to finish in one sitting as it peaked my interest from the start.

"Married For The Boss's Baby" by Susan Carlisle is a great medical romance that had me gripped from the very beginning. Dr. Grant Smythe is now legal guardian to his little sister after his father and stepmother die in an accident. There's a couple of problems with this; first, he is a busy Dr. because he's head of the transplant team, and second, the stepmother used to be his girlfriend. Grant is looking for a Nanny and Sara Marcum is there to fill the job. There are some problems that pop up, since life can not be at all simple for Grant, in that his stepmother's family want to raise his sister. So, Grant does the only thing he can....he proposes marriage to the nanny.

This is a story of an innocent with secrets that force her to make decisions about her future and a duty and honour bound man who is drawn to Destiny like no other woman, their journey is filled with the ebb and flow of should I should I not Destiny has no idea where these feelings are coming from only that she needs this man for a short affair but when there are consequences the domineering man steps in and Destiny is torn this is what she has been trying to get away from and she is so scared she must open up about her close held secret but true love might take a bit to feel but when they do the sky lights up with a million stars, I highly recommend this story if you love Sheikhs and deserts with strong and loving characters I really enjoyed this one.

Destiny Richards a horse whisperer and an innocent young woman who is doing her best to get away from a father and step mother who are domineering and controlling she has a secret that she keeps very close to her there will be no marriage and no children for Destiny she has protected her younger sister and she is now away from the family living in London and now maybe Destiny's chance for freedom, if she is strong enough to convince the gorgeous man that has arrived to convince her to go to his country of Kezoban and work with the Sheikh and his horse, will this be what Destiny needs.

Sheikh Zafir Al Asmari has arrived in England to find the much talked about horse whisper Destiny Richards it is the last hope he has of saving his beloved horse after a terrible accident that lost him is only sister. Zafir is a man of duty and honour and when he is mistaken for an aide to the Sheikh by Destiny he plays a long he is so drawn to this woman like never before and when she drives a hard bargain for her to go to Kazoban he agrees and here starts a sensual journey for them both.

Destiny Richards is known for her "horse whispering" skills and she comes to the attention of Sheikh Zafir Al Asmari. Zafir thinks Destiny is his last hope to help his horse who is traumatised by a tragic event. Destiny is reluctant on one hand to leave what she knows and travel to far away lands but desperate to escape her awful step mother and controlling father she blazenly hikes the price up with who she thinks is the Sheikh's assistant. Desperation and intrigue makes Zafir agree. 

With Zafir's beautiful desert home as the backdrop of this wonderful tale, I found myself swept away with the story. Zafir is bound by strict rules of conduct and Destiny is mixed with the need to get away and the magnetic pull she has to Zafir and to explore what they are both feeling. Letting their guards drop at night, far away from both of their duties they fall in love, but if life was as easy as that this magical story would be over. 

The Sheikh's Last Misteress is full of intrigue, drama, passion, a tragic but understandable back story which I thought was quite unique, I loved how Destiny had quite the unique job and I loved the battle of wills Zafir had between himself and protocol. 

Thank you Rachael for another wonderfully crafted story.

"The Sheikh's Last Mistress" by Rachael Thomas is a read alone book, and it was classic romance at its best. Destiny Richards has a way with horses. Sheikh Zahir Al Asmari needs help with getting one of his horses to leave the stables after an incident that took the life of Zahir's sister. Zahir comes to meet Destiny and pawns himself off as an aide to the Sheikh. Destiny is doing her best to get out the her family relationship because it's not a happy one. When the two get together sparks will fly!

A last fling for him that leads to a happily ever after with the heroine living her worst nightmare that is eventually turned into the most beautiful dream.

To be perfectly honest, I loved how Destiny was before she met Zafir. One look at the man and she loses it but where heart rules you have not much choice. And Zafir of course was an egotistical arrogant jerk to begin with. Just because you rule a country does not mean you have dominion over everyone who walks the Earth!

But in a story what matters most how the character is further developed and that Rachel knows down pat.

Loved how the characters evolved throughout the story. The way they got to know themselves better based on interactions with each other was a treat and the deference to a culture is really awe inspiring.

A fabulous job.

The Sheikh’s Last Mistress - Destiny Richards accepts Sheikh Zafir Al Asmari’s job offer as a horse whisperer and hence she travels to Kezoban. Working for Zafir and seeing him constantly awakens a fierce storm of attraction between them. And as one thing leads to another, they are faced with the consequences of their passion where they must think not of themselves but that of the life they created together. My verdict is: The Sheikh’s Last Mistress by Rachael Thomas is angsty, intense and overwhelmingly dramatic. The thought-provoking story-line will either have you loving or hating the characters and the stories they have to tell.

Sheikh Zafir Al Asmari finds the riding school nestled in the countryside beyond London and walks up to see a woman with a horse. He through her mother (step mother) had hired Destiny Richards to work with his prized Arabian Stallion named Majeed. The step mother had assumed that this man was sent from the Sheikh and not the Sheikh himself. He did not correct her.

This stallion had been involved in a tragic accident which had claimed Sheikh's sister (Tabinah) life. 
Destiny is to travel to Kezoban and at first rejected the task that had been agreed between the Sheikh and Destiny's step mother. The length of time for the job was a 2 month term. Destiny's step mother used her gift with horses to monetarily profit her. Other than that she had no use for Destiny and as result Destiny wanted to be free of her. Could she use this opportunity to be totally free and start her life over? 
Destiny rearranged the payment to be given to her, travel expenses and hopefully enough to start a new life. She also asked that she sees and meets the stallion first. Zafir almost told her who he was when he said that his private jet would take her to see the horse.

After Destiny arrives the sparks still fly between her and Zafir. They go for a morning ride and Destiny finally says she wants him. They spend one night together and he is stunned to find that she is a virgin. 
Rachael Thomas tells the story of a girl giving the gift of her virginity to someone she trusts and loves. The story of the Sheikh so distraught over how his sister died that he feels he cannot have a life with anyone other than the chosen bride by his aides. Also how a rare blood disease is the reason her mother died giving birth to Destiny and that she has no idea if she has inherited it from her mother or not. She was never tested since she was not interested in love, marriage, or children. Rachael Thomas also paints the picture through words of what the desert and Kezoban and the culture of Kezoban is like and also of the beautiful horses there.

A commoner and a sheikh share a sensual affair with each thinking the other is cold and indifferent to the feelings flaring up between them. They have each had their share of heartache, and I enjoyed seeing them attempt to overcome it with each other.

Sheikh Zafir Al Asmari has a job offer for Destiny Richards, and he's willing to meet her demands to get her to accept.

Destiny Richards is desperate to get out from under the controlling figures in her life, so when the sheikh offers her a way to pave the way to a future on her own, she decides to take it.

What neither of them count on, is the heated attraction between them anytime the other is near. They agree to one night of passion before they part ways ... but destiny really has struck when consequences unfold!
