Her Baby, His Love by Lynne Marshall

Review by Cheryl | 5 Stars

ynne Marshall knew 100% what she was doing when she wrote this love story between Taylor Clark and Joe Collins and calling it Her Baby, His Love. It deserves more stars then 5.
Sometimes life just isn’t fair. Sometimes it takes twists and turns and you stop trusting people. But sooner or later you will find that it was all to lead you to forever love.
Taylor got taken by her newest boyfriend. She thought it might last and so when her coworker brought the newspaper and showed her what that boyfriend was really doing she knew she had to give notice and leave town. She was so hurt and so dejected again as if she had not had enough heart break by her parents and still did.
Joe knows he should not get involved but something in Taylor’s eyes caught his attention. He is has been a member of the town called Charity, Montana. Taylor moves into a house that he is a property manager for. He did not expect her quite yet and so the house outside we not finished up yet.
Joe’s ex worked in the diner in town and Arlene kept thinking that Joe was still going to be hers. Along comes Taylor and Arlene gets even more wanting to be possessive.
Taylor’s ex comes to town after finding out from a private investigator finds her but he finds that she will not ever do what he wants her to do again.
Have fun reading the story and see if you agree it deserves more than 5 stars. Lynne Marshall has written a wonderful heartwarming love story.

"Her Baby, His Love" by Lynne Marshall is a wonderful book. I enjoyed this story between Taylor Clark and Joe Collins. Alone and pregnant Taylor moves away from her ex boyfriend, who is engaged to another women, to find a new life for her and her child. Joe is an ex con who becomes Taylor's landlord. What I found refreshing was that this book didn't show the characters in the usual angst of how they should behave or feel. Taylor moves to Charity, Montana and because of her nursing degree is able to find a job. She sincerely wants to be happy. Joe could've let what happened in his past leave him with a chip on his shoulder but he's a nice guy. There is so much more to their story. It is a pretty quick read as the book flows well.

aylor Clark doesn’t make the best choices when it comes to men. After she finds her current boyfriend is cheating on her, she decides it’s time for a fresh start in a small town. Joe is also no stranger to making wrong life choices but has served his time. Now, he’s put his past behind him and has become a man of good character. When Joe meets Taylor, he believes he has found the one. The only problem is she’s carrying another man’s child. Can he put aside his attraction to her and earn her trust by becoming her friend? Is friendship enough or will the spark they both feel turn to love?
This was an enjoyable love story. The romance between the secondary characters was also endearing!

Lynne Marshall brings to life the characters she writes about and the settings add so much to the story and this is a story about a heroine Taylor Clark who has a hard time trusting but to love she needs to learn to trust and who better than to help than the people of the small town of Charity and one very gorgeous hero Joe Collins although he has a few issues that Taylor needs to get over first. Their journey is one that has a few hurdles to jump first but those hurdles always add to a story.

Taylor has moved towns to get a new start in life she has been duped by a few men in her life and she is over trusting any man, but when she settles into her new job and house and now finds herself pregnant and alone she is determined to manage. Her landlord Joe Collins and neighbours Dixie and Ram help but getting close to Joe could be a mistake for Taylor you see he is an ex-con not trustworthy material.

Joe has lived here in Charity for a few years now and has been celibate for four of those years he runs the nursey and is always there to help but when new comer Taylor moves in he is hard pressed to remember he is celibate he is attracted to her in more ways than one and now that she is pregnant well that pull seems even stronger.

I loved how the town and Joe rallied around for Taylor when the ex-boyfriend shows up and I loved seeing how she finally realized that Joe is one trustworthy and very lovable hero and to see them start a future together with the baby had me smiling. A thoroughly enjoyable story that will pull you in.

A sweet story of redemption. Finding a reason to trust again after a lifetime of disappointment leads to a new chance on life for Taylor, and Joe finds a way to forgive himself for past mistakes by becoming a good and honest man. They're an adorable couple ... and it's a pleasure watching them find their way to each other.

Taylor Clark is looking for a fresh start after finding out that yet another man has let her down in life, so she moves to Charity, Montana. From the start, she's attracted to the property manager of the house she's renting, but she's not ready to let another man into her life again ... and when she shockingly realizes she's pregnant with her ex's baby, it just complicates the situation even more!

Joe Collins is attracted to Taylor as well, but he leads a different type of life here in this small town, and he's not sure about adding a relationship to the mix. They agree to be friends and tell each other their secrets, but along the way they continue to rely on each other and grow closer. Taylor is able to overcome the fact that Joe is an ex-con, and Joe is willing to step up and care for her more than anyone ever has.

When her ex shows up in town making waves, will their fledgling relationship be over, or will they find a way to get their happily-ever-after?

Review by Adel | 4 Stars

This is a sweet story about two people who made mistakes in the past, trying to sort out their lives and not fall into cycle of destructive decisions. Taylor Clark was disappointed by a couple of men in her life and now she is pregnant, alone and starting over in a new town, determined not to repeat past mistakes. After being released from prison, Joe Collins moved to Charity to start a new life and become a better person. He succeeded in making a good name for himself and he is giving back to the community, but gaining Taylor’s trust is going to be the biggest challenge yet!

I enjoyed the story and the way the characters changed their lives around to become better people. The chemistry between Taylor and Joe is explosive and the way the trust between them builds up gradually is fantastic. This is no instant gratification type of relationship between the characters.

I recommend this to any romance lover wanting happy ever afters!

This is such a good story moving and emotional as MS Marshall Takes on a subject that can be controversial and she has done this so well truly this is a story that had me turning the pages.

We meet Pathologist Charlotte Johnson she is very pretty she is a caring and hard working person she is also single and aims to stay that way after her fiancĂ© walked out on her after she had an operation that she had thought a lot about and decided that it was the best thing to save her life but it is also a major life changing operation but Charlotte is positive, you see she lost her Mum when she was young to breast cancer and that pushed her into the job that she loves and her decision. But when she meets Dr Jackson Hilstead Charlotte’s life is about to change and in such a beautiful way.

Dr Jackson Hilstead has moved to California left everything behind in Charlestown to start a new life divorced and getting over PTSD after being badly injured in Afghanistan Jackson has a prosthesis and the couple of woman he has gotten close to since moving shy away and with two sons already children and marriage is not what he wants but he is drawn to the beautiful pathologist Charlotte this could be what he needs to bring out the best in him again and make him happy.

This really is a must read story it is beautifully written the caring and loving Charlotte and Jackson are so drawn to each other but with scares from their past it takes a bit of time for them to take the plunge to find true love. Charlotte’s decision to have the surgery is handled so well I shed some tears but was smiling throughout this one, the scenery is fabulous as well. I highly recommend this story I loved it. It is part of a small series Sumer Brides but can be read as a standalone but I am looking forward to the other one in this series.

I've just recently said that Lynne Marshall writes stories that are not always the norm for this type of genre and I feel she approaches her stories with such a solid depth that you always have a big sigh at the end of the story.

A GOOD big sigh, especially for Wedding Date with the Army Doc; it represents the emotion of the journey taken on as a reader; it represents the tears that may have been quietly shed during the book, either because things written you can relate to or just because you're all caught up in what you're reading; it represents the happiness of the two characters, in this case Jackson and Charlotte, who achieving their happy ever after and it represents true appreciation of the hard work it must have been to write such an emotional story with a double whammy of heartbreaking topics.

Both topics are approached with caring and sensitivity as well as boldness and I loved how both Jackson and Charlotte got to know each other and liked how the inevitable was handled. I applaud the story and the choice to write about such topics.

I recommend this story if you are looking for something special.

I am never disappointed when I pick up a Lynne Marshall medical romance. Ms. Marshall tends to bring out the best in her characters by delving deep into their pasts, torturing them with the demons they’ve locked away in their dark forbidden closets. In Wedding Date with the Army Doc we meet Charlotte Johnson, a woman who knows pain from the inside out. She has put dating on hold after her surgery. However, when Dr. Jackson Hilstead walks into her life, Charlotte couldn’t help but register the butterflies in her stomach. Could she start dating again if it involves the hot doctor? Jackson is sexy and brilliant at his job but beneath his outward charm is a man who life has beaten and bruised over the years. And Charlotte may very well be the balm Jackson needs to heal his broken soul. Overall, I think Ms. Marshall has done a fine job bringing together Jackson and Charlotte. These two characters compliment each other. They bring out each other’s best qualities. And their journey through the ups and downs makes this book a worthy read.

This book about imperfectly perfect people by Lynne Marshall is all about how life does not stop when tragedies happen. The story talks about the idea that people are beautiful and whole even when a body part is missing because a body part does not a person make.

I'd have rated it a 5 on 5 if not for the fact that both of them had body image issues. Both had some part missing. It felt as if they understood each other because they have been through the same (albeit differently) process of losing something of themselves.

It would have packed more of a punch if one of them did not loose a body part and still understood what the other went through.

Thus, making it a 4.5 for me

"Wedding Date With The Army Doc (Mills & Boon Medical)" by Lynne Marshall is part of the series 'Summer Brides' but it also a read alone book. In this story we have Charlotte Johnson, who has overcome an operation, and Jackson Hilstead who is drop dead gorgeous. He invites her to a family wedding and that just gets Charlotte to thinking about the future. The only problem is that Jackson needs to concur his past in order to move to the future. It's a great, quick read.

Review by Cheryl - 5 Stars

Whenever I pick up a Lynne Marshall book I know I will enjoy. This is a must read for sure.
Charlotte Johnson is a pathologist and had an operation that left her feeling different about herself. She had both breast removed and her fiancĂ© could not deal with that. So she has been very leery of any man as she feels that she is not whole. She did it to prevent cancer and yet now she wonders.
Dr. Jackson Hilstead moved to California leaving everything behind. He was injured in Afghanistan and suffered from PTSD. He wears a prosthesis which turns most women off.
However, he finds Charlotte and realizes she has lost a part of her body so she might understand him better than anyone else. Plus, he would understand her also. They move slow and steady.
Body parts missing does not mean no love, hope you will enjoy as I did.

Charlotte Johnson spends her life in her pathology lab living the life she feels she wants. She has decided that there is no HEA for her and there will be no husband or children in her future. Enter Jackson Hilstead a surgeon in her hospital and someone she really has feelings for, feelings that she thought she put away forever. Take these two people with secrets of their own and put them together and find out that plans sometimes go astray which will when Jackson asks Charlotte to go to a family wedding with him. Charlotte had made a lifesaving decision she must live with and Jackson has a medical secret also. Both find out that love doesn't change for a medical issue. Ms. Marshall always writes such lovely stories and this is an example. She puts two people feeling they will go the rest of their life alone in touch with each other enough that nothing can stop the course of love

Emotionally stirring, sensually mesmerizing and beautifully written, His Pregnant Sleeping Beauty by Lynne Marshall will keep you engrossed until the end. This is a story that will pull at your heartstrings. The tension between Joseph Joe Matthews and Carey Spencer is evident on the page as their past haunts their present day life. They recreate their past pain every chance they get. I cannot give away much of the plot without baring the essence of this intensely consuming story. But I will say this: would you be willing to put your trust in a stranger if you’ve been abused and been hurt by loved ones in your past? Keep this question in mind if you think about giving this story a try. Joe, owner of the ambulance service that is contracted to Hollywood Hills, meets a beautiful Jane Doe. Unfortunately it's during a mugging and she's knocked out. Joe can't explain what makes him stay by her side when she's in her coma but when she comes to he learns she's pregnant and is escaping her violent partner. Offering Carey a place to stay seemed natural and so begins a wonderful story about two people offered a second chance a life, love and hope.

The reason I really like Lynne Marshall's stories are because she writes with depth and plots that are not always the norm in this genre but has the ability to do so in such a way I find myself slowly, surely and very softly drawn into the heart of the story. Joe with his heartbreaking story, Carey with her baby and the two of them growing closer and closer – something has to give.

His Pregnant Sleeping Beauty is a fantastic addition to a wonderful series. I enjoyed both Joe and Carey and I was very very interested to see how the happy ever after was going to pan out. Coupled with Lynne's depth of writing I really really enjoyed this read

Sometimes, it so happens that when a person is not made for you, things will go wrong. However you may want them to be otherwise. The same is true for Joseph and Carey.

Joseph married a woman but she was not the one meant for him.

Carey was having a baby with a man but he was not the one meant for her.

Meeting in strenuous conditions, Joseph's could not help but feel responsible for Carey and her baby and she starts depending on him to be there for her and the baby.

A very sweet story where even thought the hero wants to be all macho and always be there to save his woman, he makes sure that she knows self-defense because that is how life is. He can't be always there.

A book that I will be picking up again. Soon.

Paramedic Joseph Matthews is at the right spot at the right time. He notices a woman that has just gotten off the bus being attacked for her bag and something possibly worse. Joseph goes to rescue her and gets slices in the process by her would be assailant. He does not manage to stop the theft of her bag but he does rescue the female.

Joseph is a divorced man and he has bitterness thanks to his memories. However he vows to be there for the female who has now been left in a coma.

Carey Spencer has her own story to tell and she was for sure in the wrong place at the wrong time. She is pregnant and running away from the baby’s father and now has no identity other than Jane Doe and Joseph calls her the Sleeping Beauty.

When she came to she immediately asked if her baby was okay and when she got the word that yes the baby was fine she had tears in her eyes and also so did Joseph.

Lynne Marshall is a wonderful author who can capture you from the start of the book and right up until the last word is written. This showed there are bad people and good people; there are people that should never be a dad and some that should be. It is a wonderful story and deserves more than 5 stars.

A story about two people who for different reasons are very distrustful. Carey Spencer is pregnant and on the road to escape her abusive relationship with the hope of starting over. Joseph Matthews spends his life as a paramedic taking care of people in trouble, just not the trouble Carey is in. When he sees her attacked and her purse stolen it is only natural he goes to her aid. However she is badly hurt and in a coma and he feels for some reason he must stay involved and try to help her. Getting involved is not easy for him as he was betrayed by his ex wife and trust is hard won by him but there is something about her that makes him feel he has to try to help her. Ms. Marshall has put two deeply wounded people in a no pun intended crash site with each other. You will fall in love with Joseph, and the love Carey has for her unborn child is something every women can appreciate. This book will pull you in and wrap itself around your heart and you will enjoy the ride that Joseph and Carey take to their HEA.

Review by Lynne - 5 Stars

Lynne Marshall has a way with words that wraps you up in the life of her characters and takes you along for the ride with them as they travel the ups and downs of life and happily ever after!

Carey Spencer finds herself vulnerable, pregnant and alone in the beginning of this story, and almost immediately walks right into danger!

Paramedic Joseph Matthews is at the right place at the right time to come to Carey's aid and get her medical treatment as soon as possible. He sits by her bedside just waiting for this beautiful woman to open her eyes and tell him she's okay. Though his life has been in an upheaval due to his ex-wife's betrayal, he's not the type of man that can turn his back on a woman in need, so he offers Carey all the help she needs to get settled back on her feet after she wakes up.

Neither Carey nor Joe can ignore the attraction they feel for each other. They try to fight it, but it just won't go away. Can this wayward woman be the answer to healing Joe's heart? And will this good-hearted paramedic show Carey that there are men out there that you can truly trust?

Journalist Lilly Matsuda writes headlines, she never makes them! Until she runs afoul of Gunnar Norling while on a assignment in the tiny town of Heartlandia. Gunnar has been sworn to secrecy about the town's mysterious past and he refuses to compromise that for anyone even very tempting and beautiful Lilly , who is as all journalists should be , hot on the trail of a good story!  And of course to her it does not matter much anyway, it's a headline today and a past story she did tomorrow. She'll be long gone and onto the trail of the her next headline before the impact of exposing the town's secret even hits her. That is unless she decides to put love first.

I have always loved this authors books, the stories are always heartwarming, gives new hope and simply shines like bright stars breaking through the clouds on a late stormy evening ! This read was no different , it had all of that going for it and more.

In this read it is not only Lilly that finds that new zest and hope for life nor is it only Gunnar, the whole charming and absolutely captivating town of Heartlandia finds new hope.

The fun part about this read was definitely the secret and mystery of the town, I found myself ready to climb inside the pages and dig just as hard and deep as Lilly to get to the heart of the secret and just why the town 's people are so determined to hide it.

All the characters in this read were simply marvelous, intriguing, and so realistic that they were all so much more than just characters, they were more like real everyday people I come across , the author brought them all to life with vivid clarity !

I am taking away a message of life is a challenge , with everything we do, but when we become the challenge instead of the real person we are inside, then it's not a challenge anymore, it's more of a thing we have become and thus we are pretty much no longer human. We push and push to reach the end of it all and along the way we are simply just little specs of dust that use to be, one needs to always remember what life is truly about or those who are or become important to us will merely see us a here today gone tomorrow. And no one wants to be remembered as simply just that.

I recommend this read for fans that adore romance reads with loads of lovely twists and turns , mystery and just plain crazy falling in love fun. Well done Lynne, keep them coming!

Dr Kent Larson's number one priority in life is caring for his son, and never ever will he allow is son to be hurt again but the departure of a woman in his life. Been there, done it all, got the hurt -t-shirt to prove it. But his feelings towards Desdemona are ones he simply cannot control. All he has to do is show her that staying with them is where she's meant to be.

This was such a wonderful, kind, caring and totally sweet read about two people who have both been hurt and are seeking healing. They find it in each other's arms, but as in real life not everything is a simple as it seems.

Desdemona understandably wants answers to her past, as I am sure if we don't know what or where the links are to our past, we would all grab at any and every chance we get to dig as deep as possible. Everyone deserves to know. So I could fully understand the author letting the character have this overwhelming need to keep moving.

The character of oh so very sexy Dr Kent Larson was such a sweetheart of a man ,who really did not deserve any of hurt he has been through and continues to go through once Desdemona steps in to his live. I felt his pain over and over again as the author weaved him in to a man who is cautious because of his past but at the same time really wants that happy ever after so badly he can taste it.

I am taking away a message of life has a way to steer us towards the directions and places we think we are meant to be at, but when we get there and we hit roadblocks that seem to be able to hold us back, don't go running at the first opportunity. Just maybe it is the time to take a closer look at the roadblock. It might seem like a hurdle you don't need but what if it is exactly what you need to find peace? Always see things from someone else's perspective, don't just keep staring on your own road, take that turn-off every now and then, it might just lead to something far better that what you have been searching for.

200 Harley Street: American Surgeon in London by Lynne Marshall

Reviewed by Desere

Lynne Marshall is one of those authors that has always been able to truly speak to me through her books. She takes ordinary everyday stories of romance and turns them in to the extraordinary!

In her latest read we meet Micthell Cooper, once he had it all, a beautiful wife, adorable daughter and a high class living it up Hollywood career, then reality came crashing through the golden doors and he moved to London with his little girl to try and rebuild their lives.

He meets fellow surgeon Grace and after one magical night together he falls for her hook line and sinker, only Grace hides a painful secret and she is in no way ready to reveal the scars. But Michell has his heart set on winning over the one and only woman that has given him a reason to live again, and there is no stopping until he wins her over.

The characters in this read were so powerful they captured my attention from start to finish. From the first introductions I was completely obsessed with them all, I craved the insight into their minds, aches and hurts so badly, and knowing this author has the ability to give it all with amazing flair I knew all I had to do was keep reading and I would walk away with everything I craved.

I not only walked away with it all I got so much more, a stunning blossoming romance, a message so powerful it will forever remain with me and the magic of being blessed enough to have this author's books in my life!

Through the character of Michell I learned that when life gets you down and all that you had seems lost to the perfect existence you carved out for yourself it really is not the end of the world, it is simply a chance to rebuild your life into something more spectacular then what you had. It might seem that everything you had was perfect but when you look back you will see it was simply a mirage of perfection, the true life of wonder lies in the secret of knowing when you find the true perfect things in life.

Through the character of Grace I learned that hiding our scars will only make the hurt fester into something that we will never get away from. Stand up and face it head on, it will be hard and for most it will take years to see that just being you with scars and all is not all that bad, somewhere out there is someone that is going to accept you for you.  And just because you are able to heal other's problems but not your own , does not mean you are damaged or a failure, it just means that just like those you help you also require the help of others to help you through a problem.

I am taking away a message of everything in life happens for a reason, bad or good it is all part of the plan to shape us in to the people we need to be.

I highly recommend this read for all fans of romance reads, it was passionate, heartfelt and so wonderfully emotional it will remain with me for all my life!

200 Harley Street: AMERICAN SURGEON IN LONDON by author Lynne Marshall is a Harlequin Medical series release for May 2014.

Grace Turner moves to London to get away from some bad memories. Another American at the clinic, Mitchell Turner meets Grace by chance and they spend a lovely evening together.

When they discover that they will be working together, they decide to keep their relationship professional. Yet could they forget the lovely evening they had together? Mitchell and Grace were not after a relationship after all, were they?

200 Harley Street: AMERICAN SURGEON IN LONDON moved me to tears many times. It is a full on emotional drama. Author Lynne Marshall brought genuine emotions and this tale shimmers with emotion and has a lovely romance.

Highly recommended for all lovers of romance.
