Locking down the Hero's computer systems to help negotiate her path away from deportation and to secure her future doesn't exactly go to plan.

A super interesting Heroine called Luli, who has phenomenal computer skills is a winning character for me.  What I loved about this story was the unique plot line, the super clever heroine and the wonderful descriptions which paint the picture of a girl in a world she knows nothing about and everything is full of culture shock and change.  It's almost like I was experiencing Luli's new world with her.

I thought the story flowed nicely and the touches of ultra richness were nicely placed through the story and the only thing we're limited by is our imagination.  There was only one thing I'd do differently if I was even half as skilled as writing as Dani, and that's maybe make Luli slightly older.

Wonderful read, wonderful story and characters and super, super wonderful cover.

Thank you Dani Collins.

UNTOUCHED UNTIL HER ULTRA-RICH HUSBAND by author Dani Collins is a June 2019 release by Harlequin Presents series.

Gabriel Dean, a billionaire tycoon, finds out his grandmother has died. He had no contact with her. So he didn’t know how she conducted her business. But he inherited her millions. But on arriving at her mansion in Singapore, he finds out her assistant, Luli, has locked her millions with custom coded software. He finds himself intrigued and infuriated by her in equal measures.

Who was she who could break into the high-level coding he provided to clients from his software company? How could she break the highly sophisticated codes? And what did she want in return?

UNTOUCHED UNTIL HER ULTRA-RICH HUSBAND is an intriguing romance. The prickly dialogue Luli used to hide behind is fun to read and all our sympathies go to her, yet she is not a weak girl. She manages to bring Gabriel to heel. Author Dani Collins brought this story to live on the pages where a reader would sympathize with Luli and Gabriel yet root for them too. They both have to come out from their past issues and forge ahead. And a reader would stay stuck to the pages till the end trying to guess and ultimately find out how it all ends.

Highly recommended for all readers of romance.

This story really hit the spot for sensual romance in the Presents/Modern line, we have a multi-billionaire hero and a virgin heroine both with pasts that they need to work on, hero Gabriel Dean is certain he will never love and heroine Luli Cruz wants love and to be independent, will these two find what they want, will Luli convince Gabriel that love is what he needs?

Gabriel is altered to his grandmothers passing by a text message, they were never close, but he moves fast to reach Singapore ASAP, to discover that he is her heir and that the text was sent by his grandmother’s assistant a beautiful young lady, but then he discovers that she has made sure that he will not be able to get his inheritance until her needs are met. Instantly the sparks fly and the outcome is marriage.

Luli arrived in Singapore at the age of fourteen, she is now twenty two and has never been independent, she has worked hard for Mae and been cared for better than her own mother did but freedom she has never had. Now Mae has gone it is her chance to gain what she wants from Mae’s grandson but marrying into such wealth was not what she planned, but there is a pull towards Gabriel that she cannot deny for long.

This is a sensual story with fabulous banter as Luli stands up to Gabriel in so many ways proving how strong she is after what she has been through, Gabriel finds Luli open and honest and that is one of the things that makes him fall for her, and of course her beauty and sensual pull but when he realizes he is in love with her it is magical, Gabriel and Luli are a match made in heaven. I loved this one and can highly recommend it.

A fantastic debut which I really enjoyed.

It was different in a good way and i really liked the build up, plot and back-story. The cover is devine and I adore second chance stories and I think Pippa did a fab job in this element.

I wish Pippa the bestest of luck with her release and a wonderful and long career. Looking forward to the next story.

Odir Faouk is about to become king and has a problem, he needs a wife by his side. No problem he has a wife but she left him and he needs to get her back. This is a debut book by Pippa Roscoe and after reading you will put her on your follow list. She has put these two people together again and written a story that takes place over 2 days and what an amazing two days they are . Eloise is feisty and Odir is determined and together you get an amazing story that you won't want to end, but end it does with a super lovely Epilogue. Loved this story and can't wait for her next.

A royal reunion! With her debut Harlequin Presents novel, Pippa Roscoe takes us deep into the heart of a potential royal disaster ... and the drama does NOT disappoint! Her characters have a richness to them that even though they are attempting to hold themselves aloof from their feelings, have the ability to show their tender side with each other, even when they may not want to. The plot is fast paced and attention grabbing from the start. I deem it a big success and look forward to watching her voice shine in future books!

Odir Farouk is hours away from being crowned King but needs his estranged wife by his side. Though their marriage was arranged, it had potential to become something special until he decided to guard his heart and treat her indifferently.

Eloise gave their marriage her best shot, but she couldn't stand being shoved to the wayside and forgotten day after day after day. He couldn't have made it more clear that he didn't even want to spend time with her, much less share his life. When he needs her by his side for the good of his country, she'll make a few demands of her own this time!

This is a fabulous debut, fast paced, sensual, a marriage that ended before it started, a marriage where the heroine was pushed into it by a domineering father and the hero who wanted what was best for his country get yourself comfortable because you are not going to want to put this one down.

Odir Farouk Al Arkrim is prince of Farrehed and his brother had had a great childhood that is until they lost their mother and their father lost his senses he was so in love with his wife that when she was gone he caused a lot of problems with his country. Odir is never going to do that he has seen what love can do, so when he marries beautiful British Eloise although they met and have been friends before the engagement, he cannot afford to be distracted by her in anyway and when he abandons her on their wedding night and then finds her in a compromising situation and sends her away he keeps doing what he must. But now he needs her back after six months apart.

Eloise has grown up as an ambassador’s daughter travelling the world with her parents you would think that her life would have been fantastic but think again she never got the love that children need her father is overbearing and when he wants something he is happy to blackmail his daughter to get her to marry Odir. Eloise agrees and she likes Odir he is easy to get along with at the beginning but things change very quickly when they marry.

After spending six months apart Eloise has learnt a lot and is a much stronger person so when she is invited to attend an event by Odir she goes but to ask for a divorce, things have changed in her life but they have also changed for Odir he is about to become King and to do that properly he needs his Queen beside him. The sensual spark the push and pull between these two could light up London there are a lot of secrets that have been kept and until both open up their lives cannot go forward. I really felt for both Odir and Eloise and what they had been through Eloise is so strong and caring as is Odir in his own way it took him a bit of time to learn that he could love and when he did, together they became one and love flourished. Congrats on a fabulous debut MS Roscoe I look forward to many more from you and this is one that I highly recommend.

ecret Dreams Book 2 can be read on its own or enjoyed along with book 1 which introduced our Hero L.C.

I wish when I said this story was amazing it conveyed how much I love Dani Collin's writing style. Original, thoroughly enjoyable, humorous and witty in all the right places, coupled with fantastic dialogue and characters you can really relate to and who are quite realistic and bought to life with the magic of words!

Mercedes was matched perfectly with L.C and the plot was interesting and I enjoyed it quite like I would a chick-lit because again there's the freedom for the author to develop the characters more and more time can be spent padding everything out that what one can do in a Harlequin.

Very much enjoyed!

There are some days when reading a book feels like a chore and there are some days when the story whisks you away and you are lost to reality. This book did that to me. I read it in one sitting and was so sad to let the characters go in the end. Nevertheless, Dani Collins breathed heart, humor and life into this story: Only in His Sweetest Dreams. She gave her characters wings and boy did they soar! Overall, this is a passionate rendition of heartbreak mended with love…little by little.

Such a great story!! I so want more! How about another book or two? I could really enjoy seeing Mercerdes & L.C. again ... maybe in Zack's story ... and Porsha's story??? :) I adored seeing them overcome their past to actually get a life they deserved!

When Mercedes Kimball's sister decides to take a "vacation" from her kids, she's left with no option but to take them in and make her life work around them. It might end up getting her fired from her job at the retirement community that she loves, but she can't just stand by and watch while these kids are neglected!

L.C. Fogarty winds up crossing paths with Mercedes through happenstance, and the red-hot attraction they both feel instantly is not easy to ignore! He takes the job of a temporary handyman, and they become friends. He doesn't think he's worth much in life, but she seems to take some comfort from bouncing problems off of him and getting his opinion, so he's happy to help her if he can.

Mercedes might lose her ready-made family any day if her sister comes back, but L.C. enjoys sharing times with them more than he wants to deal with his own family issues. As they grow closer and secrets from his past come out, will she want to have anything more to do with him?

Mercedes Kimball loves her niece and nephew. Mercedes was told she could never have children so when she realizes that her sister Porsha took off once again and leaves the kids with their mom who could not take care of them Mercedes finds that she must go get them.
Mercedes is manager for the Coconino Vista which is a retirement apartment community.
Mercedes had just settled the kids down when she gets a call from the complex, someone boys had broken into the one empty unit and could have done more damage. So Mercedes does the only thing she can do is to return to her job with her sister’s kids along. Poor Ayjia who is 5 does not understand why her mom is not around and the same for 6 year old Dayton. Mercedes has no other choice but to take the kids out of school and take them back to her apartment at the complex.
The boys that broke into the complex are 3 college students. Of the 3 boys they only one that fights to not be expelled is Zack and needs to put in so many hours of help fixing the damage.
In book 1 we were introduced to Zack’s dad, Lyle (LC) Fogarty.
LC has not had the greatest life and really had bad luck.
Mercedes decides to become her sister’s kid’s guardian and she seems to struggle hard to work things out with them and with her job.
Dani Collins gave us yet another love story between two people both with their share of problems. Read it you will not be disappointed

Only In His Sweetest Dreams by Dani Collins is a refreshingly original story about a very flawed hero, LC Fogarty and an equally dented heroine, Mercedes Kimball. The writing style is amazing! I love the fact that the characters are flawed, have massive chips on their shoulders and yet they are both intensely caring and extremely lovable.

We are introduced to the hero, Lyle (LC) Fogarty, in book one Not In Her Wildest Dreams but the two books are complete stories by themselves without any cliff-hangers. LC has had really bad luck in life and he escaped his home town Liebe Falls to get away from it all and to start fresh. Mercedes also had to face very difficult decisions regarding her sister’s abandoned children and how to care for them. The last thing she wanted was to get involved with a troublemaker like LC, but she just couldn’t resist him for long! Turns out there is much more to LC than anyone thought.

Dani Collins delivered a fantastic story with this one. This is a must read and I recommend it to all romance lovers. Can’t wait to read more of her stories.

"Only In His Sweetest Dreams (Sweet Dreams Book 2)" by Dani Collins is a wonderful continuation from the first book in this series. We first met LC, Lyle, Fogarty in the 1st series and we know he is Zach's father. This is important to the story because in this book Zach is caught with a couple of other college students breaking into a retirement apartment community. He was kind of in the wrong place at the wrong time. We meet Mercedes Kimball who is watching over her niece and nephew because her sister took off on the kids yet again. Mercedes is in charge at the complex. There is so many interesting things that happen in this book that it is hard not to give most of it away. You don't have to read the first book "Not In Her Wildest Dreams" by Ms. Collins but I highly recommend it since we are introduced to LC and his son in the prior book. It will give you an more in depth look at their life.

Dani Collins has written another excellent story that is the second book in a series but can be read alone.  She gives us  lovely Mercedes who is a reliable hard working women.  Her strength is put to the test when she has to take care of her niece and nephew when her alcoholic sister abandons them.  She endures so much as she tries to give a good home to the children and help them overcome the fact that their mother walked out on them.  Trying to hold it together the last thing she needs is to meet LC who is an alcoholic although he is trying to fight the demons.  When he meets Mercedes he finds a reason to change and be everything that she deserves.  A wonderful story that gives you a few smiles some tears but also lovely in that two people can find common ground to help each other and find the love they both deserve.  A keeper.

A drama-filled reunion story brings together two people who never got a real chance to be together because of teenage angst and misunderstandings. We see them try to overcome their bitterness with each other and slowly start to open their eyes to what really happened and to what degree the other was really at fault. A solid story with perhaps a few too many secondary characters to keep track of, but a pleasing conclusion and I look forward to reading the second in the series!

Fifteen years after being run out of her home town in humiliation, Paige Fogarty is back! Unfortunately, so is the town's golden boy who caused the bad reputation she was given. She's stuck tolerating him for however long it takes to do an audit of the books in the business their father's run together ... then she's out of here!

Sterling Roy still holds a grudge against Paige and her family as well, but as they are forced in close proximity time and again, he starts to see that things might have happened differently than he thought. Just as he's about to move forward, he realizes she's protecting an embezzler!

Will they be able to get all the secrets uncovered and find a happily-ever-after, or will past deeds be unable to be overcome?

Two teenagers, small town talk, secrets and heartaches!
Paige Fogarty and Sterling Roy knew each other all their lives. There was thing stigma associated with the Fogarty name that Paige expected she could never live down.
Sterling was known as the Golden Boy whose parents ran Roy Furnishing in Liebe Falls.
Paige was brought back home as her father had another heart attack and since they wanted him to sell his share of Roy’s Furnishings she comes and decides that the store undergo an audit and she is pressed into doing the audit.
Sterling has come back home after the insistence by his mother to return and protect his legacy. Sterling’s father is going to try to become the mayor of Liebe Falls.
Paige and Sterling had an encounter back in high school when Paige’s brother Lyle set them up and it did not end well. Paige’s father found them and he proceeded to set Sterling straight and away from Paige.
With both back in town and both now working closely together sparks still fly between them. It does not help that Paige is living back at home and that Sterling is living in his family home that is right behind hers on the next block over. So when one looks out a window they can see the other home.
This book is so full of mystery, affairs, secrets, embezzlement, and much more. You will enjoy it and Dani Collins deserves more than 5 stars.

"Not In Her Widlest Dreams (Secret Dreams Book 1)" By Dani Collins was a wonderful read. I enjoyed Paige Fogarty and Sterling Roy's story. Paige returns to Liebe Falls to help her father after he had a heart attack. She took on the responsibility of his part in a local furniture company and as an accountant takes a look at the books to make sure that everything is in order for her family to sell the company back to the Roy family. Sterling is home because his family wants him to take over the family business, and to make sure the 'rotten' Fogarty family doesn't take advantage of the company. Paige returns to a tattered reputation which is unwarranted, and to the feelings she had for her one time boyfriend Sterling. Things have a way of coming out and some things are not what they seem. Interested? You need to read this book!

Now, 15 years after a misunderstanding drives them apart, Paige and Sterling must set aside their differences and work together to save their fathers’ company Roy Furnishings.

Hold Me Cowboy by Maisey Yates - Cooper Ridge: Desire #2

Review by TashNz
4.5 Stars

I really liked the beginning of the story, what a fantastic concept and I loved how I gelled with the two characters instantly.  Agreeing to 12 days together with no strings attached i thought Sam and Madison had a fantastic journey together and it was really enjoyable watching them travel the rocky path of love.

I liked Sam and Madison had irritably danced around each other for so long when ever their paths crossed, i thought the author did a fantastic job capturing that, setting the scene bringing them together.  I liked their back stories and how both had made their own stories to be part of who their character was and I liked how the author got each character to believe in the other and see the best in the other despite their own view of the world.

Another reason I enjoy Maisey's writing is becasue she's fantastic at capturing emotion and when Sam told Madison he didn't love her, my heart literally dropped - because the scene was set up so well.

I found Hold Me, Cowboy to be a lovely Christmas themed read which didn't have a wasted word or conversation, it was filled with just the right amount of everything one needs in a good book.  This book is my second visit to Cooper Ridge and I will visiting more often for sure!

Di Sione's Virgin Mistress by Sharon Kendrick - The Billionaire's Legacy #5

REVIEW BY TashNZ
4.5 stars

I really enjoyed this installment of the Di Sione clan because it was quite moving, dramatic, fun and had characters that I continued to learn about as the story evolved.

Dante is Dario's twin brother in #4 and I liked how the hints of his personality in book 4 shone through to his own story. The authors have done a fantastic job of connecting the characters. For example, the meeting of the twins that took place in 4 occurred in 5 and you get to see the other side of the coin and the conversation between Willow and Dante's sister who is in Book 6 is also in both books.

We meet Dante as he is returning from a trip around the world hunting out his piece for his grandfather, a Tiara. Willow is his heroine. I loved the beginning, how they met and the banter and then what transpired to set off the chain of events for Willow and Dante.

I really liked how Dante and Dario met up to talk (if you read Dario's story you will know what I mean) and I like how the scene was set for Kate Hewitt's fantastic story. I loved that Dante's character shone thru to match how I pictured him in his twins story and I thought Willows story was unique. She was a lovely character and I'm happy she's the one for Dante, it was like she was the calm and he was the storm.

A really really good story which I thought had traditional M&B feels, which I loved, ie, the story evolved; everything didn't happen over the space of a day, I just really liked how it each kind of instalment of their chain of events seamlessly flowed.

Thank you Netgalley, for the opportunity to share my personal opinion, I thoughly enjoyed. 4.5 stars from me.

Another great story in this series and one that had me turning the pages and sighing as Dante and Willow journey to such a great HEA one that has a few ups and downs but is just so very sensual.

Dante Di Sione has been hurt and shows no emotion getting involved with him he thinks would be just for sex but when he meets and is so drawn to the shy Willow and there is a mix up with bags and a bit of blackmail is involved he is struck by feelings and emotions that he thought never to have as he gets closer to the one person that can make him open up.

Willow has been cosseted all of her life but it is time for her to open up to enjoy life to do the things that she sees her siblings do so when she meets Dante at the airport she decides that this is the time to do so and the strength that she shows is fabulous but she is such a caring person and when she gives Dante her precious gift and they end up in a fake engagement life as she knows it is about to change.

I do highly recommend this instalment in this series Dante and Willow are made for each other the sensual spark between them sets the pages alight it is a moving emotional and beautiful story that I did not want to put down and I look forward to the next one I am loving this family and their journeys and learning more about the lost mistress's.

This is such a good story moving and emotional as MS Marshall Takes on a subject that can be controversial and she has done this so well truly this is a story that had me turning the pages.

We meet Pathologist Charlotte Johnson she is very pretty she is a caring and hard working person she is also single and aims to stay that way after her fiancĂ© walked out on her after she had an operation that she had thought a lot about and decided that it was the best thing to save her life but it is also a major life changing operation but Charlotte is positive, you see she lost her Mum when she was young to breast cancer and that pushed her into the job that she loves and her decision. But when she meets Dr Jackson Hilstead Charlotte’s life is about to change and in such a beautiful way.

Dr Jackson Hilstead has moved to California left everything behind in Charlestown to start a new life divorced and getting over PTSD after being badly injured in Afghanistan Jackson has a prosthesis and the couple of woman he has gotten close to since moving shy away and with two sons already children and marriage is not what he wants but he is drawn to the beautiful pathologist Charlotte this could be what he needs to bring out the best in him again and make him happy.

This really is a must read story it is beautifully written the caring and loving Charlotte and Jackson are so drawn to each other but with scares from their past it takes a bit of time for them to take the plunge to find true love. Charlotte’s decision to have the surgery is handled so well I shed some tears but was smiling throughout this one, the scenery is fabulous as well. I highly recommend this story I loved it. It is part of a small series Sumer Brides but can be read as a standalone but I am looking forward to the other one in this series.

I've just recently said that Lynne Marshall writes stories that are not always the norm for this type of genre and I feel she approaches her stories with such a solid depth that you always have a big sigh at the end of the story.

A GOOD big sigh, especially for Wedding Date with the Army Doc; it represents the emotion of the journey taken on as a reader; it represents the tears that may have been quietly shed during the book, either because things written you can relate to or just because you're all caught up in what you're reading; it represents the happiness of the two characters, in this case Jackson and Charlotte, who achieving their happy ever after and it represents true appreciation of the hard work it must have been to write such an emotional story with a double whammy of heartbreaking topics.

Both topics are approached with caring and sensitivity as well as boldness and I loved how both Jackson and Charlotte got to know each other and liked how the inevitable was handled. I applaud the story and the choice to write about such topics.

I recommend this story if you are looking for something special.

I am never disappointed when I pick up a Lynne Marshall medical romance. Ms. Marshall tends to bring out the best in her characters by delving deep into their pasts, torturing them with the demons they’ve locked away in their dark forbidden closets. In Wedding Date with the Army Doc we meet Charlotte Johnson, a woman who knows pain from the inside out. She has put dating on hold after her surgery. However, when Dr. Jackson Hilstead walks into her life, Charlotte couldn’t help but register the butterflies in her stomach. Could she start dating again if it involves the hot doctor? Jackson is sexy and brilliant at his job but beneath his outward charm is a man who life has beaten and bruised over the years. And Charlotte may very well be the balm Jackson needs to heal his broken soul. Overall, I think Ms. Marshall has done a fine job bringing together Jackson and Charlotte. These two characters compliment each other. They bring out each other’s best qualities. And their journey through the ups and downs makes this book a worthy read.

This book about imperfectly perfect people by Lynne Marshall is all about how life does not stop when tragedies happen. The story talks about the idea that people are beautiful and whole even when a body part is missing because a body part does not a person make.

I'd have rated it a 5 on 5 if not for the fact that both of them had body image issues. Both had some part missing. It felt as if they understood each other because they have been through the same (albeit differently) process of losing something of themselves.

It would have packed more of a punch if one of them did not loose a body part and still understood what the other went through.

Thus, making it a 4.5 for me

"Wedding Date With The Army Doc (Mills & Boon Medical)" by Lynne Marshall is part of the series 'Summer Brides' but it also a read alone book. In this story we have Charlotte Johnson, who has overcome an operation, and Jackson Hilstead who is drop dead gorgeous. He invites her to a family wedding and that just gets Charlotte to thinking about the future. The only problem is that Jackson needs to concur his past in order to move to the future. It's a great, quick read.

Whenever I pick up a Lynne Marshall book I know I will enjoy. This is a must read for sure.
Charlotte Johnson is a pathologist and had an operation that left her feeling different about herself. She had both breast removed and her fiancĂ© could not deal with that. So she has been very leery of any man as she feels that she is not whole. She did it to prevent cancer and yet now she wonders.
Dr. Jackson Hilstead moved to California leaving everything behind. He was injured in Afghanistan and suffered from PTSD. He wears a prosthesis which turns most women off.
However, he finds Charlotte and realizes she has lost a part of her body so she might understand him better than anyone else. Plus, he would understand her also. They move slow and steady.
Body parts missing does not mean no love, hope you will enjoy as I did.

Charlotte Johnson spends her life in her pathology lab living the life she feels she wants. She has decided that there is no HEA for her and there will be no husband or children in her future. Enter Jackson Hilstead a surgeon in her hospital and someone she really has feelings for, feelings that she thought she put away forever. Take these two people with secrets of their own and put them together and find out that plans sometimes go astray which will when Jackson asks Charlotte to go to a family wedding with him. Charlotte had made a lifesaving decision she must live with and Jackson has a medical secret also. Both find out that love doesn't change for a medical issue. Ms. Marshall always writes such lovely stories and this is an example. She puts two people feeling they will go the rest of their life alone in touch with each other enough that nothing can stop the course of love

I love a book that pulls at my heart strings and makes me feel lots of emotions and this is a book that does just that beautifully written this story had me turning the pages as Nate and Violet take a journey that is filled with worry doubts and yes a pull that had been around for many years.

Lady Violet Dempsey arrives back to her aristocratic home in Northern Ireland when her father has a heart attack Violet ran away seventeen years ago after she lost her mother in tragic circumstances and she left on bad terms with her father and left the one person that she could depend on the one person that she should be able to love the hired helps son Nathaniel Taylor. There is a lot of water under the bridge since then Violet lives in London and works as mental health nurse and still carries a lot of hurt from her past will this change with being home.

Nathaniel Taylor has done well for himself he is now a top cardiologist working at the hospital in County Down not the boy next door anymore still single because he has no plans to settle down and marry the one person he thought that he could marry left him years ago he felt spurned and it has left him hurt so when that person Violet arrives at the hospital where he is treating her father the sparks are still there can they make amends for past hurts?

Truly this is a book you will not want to put down the sensual pull between Nate and Violet burns up the pages and the pain from the past is so emotional both are determined never to marry, throw into the mix her abrupt father and his health and problems and this one becomes a roller coaster ride to such a wonderful HEA I cried I smiled and then the sigh as they join together with the help and love from Lord Dempsey. Thanks you MS Baine for another keeper you never disappoint this is one I highly recommend.

5/5 stars fro a fabulous story

A story that makes dinner late.

Violet and Nate were childhood best friends who's teenage friendship grew into more.  Their parents would never have approved.  Her being the daughter of an Earl and him being the son of her father's cleaner!  Years and years later, already in shock about her fathers heart attack, Violet is even more shocked to find Nate her father's chief Cardiologist.

It's clear from the get go Violet and Nate have unresolved issues but coming home for the first time in a long time Lady Violet also needs to resolve her issues with her father and what became of life after the death of her Mother.  Inspired into nursing after the death of her mother Violet has spent her adult life avoiding her life at home and now she's back there's no avoiding it.

Unfortunately her Father has let his health, his home and his financial status crumble and it's up to Violet to try and figure out how to fix things as well as deal with her father who's awesome at acting like a two year old and also deal with the realisation her feelings for Nate are still as real today as they were long ago.

Two characters whose chemistry is as clear as the words on paper, The Doctor's Forbidden Fling had me curled up and reluctant to get up and go about my day.  I really liked the storyline, the interaction between Nate and Violet and their background story that helped shape them into adults.  Violet is a likeable heroine who had the desire and drive to go out and be somebody, not live off her family's money.  Nate is an engaging and determined young man who also had the desire and drive to go out and be somebody.  Both have never forgotten each other and how important they were to each other in their childhoods and all of this coupled with Karin Baine's detailed writing, wit and humour makes a fantastic read.

"The Doctor's Forbidden Fling" by Karen Baine is listed as a medical romance but it is classic romance all the way. I loved this story. Lady Violet Dempsey returns home because her father suffered a heart attack. She runs into Dr. Nathaniel Taylor (Nate) who was her friend that she left behind. Nate went from being the son of one of the servants in Violet's family to a top cardiologist. After spending some time together they find that love is deeper than they thought, and a new surprise is on the way.

A modern day Romance with the upper crust of British elite slumming.

No, I do not mean that if you do not have a title you are good for nothing. After all I come from a place where there is no monarchy.

Back to the story, Nate believes (quite rightly) that to Violet he means nothing but the guy she friendzoned years ago when he expressed his love. The man may have been about town but the pain is as fresh.

Violet, on the other hand, don't want entanglements in her life. She wants her freedom.

Both of them running away from commitment for different reasons.

What really got to me about the characters is how they understood each other. An ever present connection that could not be severed with years and distance. Social status be damned, they are on equal footing as their heart beats together.

Once I started reading, just could not put it down and had to finish it (and hoping it won't end). And in one night I read the last word.

Violet Dempsey has to come home as her father is in hospital with a heart attack. Violet and Nate Taylor have a past history but she has no idea she will run into him. When the room door opens and she sees him after all these years she feels he heard about her father however the last things she expects is to find out he is her fathers cardiologist. Nate is cynical and part of it is because he feels Violet left since he was the son of her family's servants. One of the reasons he accomplished what he did. Spending time together as he try's to help her fix the financial situation her father is in they start to rekindle old feelings. This brings them together and since she thought she was protected, forgetting she didn't take her pill one day, finds she is carrying his child. She refuses to go into a loveless marriage and Nate is not of believer of HEA. Read this lovely story Ms. Baine wrote to find out how these two people bridge the distance and misunderstanding to get the happy ever after Nate doesn't believe in. Her story will keep you engrossed from the first page and you will anxiously await the conclusion. A wonderful author you will follow as I will.

A sexy doctor reunites with his childhood best friend/crush and sparks ignite! A fun take on "the help falling for the royal" grabs our attention and takes us on a journey of redemption and everlasting love.

When Violet Dempsey is called home due to family illness, she makes the trek back to the royal life she left a dozen years ago. Upon arriving, she runs into the boy she left behind all those years ago.

Cardiologist Nate Taylor never knew why Violet left, but it turned him cynical about love and thoughts of happily ever after when she basically threw his feelings back in his face by walking away without a word. He's risen above his upbringing as the son of the servants, and has done well for himself.

Fighting their attraction doesn't work very well for the two of them, and when they discover they have a little surprise on the way, how will they decide to deal with it? Will she decide to run for the hills again or will he convince her she's worthy of the love he has always had for her?

Violet Dempsey left her home years ago. She left her friend Nate Taylor then too.

Violet got a call that her dad had a heart attack. She came back and went to the hospital to see him. Nate was now a cardiologist at that hospital and was actually the attending doctor to her father.

Violet and Nate did spend time together during the time that her father was in the hospital, then he came back home after rejecting more care and within 24 hours of being released he was back in the hospital with another heart attack and this time a different thoughts about getting more to the bottom of the heart condition and grieve of his wife having died.

During his stay Violet and Nate spent time together and within weeks she found that she was carrying his child. They had been careful and she was on the pill but missed one the first night when she got into town. Now they would be a family of three if Violet would accept it. Her thought process of love and happy endings was pretty tainted and she had to change her thoughts, but Nate never revealed to her that he loved her. She could not enter a loveless marriage.

Karin Baine always writes such and great story and one that keeps you reading and waiting on anxious pins and needles as to what will happen. Enjoy the book as I know I did.
