Locking down the Hero's computer systems to help negotiate her path away from deportation and to secure her future doesn't exactly go to plan.

A super interesting Heroine called Luli, who has phenomenal computer skills is a winning character for me.  What I loved about this story was the unique plot line, the super clever heroine and the wonderful descriptions which paint the picture of a girl in a world she knows nothing about and everything is full of culture shock and change.  It's almost like I was experiencing Luli's new world with her.

I thought the story flowed nicely and the touches of ultra richness were nicely placed through the story and the only thing we're limited by is our imagination.  There was only one thing I'd do differently if I was even half as skilled as writing as Dani, and that's maybe make Luli slightly older.

Wonderful read, wonderful story and characters and super, super wonderful cover.

Thank you Dani Collins.

UNTOUCHED UNTIL HER ULTRA-RICH HUSBAND by author Dani Collins is a June 2019 release by Harlequin Presents series.

Gabriel Dean, a billionaire tycoon, finds out his grandmother has died. He had no contact with her. So he didn’t know how she conducted her business. But he inherited her millions. But on arriving at her mansion in Singapore, he finds out her assistant, Luli, has locked her millions with custom coded software. He finds himself intrigued and infuriated by her in equal measures.

Who was she who could break into the high-level coding he provided to clients from his software company? How could she break the highly sophisticated codes? And what did she want in return?

UNTOUCHED UNTIL HER ULTRA-RICH HUSBAND is an intriguing romance. The prickly dialogue Luli used to hide behind is fun to read and all our sympathies go to her, yet she is not a weak girl. She manages to bring Gabriel to heel. Author Dani Collins brought this story to live on the pages where a reader would sympathize with Luli and Gabriel yet root for them too. They both have to come out from their past issues and forge ahead. And a reader would stay stuck to the pages till the end trying to guess and ultimately find out how it all ends.

Highly recommended for all readers of romance.

This story really hit the spot for sensual romance in the Presents/Modern line, we have a multi-billionaire hero and a virgin heroine both with pasts that they need to work on, hero Gabriel Dean is certain he will never love and heroine Luli Cruz wants love and to be independent, will these two find what they want, will Luli convince Gabriel that love is what he needs?

Gabriel is altered to his grandmothers passing by a text message, they were never close, but he moves fast to reach Singapore ASAP, to discover that he is her heir and that the text was sent by his grandmother’s assistant a beautiful young lady, but then he discovers that she has made sure that he will not be able to get his inheritance until her needs are met. Instantly the sparks fly and the outcome is marriage.

Luli arrived in Singapore at the age of fourteen, she is now twenty two and has never been independent, she has worked hard for Mae and been cared for better than her own mother did but freedom she has never had. Now Mae has gone it is her chance to gain what she wants from Mae’s grandson but marrying into such wealth was not what she planned, but there is a pull towards Gabriel that she cannot deny for long.

This is a sensual story with fabulous banter as Luli stands up to Gabriel in so many ways proving how strong she is after what she has been through, Gabriel finds Luli open and honest and that is one of the things that makes him fall for her, and of course her beauty and sensual pull but when he realizes he is in love with her it is magical, Gabriel and Luli are a match made in heaven. I loved this one and can highly recommend it.

Jennifer Hayward’s writing is exceptional. She nails emotion and always makes you feel like if this was the last book you’d ever read, that would be ok. Commencing the story is always great, a middle part always capturing and the finale is always wrapped up in a non rushed satisfying manner.

I loved the coffee shop chat and how it was central to the characters twice. I loved the dramatic business side of things and I loved the friendship that had been built up over the year. The 10 days in Milan was an exciting background and the sports side was central in an exciting way. Dramatic ex’s and backstory which warmed the heart.

Loved this story very much and highly recommend it.

This is the second book in this series and again MS Hayward has bought the characters to life on the pages, making them real people with real feelings and emotions, she brings out their strengths and insecurities and also took me on a fabulous trip from New York to gorgeous Milan and left this reader a very happy reader.

Lazzero Di Fiore runs a sports clothing and accessories company with his brother Santo, they have worked hard building this empire with passion and Lazzero will go to any lengths to make it bigger and when the opportunity arises for a chance to make it bigger he needs a fake fiancé to take to Milan with him, someone who understands that love and marriage are not what he wants that it will be a business deal only and who better than his favourite barista.

Chiara Ferrante is a barista a very good one, she works hard to help her father keep his bakery going and that is a struggle and she has been hurt badly before from one of “the suits” as she calls them men of money and top lifestyles, she is convinced she will never be part of that world, but when Lazzero makes an offer she can’t refuse that will help her father, she steps back into that world determined to keep her eyes wide open this time and her heart.

This story moves fast and is fabulous I just loved both Lazzero and Chiara a couple made in heaven as far as I am concerned, Chiara is strong and feisty but also vulnerable because of what she has been through and Lazzero what can I say I want him, he is so loving, thoughtful and shows such passion. This is a sensual moving story that should not be missed I highly recommend and I look forward to Santo’s story. MS Hayward knows how to make a reader feel part of the story thank you.

Colton and the Single Mom is book 4 of an exciting Harlequin Romantic Suspense series called The Coltons of Red Ridge.  Over 6 books we get to know the Colton's as they are faced with a variety of challenges which test them and also lead them to love.

Esmee is a true-crime film maker and trying to nail a story and the case of serial killer called the Bridegroom Killer.  The bad guy (or is it a "guy" in the true sense) has other thoughts and things don't go well.  Brayden Colton wants to stop Esmee interfering, worrying she'll uncover things best left alone.  He's also the only suspect's half brother - eeek!

What a wonderful adventure I was taken on, I need to read more Romantic Suspense stories and the more I read of the Colton's stories the more I want to read the rest.  I loved the interaction between Esmee and Brayden.  Esmee's son added to the story and I loved the well thought out plot along with more intrigue about the Colton's and their history which has been touched on previously.  I love the cover and I think Jane Godman did a fantastic job of holding my attention until the very last page.

A throughly enjoyable story with characters you want to know more and revisit. Loved it!

Single mum Esme has arrived in Red Ridge to do a story on the Groom Killer who has taken to murdering grooms before their wedding days, trying to get a story and interviewing people especially one cop Brayden is very difficult seeing as how his half-sister is the main suspect, but when she does meet him the sparks fly instant attraction and Esme and her son Rhys are both hooked, her heart melts with the way the Brayden and Rhys become close.

Brayden and his K-9 partner Echo are a solitary team Brayden has been hurt before and with everything that is going on in Red Ridge at the moment getting close to someone is not in his plans, but meeting Esme and her son cause sparks and emotions to run high and when they are in a dangerous situation nothing will stop him from protecting them, as they move in with him the heat gets higher as does the danger.

A story I read word for word, not skipping a single sentence or page and one which I was so caught up in I fell asleep with it in my hand well after midnight.

It was lovely to be back in Cedar River and I settled back to enjoy a lovely story but it wasn't just lovely, it was heart catching, dramatic, exciting and so wonderfully written I devoured every word!

Liam and Kayla are expecting a baby, we find that out in the first sentence! They are in love so all good there BUT their parents are in a family feud with each other for the past 30 years. They know this will not go down well and especially Kayla worries this will break her Daddys heart... imagine how they the parents and the small town will feel when their secret relationship can't be held secret any longer, let alone find out they are already married!

Liam's love shines through all the way and he won me over! 6 stars for me!

In this book Kayla Rickard and Liam O’Sullivan is secretly married. The older Rickard’s and O’Sullivan’s are arch enemies and it will break their hearts to find out that their children got married. Then Kayla discovered she is pregnant and their time is up to come clean about their relationship.

I really enjoyed the flow of the story, the way the characters developed and the easy writing style that Helen Lacey has. I recommend this book to any romance lover.

This is a fabulous story I savoured every word so much emotion and love coming from the beautifully written words. MS Lacey has penned a story that will stay with me for a long time it is set in a beautiful small town that we have gotten to know well in previous stories. This time we get hotelier Liam O’Sullivan and gorgeous Kayla Rickard’s story and we get to see what happens when love breaks down a family feud that has lasted for years.

When a car accident in the hotel car park shoots lightening sparks between Liam and Kayla well what can they do except enact on those sparks but keep their relationship a secret for the time being, Kayla is a loving only child and will not do anything to hurt her parents but when she falls head over heels for the guy she has been warned to stay away from all of her life well more than sparks are going to fly.

Liam has always been used to getting his own way as the eldest of the O’Sullivan boys he is now running the hotel and when cupid shoots her arrow and well Kayla is everything he wants in a woman, he cannot help falling in love, but their road to a HEA is a rocky one with stubborn wills getting in the way even after their secret wedding in Vegas and now with a baby on the way he needs to stand up and show that love.

Kayla and Liam’s secret is going to rock both families and the small town of Cedar River, so many emotions and hurts and headstrong people that think they know best will have you turning the pages to see what is going to happen next and how they fare. This one is sensual and very moving I did shed a few tears along the way and felt like yelling at a couple of people as well, but in the end I was smiling big time I loved this one and am very much looking forward to the next one in this series and going back to Cedar River. I do highly recommend this one.

A fun and easy read as Helen Lacey takes us on a journey of forbidden love, deception and finding peace. Guilt and duty are at the top of the list of what the heroine is feeling. She's difficult to like because she's not being fair to him at all, but you're still drawn to the story because he's such a nice guy that you're wanting a happy ending for. Lots of drama with well developed characters and story lines.

Kayla Rickard is in quite the predicament. Not only has she been having a fling with the son of her father's sworn enemy, but she secretly married him and they're now expecting a surprise baby! The last thing she wants to do is disappoint her parents, but it's not like this is the type of thing she can sweep under the rug.

Liam O'Sullivan wants his wife by his side. It feels empty in his house without her, but she still persists on staying at her apartment too much and refuses to tell their families about them. Now that she's pregnant, she has to see that it's way past time. He'll do anything to be able to share his life in the open with her ... even try to figure out what caused the feud that made their formerly friendly fathers begin to hate each other. When they get way more than they bargained for and huge secrets are exposed, they are left to deal with the fallout in addition to exposing their relationship

Helen Lacey always writes an awesome story with love, suspense, and makes you want to keep reading till that book is finished. So far none of her books have disappointed me.
There has been a feud going between Rickard family and O’Sullivan family for lots of years. However, love does not listen to feuds and family being against each other.
Kayla Rickard wanted a family and be married well with the right man. She meets Liam O’Sullivan and finds him irresistible. She knows right from wrong however, the heart wants what it wants and Liam feels too she is the right one.
Kayla & Liam eloped to Vegas and as typical “what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” style they return to their homes and just meet up in secret. But when Kayla is pregnant all that must change.
Please consider reading this book and series as you will not be disappointed.

"Married to the Mom-To-Be (The Cedar River Cowboys)" by Helen Lacey is a wonderful, quick read. Liam O'Sullivan and Kayla Rickard have one big thing stacked against them. Their families hate each other. Even though this is a really big problem the two are secretly married to each other and they're expecting a baby. Kayla is very wishy washy with her marriage and wanting to keep it a secret from her parents. Liam has been patient with her and respecting her wishes to keep their private lives separate from their families. There are things in the past that come forward, and makes sense as to way the families don't like each other.

This story is part of the Cedar River Cowboys series. Its always nice to go back to Cedar River.
Kayla and Liam fall in love despite a ongoing war between there parents. Managing to keep the romance and quickie wedding in Las Vegas a secret. Until Kayla finds out she is pregnant.
Kayla and Liam are a case of opposites attract. Liam is a black and white guy with a high moral code. While Kayla sees shades of grey. They butt heads several times trying to sort this situation out.
Can they see each others point of view and work things out? If you are a fan of small town contemporary romance then pick up a copy.

Married to the mom to be ,is another great story by Helen Lacey.  A real problem exists when Kayla Rickards finds out she is pregnant by Liam O'Sullivan.  Why a problem lets list a few. First his family is on the no no list with her family as a family feud year old exists.  Second problem is Kayla wants to keep it a secret from her family that she is having Liam's baby because the final problem is she is secretly married to Liam.  The saying about a tangled web and deceit truly come to past in this story.  However their problems make it a riveting story and you will be so looking forward to see how they solve the problem.  A lovely book and a great addition to the Cedar River Cowboys series.  Ms. Lacey always leaves you with a warm feeling at the end of her books.  Enjoy its a great story.

Helen Lacey creates a modern day Romeo and Juliet scenario without the characters dying. LOL. There is no doubt that Kayla and Liam are completely in love and lust with each other. Their connection is intense and their passion flares instantly. However, they both have been raised with a hatred for the other’s family. Sadly, this happened between their fathers over 30 years ago. Will they be able to sustain a relationship after they learn the truth or will it destroy their chance at a happy marriage?

I loved this book because it felt different even though it’s an age old theme. There was a lot of communication between the characters but still times when you wanted to shake them into seeing that their relationship was important too! Great read!

Another Melanie Milburne winner! Christiano's grandmother dies and stipulates something in her will which causes the reunion of himself and Alice, an ex girlfriend.

Having an awful break up in the past didn't help the situation and it's tension city when both parties are reunited. The path to true love isn't smooth at all and it makes for the best read.

World wide destinations, passionate characters and rollercoaster emotions equal a satisfying read which I've actually read twice now.

The Temporary Mrs. Marchetti by Melanie Milburne shows how to people can be perfect for each other and yet let their fears and insecurities break them apart. Fortunately, Christiano Marchetti’s grandmother is smarter than he is and she had a plan! When Christiano’s grandmother passed away he discovered a clause in her will that states he is to marry the woman who broke his heart, Alice Piper, unless he wants to lose half his family home.

Alice Piper does not believe in marriage, not after watching her mother go through three of them, so she walked away from Christiano’s proposal seven years ago. When he lets her go without trying to stop her, she believes that he never loved her in the first place and that she made the right decision. When he walks back into her life after seven years apart she agrees to be his temporary wife for six months, but she falls in love with him all over again and this time she will do anything to make it permanent.

A truly enjoyable book! I recommend it to any romance lover.

A really great reunion story! The characters had a deep connection filled with steamy passion as well as an argumentative heat that made scenes between them really attention getting. I enjoyed them!

When hotelier Christiano Marchetti is handed the opportunity to exact revenge on his former lover who walked out on him seven years ago, he jumps at the chance. He has never been able to get her out of his mind, and now with a method of forcing her to marry him ... temporarily ... at his disposal, he is relishing the thought of revenge!

Alice Piper could definitely use the money she's being offered for this short marriage to Christiano, but it goes against all that she's ever believed in. Can she really bring herself to do it? And as they spend time together and she starts to see the man she never took the time to get to know all those years ago, she wonders if she made a grave mistake in walking out on his love back then. Can she convince him to make the marriage a real one?

A second chance at love story that Ms. Milburne has aced.  Alice and Christiano were together for years before their breakup.  To Christiano the past is the past, except according to his grandmothers will he must marry Alice Piper to keep his family home.  So its an easy plan for him he wants what he wants and will do whatever need be to get it.  Except Alice walked out on his proposal 7 years ago as she doesn't believe in marriage watching her mothers three, but the offer of money will help her.  What transpires between these two is a wonderful story of two strong people forced to be together and finding that maybe they were both wrong in the past.  She agrees to be his wife for six months, figures that would be easy except the heart has no knowledge of what temporary means, and she starts to fall in love all over again.  A truly lovely romance that will make your day.

At times there are fireworks between Alice and Cristiano. Bother are stubborn and sure of what they want for their future and that does not include each other. Will Alice really walk down the aisle and will it be the real thing or just to fulfil the requirements of the will?

What a sizzling sensual story this one is, a real page turner a second chance romance for hero the gorgeous wealthy hotelier Cristiano Marchetti and beautiful beauty therapist Alice Piper but as is the way true love never runs smoothly and Cristiano and Alice have a few things to work through after Cristiano’s grandmother’s will is read and the contents bring them back together.

Alice had a whirlwind affair with Cristiano seven years ago and has never felt the same about another man since but she was young then and still had a lot of growing up to do and after her childhood, marriage and families was something she did not want she wanted to run her own business and be comfortable but now with the chance of financial security and spending six months with Cristiano can she do this without losing her heart.

Cristiano had lost his family when he was young and was bought up by his loving grandparents so when he met Alice seven years ago he thought he was in love and she would make him happy you see he wanted family again but she hurt him and walked out and now with his grandmother’s will he has a chance to get back at her but can he keep his feelings and emotions intact.

This is another fabulous story by MS Milburne she really knows how to pull at your heart strings and make the characters so engaging that you do not want to put the book down I loved this one so moving and so very sensual what a story yes this one ticks the boxes for a read that is not forgettable. I have had the absolute pleasure of reading the two previous books written by Ella and I have to say, that although you don't think the writing could possibly get any better, it does!

Again alternating between the now and then Ella has again created two strong and beautiful women and written with such an element of magic I felt I was right there with Sarah and Louisa. I love the French authenticity and I love the drama and sweeping story.

Highly recommended for those who enjoy a damn good story with all the feels.

I started this book without expectations as such as I had only read one book by this author previously. Nonetheless, I was looking forward to the stories as I enjoyed the previous one I read by Ms Carey.

And yes, you read that right. Stories. You need to read her books to know what I mean by that.

While I read this book, I felt acutely the emotions that were experienced by the protagonists. The flow of the story would not let the situation be otherwise for me.

The characterisation and scenarios of both past and present makes for an enjoyable read.

I won’t go into discussion of everything about the book however I may wish to because I want to keep the review to a length people will consider reading and there are points that I would definitely like to talk about.

Firstly, this talks about the struggle women have been to for us to breathe in a relatively very free atmosphere. his novel set in past and present talks about the struggles of women in the late 19th century. How one decision after another is forced on them. How they are given to believe they have power while they are nothing but mere puppets of society. Not just that, it also brings to light the taboo surrounding divorce (at least in my part of the world). It talks about how life doesn’t end after a divorce. Unlike society thinking it ruining a woman’s life, divorce actually helps a woman better her life once she is no more in a stifling relationship.

Secondly, one thing that I must say that intrigued me so much about the ending of the novel was how it refuted an old saying that history is written by the winners. This book shows how people think they are winners and try changing the course of history but they are in fact the ones who have lost. The truth comes to fore however deep it be hid.

I loved it and will recommend it to anyone who is reading this.

MS Carey has done it again taken me on a journey back in time with heartfelt emotion, romance and drama I felt like I was back in these times, times of courtesans wild living before wars came and changed the world where people had to be what was expected of them and there were the few that could let themselves be who they wanted to for a short time and struggling females could become famous.

Sarah West is struggling to get her life back on track after the death of her parents and the breakdown of her marriage but a letter found among her father's possessions from the famous Parisian Courtesan Marthe de Florian dated 1895 is about to change her life send her to Paris to investigate a long lost relative Louisa West and actually stay in the Paris apartment that belonged to Marthe herself and to meet the artist Laurent Chartier and then delve back in time to the age of the Belle Epoque and the mystery surrounding her great great aunt how did she die?

This is a fabulously written story that delves back in time and brings Sarah's life full circle there is such a blossoming romance between Laurent and Sarah and the settings both in the 1890's and the present are amazing I honestly felt that MS Carey was transporting me to these places. So much history and romance the characters come to life and of course we got to meet up with Cat and Loic from The Paris Time Capsule and to see how woman struggled back then and the courage that Louisa West showed during her life. I hope I have done justice with this review truly I loved this one from page one and can't recommend it enough do yourself a favour and spend a few hours engrossed in this book. Thank you MS Carey for another keeper

"From a Paris Balcony" by Ella Carey is one of the BEST books that I've read this year, and I've read quite a few. Sarah West is trying to find strength with the death of her parents. When she is going through her parents possessions she finds a letter that tells about previous time in the life of her family. We are taken into the past to the 1890's and back to the present with such a flow that it is easy to follow and enjoyable to read.

After reading the description of this book. I was intrigued, i just had to find out what happened to Louisa.
The story alternates between the present and the past, so we can see events from the point of view of Sarah and Louisa. Sarah is feeling lost in life, having recently lost both her parents and divorcing her husband. She just doesnt know what to do with herself.
While going through her parents belongings, she comes across a letter from Marthe de Florian, a famous Parisian courtesan. The letter mentions the death of her great great aunt Louisa. Who supposedly died by commiting suicide. It also implies it wasnt suicide. Feeling the need for a connection with her family. Sarah flies off to Paris, determined to find out what really happened.
Staying in Marthe's apartment, Sarah hopes to find some letters from Louisa or Henry. Unfortunately the apartment is already occupied by Laurant a Parisian artist. Desperate to escape her life, Sarah agrees to share the apartment.
I really felt for Louisa, she wasnt a typical woman for her time period. Marrying and giving birth didnt appeal to her. She was all for womens rights, and idolised Emmeline Pankhurst. Something her mother abhorred.
When she meets Henry she thinks he is different from other men. And when he proposes she accepts. Believing her husbands station in life will help her spread the word about womens rights.
Instead she gets a disinterested husband who is only interested in his needs
Luckily Louisa has her brother in law who actually thinks her views are important. To be trapped in a loveless marriage must be awful. And in those days divorce wasnt the done thing.
Sarah doesnt have much luck in finding anything about her ancestor. Only one other letter is found, from Henry to Marthe. On the advice of Laurent she goes to England , to see if the Duvals will tell her anything else.
At first they are reluctant to help Sarah .Eventually Jeremy admits that the part of the house Louisa Henry and Charlie lived in, had been shut up and left how it was. Here Sarah finds one more letter between Henry and Marthe. Nothing to tell her about Louisa.
As she is about to leave the house she asks a member of staff if he knew anything.
Telling Sarah to go to his house away from prying eyes. He finally reveals all.
I wont say anymore, i hope i have peaked your interest into picking up a copy.

An intriguing story! We come across a bit of familiarity from her last novel THE HOUSE BY THE LAKE in this story as answers from the past are sought once again.

Boston art curator Sarah West is newly divorced and trying to find her place in the world alone after also recently losing both parents. While sorting through her father's belongings, she stumbles across a letter that mentions the 1895 death of her great-great-aunt Louisa in Paris. Family legend had always stated that she committed suicide, but some things stated in this letter lead Sarah to wonder if that is actually the case. She sets out on the adventure of a lifetime to see if she can find out the true story.

Sharing an apartment with artist Laurent Chartier in Paris, she visits various locations looking for info. Laurent encourages her not to give up when she hits road blocks, and she eventually finds a source that will be invaluable to finding the answer she seeks.
