Christmas Ever After by Sarah Morgan - Puffin Island Book 3

Reviewed by Desere

Christmas Ever After
Everyone knows I am a serious Sarah Morgan addict, so of course I yelled out my joy when the final of the Puffin Island series reached me,. Every Sarah Morgan book is like receiving that one special gift that will always be with you.

And this Christmas read will certainly always be with me as one of the best reads in the romance world. This time we get the low down on Skylar , she has never understood Alec Hunter's appeal, so what if he's a world renowned historian, who cares! He's cynical, aloof and determined to think the worst of her.

Then a twist of fate leaves Skylar having to spend Christmas with Alec's  family and of course she's not thinking of this as being a merry affair or starry and bright either. That is until she get's into the festive mood.

Alec has learned the hard way to not trust beautiful woman, and Skylar is by far the most beautiful woman he has ever laid eyes on, then as he watches her tangle deeper and deeper into the family's festive chaos he starts to realize there is far more to this blonde bombshell than meets the eye.

Now with Christmas just around the corner Alec and Skylar return back to the gorgeous Puffin Island and they bring back a tentative bond formed between them. Neither one intends to fall in love but as the nights become darker and the flames of passion grow hotter you never know this could be the beginning of the romance of the year, and the happy ending they both crave!

A touch of Christmas sparkle , the joy of family and the beauty of love , is what this read is all about and there is no other author more suitable to the task of bringing it all to life. I cried, I laughed , I shouted out and yes I even felt like my heart was being torn to shreds, and then pieced back together again with such tender care it nearly brought me to my knees. Sarah Morgan has an exceptional talent that not only wows me each time but manages to pull me out from whatever slump I might be in.

This time it was the news of my father having to go for a heart operation next week. It felt like the most scariest words I have ever heard , so of course as I always do I find something to read to take away all the chaotic thoughts running through my mind, it's almost never worked, there is always a point in the books where my mind wanders but I can tell you that this time it was not the case, Sarah Morgan , Alec and Skylar managed to take away my focus on the bad for a full 4 hours! And even now as the date nears I can pull on those happy thoughts from the book and the strength the character of Skylar has to get me through the days.

The book is emotional, brilliantly crafted, has a gorgeous plot and stunning backdrops with that perfect Sarah Morgan magic ! Sarah Morgan is the magic that makes romance go round!

CHRISTMAS EVER AFTER by author Sarah Morgan is a November 2015 release by Harlequin Mira.

This story takes us back to Puffin Island. We already read Emily Donovan’s story in First Time in Forever and Brittany Forrest’s in Some Kind of Wonderful.

Skylar Tempest is a successful jewelry designer but her parents think its just hobby. Therefore, she doesn’t get any appreciation or support from her family. Yet she has her own close friends on Puffin Island who not only love and support her, but are there for her every step of the way.

She meets brooding Alec Hunter on the island. But she hates him on sight and the feeling seems to be mutual. So under pressure Alec goes to Sky’s art exhibition while in London. He planned on showing his face and be on his way. Yet when he reaches there, he finds Sky in unexpected and unforeseen circumstance. He does what a good person would do and help her. But being together they see a different side to each other and sparks fly and they decide on ‘no emotional ties, angst-free diet version of a relationship. Relationship lite, nonfat!’

But what would happen when one of them begins to change the rules? And falls in love? Could it work?

CHRISTMAS EVER AFTER is a sensational story. It is like a Christmas miracle happening in front of your eyes. To get Alec and Sky together was a miracle in itself. Author Sarah Morgan always pens fabulous stories full of shimmering emotions. When Sky’s friends were quizzing Alec why Sky had left, I had tears streaming down my face at all the friends’ relationship. Sarah Morgan knows how to delve deep with emotions and move a reader to tears. All the readers of CHRISTMAS EVER AFTER would be hooked from the very first page until the end.

Highly recommended for all readers of romance.

Puffin Island Series Book One : First Time In Forever by Sarah Morgan

First Time in Forever (Puffin Island, #1)

Reviewed by Desere

This is the first book in the new Sarah Morgan series , and I personally have been waiting for it for what has felt like forever. This time we set off to Puffin Island and the secrets it's residence, permanent and temporary hold.

Windswept, isolated, ruggedly beautiful are just some of the words to describe Puffin Island. It's the isolation that Emily Donavan needs to hide out from her new life, however the close knit community of Puffin Island has a way of rather bringing everyone out of hiding and into the world they call their own, and that is the last thing Emily needs. Nor does she need sexy Ryan Cooper kissing her senseless and letting her truly feel emotion for the first time since a day at the beach changed her life forever.

But Ryan knows all about secrets, she's hiding far more than herself and the child she calls Lizzie. He makes it his personal mission to extract her secrets one kiss at a time, but what happens when she discovers who he really is?

From page one this book promised to me amazing , and it was in more ways than one. The characters main and secondary were all magical. From the somewhat crazy old ladies attending nude art classes to heartbroken ice cream shop owners and of course the hero and heroine who both stole my heart.

I simply adored the character of Lizzie, she is after all the key that brings Emily and Ryan to their journey of love. I could not get enough of the community and how they protect their own against all costs , the author placed me front and center for the show of the year!  Ryan is this laid back, go with the flow and very handsome, guy, but under his laid back nature there is also the hard hitting always push for answers persona that grabbed my attention and my readers brain refused to let go. It is his quest to push for answers that made me adore him more and more with each question he asked to get to the truth.

The character of Emily was understandably hiding as much of her life as she could, and let me tell you when the author revealed the truth about Emily's past and current predicament my heart broke, and I felt various emotions, ranging from first anger then utter disbelieve. And then I started fighting just as hard as Ryan to bring back out the person I knew Emily is meant to be.

Through both characters the author showed that secrets can destroy us, the longer we hold on to them the worse the fear of exposure gets and the worse the outcome will be. Secrets fester in our souls, and letting go is the only way you can be freed. Most importantly this book and the journey of Ryan and Emily showed that that past shapes us , but it does not determine the person we ultimately need to be, anything can be overcome with a helping hand, all you need to do is accept that helping hand when it is thrust towards you.

I highly recommend this book for all fans of romance that sizzles with red hot passion, beautiful romance, heartfelt emotion and a journey that will live in your heart for many years to come.  Mrs Morgan has once again shown she is more than capable of knocking any reader's socks off, she writes with the type of enthusiasm we all need to live our lives with.  First time in forever is uplifting, sensual, a real page turner and the very essence of island romance perfection!

I  very much look forward to the second book in this series, where the truth about Britney and Zack will be revealed!

FIRST TIME IN FOREVER by author Sarah Morgan is a Harlequin release for March 2015.
This is the first book in her mini-series Puffin Island.

Sudden death of Emily Donovan’s estranged half-sister and Emily became guardian to a six-year old girl, her niece Lizzy, whom she me for the first time. Emily has no idea how to bring up or look after a small girl. And she needed to keep her niece hidden away from paparazzi.

Ryan Cooper enjoyed life on Puffin Island. He had gone out in the world and saw all he needed to see. Now he was back for good. The appearance of Emily and Lizzy on the island was a distraction he didn’t want or need. But he couldn’t keep away from them. Sudden attraction flared between Emily and Ryan.

Bu Ryan was not ready for commitment or family, was he?

FIRST TIME IN FOREVER is a mesmerizing romance set in an exotic locale. I loved the island people. Sarah Morgan gave all the islanders their own personality and character. I feel as if I became friends with everyone. Of course I would like to see that the Summer Scoop survive and prosper. And the book club ladies are such fun. I wish they would dissect one of the famous books of now…I would love to read what they come up with!

I’m eagerly waiting for the next book in the series. Will Brittany come back and reunite with handsome pilot Zach?

Highly recommended for all readers of romance.

Playing by the Greek's Rules by Sarah Morgan

Playing by the Greek's Rules

Reviewed by Desere

Lily Rose is the type of woman who believes in love, and in making sure the man she falls in love with ticks all the boxes on her " perfect man " list. But then she makes an error in judgement and instead get's her heart broken.

Her best friend suggests she take life a little less seriously and instead go with just red hot sex and not all the mussy gooey love stuff.  Lily being a very in touch with her feelings gal at first says no to the entire idea, but then she ends up sopping wet in the shower of no other than her boss, Nik Zervakis.

And she knows he is the complete opposite of her "perfect man " list, he's cold, detached at all times, in control and best of all she's 100  % sure the man will be dynamite in bed, after all he's able to turn her into a quivering pool of lust with a mere look.

They strike a deal, they will use each other for sex and nothing more, just one night of red hot out of control unbridled sex, then walk away as if it never happened. But the next morning a phone call extends their time together and it's a one way street for wild crazy sexy nights, just for a few more days they can enjoy each other's bodies, no big deal. Then the rules of the deal change and their wolds are turned up side down.

I really love reading books by this author, I always feel as if I am being enchanted into a world I never want to leave, but I always find a way or a new book to move on and let go of the characters, this time around am not sure I will be able to. Nik and Lily will definitely be with me till my last dying breath.

They were both the type of characters that leap from the pages immediately. Nik with his suave and arrogant charm, hiding behind power the pain from his past , and Lily with her always happy sunshine smile everywhere she goes.

The plot was one any author can dream up , but not every author can pull it all together quite like Sarah Morgan. Every line written was pure, raw writing brilliance. I felt every emotion and with each change blossoming in the characters I felt it, really felt it.

And the ending played out perfectly, not the " Awh, that's a nice ending", or " Okay not a bad ending, liked it about 50% " or even " Great ending but the not the twist I really wanted", no the ending played out exactly how I wanted it, and I am definitely sure each and every reader who picks up this book will agree with me wholeheartedly, it could not have been done with more perfection.

I am taking away a message from each of the characters, through Nik  I was shown just to what lengths anyone can and will go to protect themselves against hurt. And through Lily the author showed that no matter who we are or which background we come from, or what we have been through there is always someone who needs the sunshine that lives in all of us.

I highly recommend this read, it was sensual, crazy sexy, passionate, captivating and highly entertaining. Sarah has delivered another all round feel good red hot romance.

Nic doesn’t do love or commitment and Lily wanted a fling. Would it work to both their advantage?

PLAYING BY THE GREEK’S RULES is full of shimmering sensuality and is an emotional roller-coaster of a read. The chemistry between Lily and Nic is palpable. The O'Neil Brothers Series by Sarah Morgan

Series overview by Desere

The O'Neil brothers series by Sarah Morgan tells of three brothers,. Each one has lost their way in life just a little, and are in desperate need of someone to bring them back down to earth. The author takes us on a magical journey as each brother finds the perfect woman to bring him to his knees.

But don't this this is another of those filled with too many secrets and too many thrills and spills to count series. No, this series is pure romantic perfection , with magical and calming scenery, a family who you will fall in love with and wish to be apart of.

From grandparents to mothers and fathers , to the staff you will fall deep into the life at Snow Crystal and just like me you will never want to leave!

In the first book Sleigh Bells in the Snow we gorgeously delicious Jackson, the brother with the plan to save his family business from downfall. He calls in the help of Kayla, and soon falls for her head over heals. But Kayla doesn't believe in love and all that Christmas stuff, so convincing her will be fun but who says he will get her to believe or even stay with him? In this read I learned that the past can mess you up so bad, but only if you let it. If you take control you can live a very happy life. Holding onto the past and letting it control your actions in life only causes pain and emptiness, and in the end all you will be is a cold hearted block of ice. Seek your happiness instead of doing everything possible to keep the happiness away.

In the second book Suddenly Last Summer we meet sinfully sexy surgeon Sean, last summer he and head chef Elise , who last summer rocked his world during a night when neither one could control their attraction anymore. He wants her again but only in his bed, his life is too complicated to let sexy distractions such as Elise mess up what he has worked so hard for, so all this can be is some fun. But even if he does manage to make it all fit someone, Elise has her own set of rules and getting the feisty chef to fall at his feet is more tricky then surgery! From this read a message of sometimes in life we need to step back into the past in order to find our way in the future, rang as clear as day!

In the third and final book Maybe this Christmas we meet ex skiing champ Tyler, he has long ago given up the focus on a career that ended suddenly and instead now focuses on giving his daughter Jess, all the attention she needs, it's a challenge he never knew he would need to face. But life brings about a new challenge when the one woman he has always wanted but never dared to risk the friendship they share ends up in his bed. Only Brenna has always loved Tyler and after their one magical night finds the courage and tells Tyler all about it, but Tyler is not the forever kind thus leaving Brenna to not be so sure that any of it was worth it or that her Christmas wish will indeed come true. From this read am taking away a message of life throws us curveballs we never see coming, but what if we grab onto the curveball instead of dodging it? Will it work out, will it fail? No one knows but just maybe we will get what we want by grabbing hold of the curveball  that is the first step to making it happen.

The entire series is a must read, from Jackson and Kayla and their happiness found amonst the sleigh bells, to Sean and Elise ripping each other's clothes off on a hot summer's night to Tyler and Brenna finally having the best Christmas ever!

I am truly sad to see the family go and I am even more sad that I will never be able to visit Snow Crystal again, the calming effect that each book's scenery gave me was simply amazing. I fell in love with this family more and more with each book and I wanted to stay apart of it all. Sadly none of us can, but at least there is the magic of re-reading this magical , perfect romance series over and over again because believe me this is a series you want your on keepers-shelf!

I highly recommend this series for all fans of romance looking for the magic of love, Sarah Morgan 's writing is simply phenomenal! From sweet, slow and sexy to scorching hot to sensationally sensual each book has something for ever kind of romance fan , or is that a brother for every kind of woman? No matter just read it, you 'll thank me for as long as you live! Sleigh bells in the snow ~ Jackson and Kayla's story

This is the final part to the amazing O'Neil brothers series by the always talented Sarah Morgan. This time we get to go inside the mind of Tyler and just why he won't get involved with his best friend Brenna!

Ex-skiing champion, reformed heartbreaker and single dad Tyler has one only mission this Christmas and that's to make sure his thirteen year old daughter, Jess, has the best Christmas ever. Then things get a little more complicated when his best friend Brenna has to temporarily move in with them.

She has been a distraction for as long as he can remember, but he has always kept his distance, because sex will complicate their friendship, and he'll be dammed if he messes up the only friend-relationship he still has left. So Brenna and her sexy ab's will just have to be kept out of his thoughts and out of his bed! Besides he doesn't do long term , ever!

Easier said then done, because Brenna, encouraged by her friends takes a leap of faith and in no uncertain terms makes sure Tyler knows she 's in love with him, she 's waited her whole life for him to see her as a woman and not just as one of the guys. But once they kiss the relationship shifts from friends to madly sexually addicted to each other, and Tyler is not the forever kind so is it actually worth it, or will Tyler make her dreams come true this Christmas?

I have been addicted to this series from book one and since I 'met' Tyler and Brenna in the first book I could not wait to dig into their happy ever after. From the first two books I could of course pick up that both Tyler and Brenna have some issues and the whole world can see they're in love with each other but keep holding back, this was delicious build up tension, but pure torture to wait , am so glad I finally got the lowdown !

Tyler has this sort of electric I'll make you mine with just a kiss feel to him which made him the sexiest brother by far. I adored how the author let him be this  intensely sexy man and he knows it ladies, he truly knows every woman wants him, but he stays gentle in so many other ways and does not let his sex on legs appeal get the better of him. He tries harder than most hero's to be a good father, he puts his foot in it quite a number of times but he tries so hard and it just made my heart melt and I loved him to bits! Through this character the author showed that there is always a different type of person underneath the layers we present to the world, never judge and never believe everything you hear, it hurts a person more than you will ever know.

The character of Brenna was fun, sweet, kind and just the type of heroine anyone will love. Her past is a terrible one, and made me stop and wish I could have been there to teach her how to fight back and stand up for herself. I simply loved how the author used Brenna 's friends to finally push her to fight for what she wants, it was like reading about a tiny puppy turning in to a fierce don't mess with me dog! Riveting ! Through this character the author showed that bottling up your feelings and anger never leads to anything good, the hurt festers and prevents us from becoming the people we are truly meant to be.

From this read am taking away a message of life throws us curveballs we never see coming, but what if we grab onto the curveball instead of dodging it? Will it work out, will it fail? No one knows but just maybe we will get what we want by grabbing hold of the curveball  that is the first step to making it happen.

I highly recommend this read for all fans of romance. The read was magical, sensual and so romantic you will forever believe in the power of love and the magic of Christmas after reading it!

MAYBE THIS CHRISTMAS by author Sarah Morgan is a Harlequin release for September 2014.

This is Book three of the mini-series about the O’Neil brothers.

Tyler O’Neil had to quit racing professionally after an accident. But he was not too happy to lead a quite life at Snow Crystal, his family’s lodge. He missed the adrenalin of the races. But he now has his teenage daughter living with him and he loved having her with him.

Brenna Daniels had crushed on Tyler since she was a teen and had followed him around ever since. But Tyler just saw her as ‘one of the guys’ and a best friend. Now forced by circumstances they moved in together, could their friendship turn to something more?

MAYBE THIS CHRISTMAS is a heart-warming tale of best friends trying to keep their friendship intact while fighting their attraction for each other. I loved the interaction between Tyler and his daughter. The dialogue between them were pure gold. Author Sarah Morgan depicted realistically how a solo dad waded through the drama of bringing up a teen daughter. And the friendship Tyler and Brenna tried to keep intact by ignoring their scorching chemistry made this emotional saga a treat to read.

I still remember the first Cosmo Red Hot Read I read by Sarah Morgan called Ripped! It was all kinds of hilarious funny and extremely super hot.

So of course I jumped at the chance to read her second CRHR and oh my was it all kinds of awesomeness! The author once again gave that super sexy flair of passion meets reality meets humor all neatly wrapped with a big bow of amazing writing!

The story tells of Rosie and how her perfect zen balance is thrown for a serious loop when her former coach and lover Hunter Black becomes her new boss!

Talk about awkward!  I for one would feel so out of place and would lose more than just my zen. But Rosie decides she won't go all nutty with all the sexual energy crackling between them, she'll instead go a little slutty and take what she wants but this time it's play by her rules or no playing at all. Poor Hunter has no idea what he's in for.

I really loved the sexiness of this read, the super hot chemistry between Rosie and Hunter was off the charts, and had this certain sneak around kind of feel about it making it all the more sexier.

The characters were very well written and nicely developed for a short read. None of that "I am missing this part about the personality or What? Why? What did I miss?" I know from previous short reads by other authors that it so very often happens that all you have a super red hot sexy story but no substance into the characters and it all just seems too rushed, not the case in this read, nice work Sarah!

Aside from sexy heat, fantastic chemistry, well developed characters there was also the fact that this is a fantastic well written second chances read.

I totally loved the ending in this read, it was so sweet, so kind so melt my heart inspiring it took my breath away. But am of course not going to tell you, you will need to read it for yourself all I will say is " Happy Birthday Ninja!"

Suddenly Last Summer by Sarah Morgan

Suddenly Last Summer (O'Neil Brothers, #2)

Reviewed by Desere

Suddenly last summer is the second book in super talented author Sarah Morgan's The O'Neil Brothers Series, and this time around we finally get the low down on sinfully sexy surgeon Sean O'Neil.

He lives for his job and nothing and no one interferes, and most importantly he never let's a woman interfere with his work.

Except when news of his grandfather collapsing comes he rushes back home to Snow Crystal, to be there for his family, even knowing they most likely don't want his there. Whist there he not only faces having to face the guilt that has kept him away from the place he once called home, but there is Elise.

Beautiful, feisty and full of life Elise who last summer ripped his clothes off and devoured him for hours. They are both alike, they live for work and there is never such a thing as relationships, thus their one blazing hot night of passion was just that, one night that will forever live in their memories.

But seeing her again stirs up all the sinfully sexy memories of that night and he realizes he wants her again. Elise feels the same way, she wants Sean again and using each other for sex is perfect, no emotional attachment, no wedding bells and no planning a life of happy ever after. It's the perfect set up, friends with benefits, that is until they both start to get around to revealing the truth about the past.  And analyzing it like you would a medical procedure or a baking recipe just does not seem to add up.

I have been waiting for this book since reading the first book Sleigh bells in the snow , I have been in absolute torture with wait, I wanted to get back to Snow Crystal and the amazing O'Neil family, they way they stick together to sort through lives up's and down's and of course I needed to get inside Sean's head and find out exactly why he is the opposite of his twin brother Jackson.

I was over the moon at being transported back to an amazing world of love, friendship, family and love. The author once again gave me that homey, family is everything feeling and totally blew me away with the story of Sean and Elise.

Sean's character was amazing. Him being so very focused on what he loves was incredible. His love of saving lives showed me that he is a real man through and through, he might come off as this " I only live for my job and one night stands is what I do best" man but deep down he is a very kind, caring and tender person with an extreme intellect for picking up on other's emotional turmoils. Through this character the author reminded me that everyone has a special gift in life to give, sometimes they just don't know how to fully give it and instead gives it to others than those they need to, but in a different from.

Elise was a very intense character, I loved her fire-y passion and lust for food and life. Her what you see if "what you get, and don't you dare try to discover more" attitude was a little concerning in the start, as it made me almost dislike her and I felt her a little rude,  but as the author revealed the full truth about her past, I understood perfectly why she acts the way she does and why she would rather stick her own rules. Through this character I learned that even though it looks like a person is full of life and loving every minute of everything they do, it's a smoke-screen. Everyone hurts at some point and you cannot always be happy at all times it is simply not possible, so pretending to be only screams out to the world that you are in fact hiding something.

The backdrop settings were as magical as they were the first time around when I was introduced to the magic that is Snow Crystal, this time the magic of romance in the snow was gone but it was replaced with the magic of summer kisses, summer rains washing away the dirt of the past and the sound of birds chirping that made me feel so alive it was if I was right there!

The book also had one of the sexiest, most erotic kissing in the rain scenes I have ever come across! I am taking away a message of sometimes in life we need to step back into the past in order to find our way in the future.

I highly recommend this read for all fans of super sexy romance reads. Sarah Morgan is a very gifted author who's writing brings a touch of magic sparkle to the world of romance!

I honestly do not know which part of this read was hotter! The totally delectable cover him in chocolate and whipped cream lick him clean all night long Nico or the explosive level of heat and chemistry that Nico and Hayley share !

I was addicted from page one and I found myself in stitches, yes this read had loads of crazy funny humor from start to finish and I was practically rolling around on the floor with laughter and  I had tears streaming down my face, truly excellent job Sarah!

The read starts out with Hayley attending her no good ex boyfriend's wedding, and as it happens the woman he is marrying is Hayley's best friend, shocking I know but all part of the author's genius plan!

Hayley's plan:  get in there smile and get out without drowning in her own humiliation.

But this little tit-bit proves to be the least of her problems , once there she is more focused on keeping her breasts confined in the a dress that takes ugliest dress of the year award to a whole new level.

She fails! Her rescuer is no other than the best man himself, smoking hot Nico Rossi, pure Italian perfection.
But Nico has never approved of anything Hayley has done and his ice-y looks of disapproval has always let Hayley known that this man is as unemotional as a rock, mind numblingly hot, but completely emotionally unavailable, and therefore a dead end.

But being rescued, then have a string of Italian swear words directed in her direction and then being kissed senseless and left sexually frustrated for days was not part of the plan either. So when he shows up on her doorstep as her Christmas present , she has only two choices.

One is to indulge in her fantasy to find out if Mr-in-my-arms-you'll-go-to-the-moon-and-back is as hot in bed as he is gorgeous, or two, go online shopping for something she is pretty sure she will not enjoy ripping open.

I completely and utterly loved, loved, loved this read! Each and every level of hotness any romance fan wants from a sexy read was incorporated. The author hit each and every note of sinfully sexy, delectable, mouthwatering romance awesomeness.

The best of all for me was that Nico was not only smoking hot and ripped in every aspect of everything the man does, but that he was Italian as we all know those are the best kind of hero's and even if you don't love a Italian trust me after reading this book you will be wanting one to rip you open faster than you can take a Ferrari from zero to 220 mph!

But don't for one minute think this book is all hot sweaty sex, being the queen of sizzling sexy romance this author also brought to life the sweetness and emotional level of understanding and togetherness for Nico and Hayley, making this the perfect HOTTEST Christmas read of the year ! Oh and did I mention there's a secret involved too!

In the new read from author Sarah Morgan this is the life of Kayla Green, she slaves hour after hour closing one deal after the other, she loves her job and is devoted to it every single minute of the day, yes even in her sleep, the woman does not go to bed without her phone! But there is one time of the year that she piles on as much extra work as possible, Christmas time and in her books the season to loath.

So when I'll-make-you-melt-with-one-touch Jackson O'Neil approaches her to make sure the word gets out there about his family business, she is all for it. What else could be more perfect, a secluded cabin surrounded by snow, no Christmas decorations in store windows for miles, she could loose herself in her work and before you know it Christmas will be over and life will be okay again.

But upon arrival Kayla finds she is in buried in a very deep amount of snow or rather trouble, so deep in fact that no shovel can dig her out of it. She is surrounded by Christmas and happy everywhere she looks, she can handle this, simply block it out by focusing on work, but when she finds herself in the arms of Jackson she cannot seem to find the block she needs to resist him and the happy ever after feelings he bring out in her, she needs to run and run fast, before her heart of ice melts and she risks loosing love once again.

The character of Kayla was in all honestly a truly vivid reminder of just how messed up one can become after a lousy childhood. Our parents and their actions leave such a long lasting impression on us that it shapes our adult life and not always for the best. Kayla was so very realistic with drowning herself in work simply to escape life as most of us do, but what really got to me was that she does so even harder during Christmas, it showed her as almost dead, like she was a restless spirit just running through everyday, this is where the author made me cry because I felt so sad for Kayla, it broke my heart that someone could dislike Christmas so much, just heartbreaking. But through the character of Kayla the author also showed that it can change when you are surrounded by the love of a family.

The character of Jackson was not only all levels of serious hotness, but the author also let him hit each and every note of hero I has reader look for in a read. Kind and caring, strong and pushy when the moment calls for it, sensual and sexy! Him having some issues with his family reminded me that even though everything seems fine to the outside world, there is always, always something on the surface that is boiling and ready to tear it all apart, but with all that happening your love and understanding for each other will always shine through and make any person more than happy to become apart of that circus.

The backdrop settings were absolutely exquisite and so vividly described by the author that I truly felt as if I was standing in the snow seeing the trees, I could feel my cheeks going cold from the icy air being described and felt as if I could actually feel the moose watching me. Brilliant work Sarah!

The dialogue was sensual , super hot and sexy, but the author did not make it all about the relationship between Kayla and Jackson, she packed a very strong and heart-touching punch with emotion so strong and overpowering I cried, laughed and after completing the read it took me more than just a few minutes to come back down from my emotional high.

I am taking away a message of the past can mess you up so bad, but only if you let it. If you take control you can live a very happy life. Holding onto the past and letting it control your actions in life only causes pain and emptiness, and in the end all you will be is a cold hearted block of ice. Seek your happiness instead of doing everything possible to keep the happiness away.

The secondary characters in this read were so fantastic I felt as if I was at home, with grandmother and grandfather each being the perfection of grandparents, grumpy out of sorts, loving and adorable and just the way we all know them to be.

The author also touched on the lives of Jackson's brothers Sean and Tyler, who I am delighted to say will be getting their own stories and I simply cannot wait for them, Sarah if you have not yet written them, get to writing and do it NOW!

I highly recommend this read for all fans of romance with a simply magical setting, amazingly crafted characters and a message of Christmas is the time for loving. A sensual, sexy, passionate highly compelling read, the perfect escape into a world of romance and Christmas miracles.

If Christmas was your least favorite day on the calendar, you would probably go to any lengths to avoid it. But what if you unwittingly jumped from the frying pan into the fire? To land a new account, Kayla did.

Smart, gorgeous and successful, Kayla Green lived, breathed and focused completely on her job. This intensity kept the facade in place against all her broken dreams, but Christmas was the hardest to overcome. A reprieve this year from the twinkling lights, irritating carols and endless festivities appeared as an opportunity to land a new account at the Snow Crystal Resort and Spa. Or was it really? The resort came with a family, pets, festivities and a gorgeous man. All things she didn't want or believed she needed. She tried to hold the wall around her heart in place, but with each new bombardment, the cracks began to form. Would she survive this immersion in all the things she had been trying to outrun or would she return to New York a broken, unrepairable shell?

Handsome, intelligent and family oriented, Jackson O'Neil left a thriving business behind to save his family's home, Snow Crystal Resort and Spa. Despite the frustrating family dynamics and infusion of cash, a professional PR campaign was needed to get the “heads on beds” they required to succeed. Learning of Kayla's success in increasing the scope of a company's appeal, he invited her to the resort to observe firsthand the activities offered to prepare a campaign for them. What he didn't plan on was the instant attraction between them and a profound wish to destroy the guard she held around her heart. He just knew under that hard professional exterior was a soft, warm, and compassionate woman crying to be released. Would he be the one to release that woman or would she carry his dreams and desires back to New York, leaving him a lonely, empty man?

From the first page to the last, this story contained witty dialogue, intriguing secrets, and a wide range of emotions. Excellent character development intertwined with an intriguing plot produced a superbly written book. Watching Kayla mature from a broken, lonely woman to one of unlimited emotional response was extremely entertainingly.

I would highly recommend this book to all romance readers.

Sarah Morgan’s latest book Sleigh Bells in the Snow was the perfect way to start my holiday reading. I totally fell in love with this book. The setting takes place in Snow Crystal, Vermont. It was written with beautiful scenery and winter activities. It made this reader wish she could travel north for the holidays.

Kayla Green is not a big fan of Christmas, so when the chance came along to escape the decorations and parties she jumped at it. She envisioned herself isolated from the rest of the world in a cabin, until all the excitement of the holidays had passed. What she didn’t plan on, was finding what was missing from her life.

Jackson O’Neil is the type of hero every reader would love to read about. He is self made, determined and sexy. Jackson has come back home to save the family business. Failure is not an option! He just needs to have his grandfather on his side. So he has hired Kayla Green, the top PR specialist to help bring tourist to Snow Crystal Resort and Spa.

The attraction between Kayla and Jackson is instant. And the two main characters were so well written. They were flirty, funny, sexy and believable. My heart broke for Kayla when we learn of the true reason she doesn’t like the holidays. But Jackson and his family will give Kayla a special holiday she won’t forget. Along with these two amazing characters, Sarah writes strong secondary characters as well. I felt like I knew the entire O’Neil family very well by the time I finished reading this book. This will be a book I will cherish and read a number of times. It totally captured the spirit of family and Christmas. I can’t wait to read Sean and Tyler’s stories.

I highly recommend this book to Romance Readers, Sarah Morgan Fans and readers who love a romance novel with a Christmas theme.

There were so many favorite lines in this book; I have to share more than one:
“Do you live with your family?” “No. I love them, but there are limits. I converted the barn.” So that he could have his own personal brick wall to bang his head against when they drove him crazy.

It sweeps you away and robs you of breath, and you know that no matter what happens in the future, this is a moment you’re going to remember forever. It’s always going to be there, living inside you, and no one can take it away.

This was one of the most spectacular winter reads I have ever come across.  I didn’t only sense the snow and ice, I felt the firelight and the family warmth of a Vermont winter too.  Good heavens, it was the perfect read for the Christmas season or for the winter in general.  I totally loved Sarah Morgan’s vivid description of snow-filled forests, log cabins, sleighs pulled by husky dogs and skiing down slopes, some easy and some not so easy.  I relished the story of Kayla, a young woman with a heart frozen from lack of love, thaw out from the love of Jackson, a warm-hearted and gallant hero. Not to forget a very special puppy.   This is a winter classic which I’ll be coming back to again and again.  And it’s one of a series, which is great news for Sarah Morgan fans.  Jackson’s brothers and their ladies will have their place in the spotlight too.  For anyone who loves romance, classy winter reads, family sagas and slightly longer Harlequin reads.
