Well what can I say this one was an absolute joy to read so many emotions our hero Dr Jake Lewis has the best sense of humour as well as being one good looking Doc and Heroine British born Lola Bennett makes me smile with her come backs at Jake as she endeavours to keep up with all the work her actress boss throws her way and do the thing that she wants most.

Lola has lived a life of acting and drama classes with her loving parents pushing her that way she is the best they say so when she moves from England to Los Angeles and the heart of Hollywood and writes a script because that is what Lola really wants, she is working for actress Cameron Fontaine as her PA and that has her working her butt off but it gets her closer to people she needs to give her script to but she needs a bit more confidence to do so but her life is about to do a full turnaround when she meets the impressive Dr Jake when he comes for a house call for Cameron their first meeting will have you smiling.

Dr Jake Lewis has come to work in The Hollywood Hills Clinic so as he can pay back his parents for all that they have done for him but with a stubborn father this is not going as planned Jake is a top neuro-surgeon and is good at his work and he is not happy about having to do house calls on the set of a movie but it is part of the job so off he goes and the first person he meets is the PA she is cute British and he is blindsided by her looks and personality and comes to the wrong conclusion about Lola this is going to be a fun journey as he learns so much more about her.

And what a journey to the best HEA through ups and downs and a very sensual pull between two people who have already decided on their futures and that is that their jobs come first but as they get closer and end up on the Island of Nassau for filming they cannot resist each other anymore and a sizzling affair begins but both are sure it will be a short one (I don't think so). This really is a magical story that had me laughing smiling and shedding few tears as Jake opens up to Lola and although they both deny their love for a while in the end the cannot deny it this is a beautiful story that I highly recommend this is one for the keeper shelf and it will be re read many times over MS George brings the characters to life on the pages I loved this one.

Matteo Finelli ends up in Hospital lawyer Ivy Leigh’s office when his naked butt is splashed all over the internet. Damage control was Ivy’s job as the hospital didn’t want negative publicity overtaking all the good work it was doing.

But Matteo didn’t have time or the inclination to do what Ivy suggested, so he counter-attacked with his own strategy which Ivy agreed to. But it meant spending time together in close proximity with the sexy Italian surgeon. Was Ivy up for it? Because they had sizzling attraction between them which took their passion to its fruitful ending.

Now, after a fling, would Ivy consider Matteo as a life-long commitment? After all Ivy was running away from anything serious. And would Matteo wait for Ivy to make up her mind?

TEMPTED BY HER ITALIAN SURGEON is a romance filled with medical drama. A reader would stay hooked to the story till the last page. It has that momentous impact by all the emotion depicted in this romance. Another shimmering and mesmerizing romance full of breathtaking emotions from author Louisa George.

Enemies with Benefits is by Louise George and is a November 2014 Mills and Boon new release.  It's also part of the continuance series "The Flat in Notting Hill". 

I loved Enemies with Benefits.  It's an absolutely delightful story about Poppy and Isaac who have known each other forever.  Set during the festive season we happen across Poppy at home alone, determined not to feel sorry for herself while everyone is out all love-coupled up.  Having dragged out the beaten up Christmas tree, with a few vodkas and red wines under her belt Isaac walks in to find Poppy decked out with baubles and tinsel singing at the top of her voice she's happy to be all alone! Hilarious!  

Not sure what's driving her, whether it's the alcohol or whether she's just had enough of her boring life Poppy finally looks at Isaac for what he is, what she's been trying to ignore for a long time - a really REALLY good looking guy, a successful businessman who works extremely hard and who makes her zing in places that haven't zinged in a long time; someone who is always up for a good time, not a long time; the perfect someone who can show her what she's missed out on over the last 8 years during her self imposed celibacy.

The problem is Isaac is Poppy's brother's best friend.  They've all grown up together and for a while attended boarding school together.  Now Isaac happens to be one of Poppy's current flatties in her Notting Hill Flat so he's still going to be there in the morning.  They also have history.  Isaac has seen Poppy at her worst and has kept her mortifying teenage secret.  He thinks Poppy is just beautiful, but she's his best friend's little sister. That's the first of a million reasons he tells himself why he shouldn't go there but mice and fate have other things in mind for Poppy and Isaac and Enemies with Benefits is their refreshing, delightful, witty and often hilarious story of them finding each other and love.

Set in Notting Hill during the festive season, Poppy and Isaac are one of the four couples the series follows. This was my first introduction to the series and I'll be looking up the others. Poppy's friends are a great addition to the story and are weaved perfectly through out the story.  
Isaac is extremely likeable.  He is a very successful bar owner and is slowly building up his worldwide empire.  He is absolutely gorgeous but has just enough rogue in him to make him interesting and likeable and just plain gorgeous.  His point of view is a welcome addition and quite realistic in my opinion.  

Poppy may have ruled out a personal life for herself but that hasn't stopped her from becoming a successful obstetrics registrar.  The two complement each other quite nicely.  While Isaac sees grit and sleet, Poppy helps him sees magical snowflakes.  While Poppy see's mortification and embarrassment when everyone realises what has happened between the two, Isaac helps her see she's guilty of nothing but having fun.  The conversation between the two is brilliant! It was witty and hilarious as well as intense and heart thumping.  I turned the pages as fast as I could soaking up every single word.

How long can the fun last tho? What happens when Isaac is about to jet off to Europe? How do they end up working together and what on earth does mice have to do with anything?  Why did I laugh and laugh and why was I hooked on every enjoyable word?  Why did I feel like I was right there with Isaac and Poppy during their white-Christmas  when I'm actually sitting here in New Zealand on a beautiful and sunny and summery December day?  Read Enemies with Benefits and you will be sure to find out.

I gave Enemies with Benefits 5 stars because I didn't want to put it down, I felt a billion emotions, I enjoyed every word,  I thought it was the perfect Christmas read, I believed in the characters (I love Louisa George's characters) and I would definitely read it again and I would recommend it to all.  I sincerely hope anyone else who picks this up finds it as funny and refreshing and just as gorgeous as I did - I'm still smiling!

Not quite, when she has to work with hotshot Irish surgeon Declan Underwood. Now you might be thinking working with hot Dr is never bad for any woman, but when he is the same man she kissed at hospital ball, it places a whole new spin on the entire situation, talk about uncomfortable!

Declan is well known for being a total heartbreaker and woman all over would rather see him tied to a tree and be whipped then back in their beds, but lucky for him his legendary surgeon skills make up for it and he is famous in his own right.

His glamorous life in London however is a far cry from the poverty- stricken childhood he once knew, and he would rather keep hidden. But when Declan and Kara are tossed into each other's lives there is no denying their feels for each other, only Kara is not prepared for this to be a non lasting relationship and Declan does not believe it things lasting forever, if it does not work he walks away end of story of is is?

This was a very lovely afternoon read full of emotional drama and a sweet romance building to a passionate relationship. The characters were well written and the author created them both with realistic perfection , it was as if I was reading about a true life relationship instead of a fictionally created one.

Both characters emotions, actions and reactions were that of what we would do in real life, it did not feel as if it was something no person will say or do, I find in some medical romances that the actions and sayings of the characters just don't feel real and am left thinking " Really, where did the author come up with this?" , thankfully not the case in this medical romance, nicely done Louisa!

I am taking away a message of our past might not be anything like our current situations, it could be worse or better, but it does not matter. The point is how you handle your situation , if you flounce it off and try to cover it with misguided actions you will only be seen as a terrible person making you no better than your past. But if you face up to it and try to make it better than your past would have done, then the true you will show through.

I recommend this read for all fans of medical romance reads, that love a good and sweet tender romance with a bit of a feisty streak and crackling tension.

All of us has had a client from hell. You want to quit your job, run away and stick your head into a hole, hide out in the janitors closet or call in sick.

Yep, clients from hell make us all want to do pretty stupid things, but in the end we do need to deal with them, because of that annoying little saying " The client is always right".

In the new read from Louisa George this is what Cassie learns the hard way. She knows she should not let anything stand in the way of making her new business a success and this includes having to jump at the every wish of her new and very irritating but most of all too sexy to handle client, Jack.

Now any normal woman out there would deal with it in the most professional way she knows how, but Cassie goes the route of letting Jack end up in her bed.

But even with his clothes looking so very right on her bedroom floor there is still that nagging little voice telling her this is a recipe for disaster, you're not meant to mix business with pleasure, or are you?

I loved this read, it was so full of craziness and sexy humor it left me laughing out load and saying over and over again " Thank you Louisa George, this is why I read your books".

I liked that Cassie is so determined to succeed but at the same time she is just human and makes mistakes just like you and me. It showed her as realistic and through her character the author let me know that as in real life we get to a point where were think we have done the most stupidest thing ever, yet a voice of reasoning is what we are meant to be seeking instead of blaming ourselves over and over, blame is an emotion that can drain our senses more than anything else. Stack up the pros and cons and do what you have to.

Jack, ah Jack what a man! This is my new book boyfriend!. Yes he is a utter jerk at the best of times and yes I wanted to yell at him and ruffle up his perfect hair just a little, but even with this I was just as Cassie was, completely entranced by this man.

The author takes him from downright jerk to amazing hero, but she does so over a nice moving pace and not too dragged out to the point where I wanted to say " Get on with it already would you!".

In some romance reads the hero's stay utter jerks right up to the very end, and I cannot get over the fact that the author is not showing me a little more emotion into his actions. This is good for keeping me guessing but I am not really after a mystery but a romance. So the author letting Jack's good side slip in here and there made it so much more fun to read and kept me hopelessly in love with him and forgetting that I wanted to ruffle him up!

I am taking away a message of love is love no matter the form it comes in.  We might be telling ourselves that this is not the way we wanted it to happen and we have other issues in life we need to deal with , but the fact remains, it did happen and if we stand back and let it go without a fight we will be looking back with pain and heartache instead of being thankful for the love that came around and brought us to the one we are meant to be with.

HER CLIENT FROM HELL by Louisa George is April 2014 release by Harlequin Kiss series.

Cassie ran a catering business but was struggling as her ex and business partner had ran away while emptying her bank account. Then in walked a new client, whom Cassie needed for her business but he was so arrogant!

She could do without Jack's ego, but the sexual chemistry between them was off the charts!

Jack was so not for a commitment. All he was up for was a fling, but would Cassie take a no-strings attached-fling-only relationship from him?

HER CLIENT FROM HELL kept me guessing right from the beginning if these two would ever end up together. It had fun, witty dialogue and scorching sensuality. Author Louisa George did a great job with tortured hero with past grief and turned him into a sensitive hero.

Recommended for all lovers of romance.

BACKSTAGE WITH HER EX is a fun and flirty romance with sensual scenes as well. While reading I had grave doubts about how Nate and Sasha would end up together. Nate was the LA bad boy rocker with girls plastered to him all the time. And Sasha was the prim teacher with different goals. They didn’t even want the same things. Do opposites really attract? But author Louisa George brought Nate and Sasha together with such fun, witty banter and tied them with emotional thread so tender yet so strong that it would leave readers gasping.

Highly recommended for all lovers of romance.

Every woman has at one stage come across a man so different from her and what she wants in life that getting involved will surely be your downfall, but resisting the badboy is always the hardest and in the case of most they fall at the first touch.

But after temptation comes the seeking of deeper meaning and the fun time fling with the badboy turns into a relationship. It is a relationship that you know will surely end for you can sense it coming but still in the name of love you cling, that is if you don't have a secret to protect and if the man himself sticks around long enough want to try and find out. 

In the new Louisa George read this is the situation for Sasha, years ago she and badboy now turned rocker I'll-make-your-body-play-for-only-me Nate had a good thing going but he left and never looked back, leaving her behind to deal with the heartache.

Now a school teacher she has the chance to let her always helping others attitude shine through by helping the school choir make a success. Only to reach the dream for them she needs to pull in the help of Nate, the media attention would more than double the attention needed. 

Only when she goes to ask him the look he gives her tells her all she needs to know, yes he will help her with anything she needs if she helps him by taking up where they left off. But Sasha is still the same insecure woman she use to be, holding on to a secret that prevents her from getting too up close and personal, and Nate is still the running away at the first sign of trouble, this will never work and it seems all they have is chemistry and no chance at a real relationship tied with roses and love. 

The character of Sasha was very well written and I liked that the author linked her to real life in the sense that many woman are prim and proper on the outside simply because they need to scare off men because there is something that will prevent her from having a normal relationship and thus she feels that acting uptight will keep the advances away and her secrets will remain safe. I adored how the author let Nate drive Miss Prim and Proper from the stage and let the true star that is Sasha shine through, not dragged out over a too long period but rather with very slow and delicious scenarios. It kept the read light and fun.

The character of Nate was all kinds of sing for only me deliciousness! Him having his very own secret added to the brilliantness that was this read. I loved how the author let me be able to pick up on the secret but kept it hidden in little here and there hints. The author also let Nate feel extremely real and in the flesh to me as reader, yes with the descriptions of him being more than just sexy but also with the reasoning behind him rather running as soon as it gets too much, which is what a lot of people in real life do, you run when the going gets tough.The author using Sasha to draw out Nate from his star always on the go no time to stop attitude was truly awesome to read.

The backdrop settings and dialogue was fun, sexy, flirty, passionate and playful at all times, the author also gave me little emotional conversations that let me as reader know there is more to the secrets being kept and indeed when revealed it would bring the perspective of both characters and their actions into the open with a bang.

I am taking away a message of holding back and staying hidden simply because of a secret will only make it worse as the doubt will eat away at you and keep preventing you from moving past it. And most importantly we cannot always protect everyone we love but when given the chance take it and if you fail understand that it was beyond your control and at the time you did what you thought was best. 

I highly recommend this read for all lovers of Louisa George's fun, flirty, sexy, sensual reads. A passionate, heartfelt read about not running away from anything in life. Truly a spectacular afternoon read!

"  Opposites may attract but can they make it stick"

In Lousia George’s new novel Backstage with her Ex, Nate Munro has things handed to him a little too easily. And he thinks his highschool crush is just another groupie. But Sasha has a different agenda, she needs support from Nate to help raise funds so that the choir she teaches make it to a musical contest.

I have to admit at first I did not like the character of Nate. He was a little too arrogant. And thought because of his wealth, fame and money it could buy him anything he wanted. Having as many women as he wanted did not help either. While he did turn around by the time he went to Italy with Sasha, I am not sure as a reader I was buying his change where women were concerned. But I have to admit there is something about a bad boy that women just love! Not sure if it is the challenge or something else that makes them so appealing.

Now the character of Sasha I absolutely fell in love with. She devoted her time and her love to her gifted students and would do anything to help make their dreams come true. My only complaint with her character was I thought she fell into bed a little too easily with Nate. I cannot imagine going through what Sasha’s character endured when her father died. Louisa always seems to pull heart wrenching emotions out of her readers with her novels.

I did love the verbal exchanges between Sasha and Nate. And I especially thought that they connected really well when they went to Italy.

I  highly recommend this to fans of Lousia George.

Gabby Radley starts her new job tomorrow, but tonight she is drowning her sorrows at the local bar. When in walks sexy-as-sin-loves-them-and-leaves them Max. The attraction is instant, but neither one wants serious. Especially sense they work together. Soon this ONE seriously passionate night is not quite enough. But Gabby's past holds a life changing secret, one she struggles with. I really felt Gabby's struggles and issues. She suffered more than any one person should. 

I loved that these two had issues from their past. And worked through them. But I have to admit I was really pissed at how Max handled her secret when he first found out. I understood it to some extent, when you understand his childhood. But I still wanted to the steal the movie line from Moonstruck where Cher smacks the guy and tells him to snap out of it. Still a very good read!

When Max, (Mr. Maxwell Maitland, the top surgeon) met Gabby (Charge Nurse Gabriella Radley), the attraction was mutual, electric and inevitable.  So when the 'inevitable' happened, Gabby tried to back out on the grounds of unprofessionalism.  But it didn't work.  These two people have both been tragically affected in their formative years, but when they meet and fall in love, after a great deal of exchange, the healing power of love really does work its magic, proving again that love is the best medicine.

Louisa George is a bold author, going where others don't.  I'd have thought that getting wasted in a bar would be the last resort as a means of finding the man of your dreams.  But she makes it work.

The book gives some tantalizing glimpses of Auckland and a great insight into human emotions, how your life doesn't have to be blighted by negative experiences in the formative years and how pregnancy can sometimes go disastrously wrong.

It all adds up to a rich, emotional read for the person who reads this novel and engages with these memorable characters.  Louisa George's books always leave me thinking.  This book was no exception.

Highly recommended for readers of romance fiction in general and medical romance in particular.

Louisa George's How to Resist a Heart Breaker is book two of a fantastic duet by her and Sue McKay.

Twin Doctors, Max and Mitchell Maitland, are both at the top of their game and fierce rivals.  They are brought back together after being raised apart because Mitchell's son needing a lifesaving transplant that only Max can perform.

In How to Resist a Heartbreaker is Max's story, the book begins just after the operation. Max needs to shake off the stressful surgery so heads to the local bar for a relaxing beer.  He cant help noticing a beautiful stranger who's also by herself sinking Mojito after Mojito.  Max is curious and starts a hilarious banter with said stranger.  This'll be easy he thinks, smile a lil smile, have a little banter and then take her back to hers... what a great way to wind down.

It's not always as easy as that tho and so begins a brilliant medical romance that I couldn't put down.  Once I picked it up, that was me until the last page and as soon as I write this i'm going to read Mitchell's story; Sue MacKay's The Gift of a Child.

Max was a fascinating character. To the outside world he has it all, charm, wit, money, beautiful penthouse, successful and renowned Surgical career but true to form it's usually those who appear to have it all actually crave what many of us are fortunate to have which is more priceless than any $$$ can offer - a family!  While Max can see Mitchell any given day if he wants, they're emotionally separated due to a mixture of circumstances beyond both of their control and past resentments which have grown and festered over the years.

The stranger in the bar turns out to be Charge Nurse Gabby Radley, newly appointed charge nurse to the peadiatric HDU where Max's nephew is recovering after his transplant.  Gabby wants new life for herself in Auckland, she's not running away from her old life in Wellington, she just wants to make new memories and have a successful nursing career specialising in peadiatrics.  Being in a new town she takes a deep breath, throws caution to the wind and becomes the definition of a "new you".  She tries things she'd never have done in Wellington, which includes agreeing to being Max's bed buddy.

Max and Gabby's casual relationship has quite an effect on them both.  They question themselves about wanting more than a casual bed-buddies relationship but when disaster strikes, in more ways than one Max throws it all away because his past prejudices has him labelling Gabby is imperfect and not someone he would want to spend his life with.

I absolutely loved the glimpses of Auckland, Louisa's writing never fails to remind me that I am so fortunate to live in such a beautiful country and just how wonderful the city I live in, Auckland, is.  I was right there on the edge of the Auckland Skytower thinking Gabby was so brave jumping off, I don't think I could do it for anything... but that's what Gabby was thinking too and she managed.

The Gift of a Child by Sue MacKay: Dr. Jodi Hawke packed up Dr. Mitchell Maitland's belongings three years ago, and kicked him out when he became unreliable. Having never been put first in his life she had, had enough. But there was one thing she never told Mitch, she was pregnant with his child. Now with a seriously ill child, she will do whatever it takes to save their little boy Jamie. Even returning to the one man she never stopped loving. The one man who could be instrumental in saving their son. 

After three years Mitch is shocked to see Jodi walk into his office. But he is about to be floored when she tells him he is a father. In shock at first he does not believe her. But then he realizes one thing very fast, Jodi never lied to him. Next bomb shell their son is suffering from Renal failure and will need a kidney transplant fast.

I have to say I really like both main characters in this book. She had a good reason for not telling Mitch about Jamie. And Mitch came through with flying colors. These two had no problems reuniting their passions. Jodi was strong, feisty when needed, protective of her son. Mitch was passionate about his work, sexy as sin. And he was determined not to lose Jodi or his son. And little Jamie was just precious, just so adorable for going through so much. 

You are also introduced to Mitch's estranged twin brother Max. And he is the head of the transplant team. Between Mitch's and Max's story, you find out why they were estranged. Which is heartbreaking all by itself. 

I recommend this book and the sequel - How To Resist A Heartbreaker by Louisa George. It is the story of twin Dr. Max Maitland and Gabby Radley

This novel is part of a twin set of novels by Louisa George and Sue MacKay respectively, which are currently on sale in one volume..  The novels are about a set of twin brothers, Max and Mitch Maitland who were separated during their childhood and because of negative family circumstances, became rivals in a way that should never have happened.

The one woman who knows both brothers better than anyone is Dr. Jodi Hawke.  She originally dated Max, a surgeon, but ended up in love with his doctor brother, Mitchell.  Mitch, however, was the worst boyfriend in the history of the universe and she had to either lose him or lose her sanity.  She chose to lose him.  She may have regretted it later when she discovered she was pregnant, but when she came to tell him the news, he was kissing another woman.  So she gritted her teeth and raised her son alone.

Now, however, Jodi is faced with a problem.  Her toddler is critically ill.  He is facing renal failure and a kidney transplant is recommended.  She needs all the help she can get.  How can she tell Mitch what she's done?  Will he overcome his anger at her keeping the knowledge from him that he was a father?  Will he give love and support?  Will his brother Max come through and perform the transplant surgery?  There are many ordeals to be faced, but first, Jodi has to tell Mitch the truth.

Like all medical novels, this is no fantasy tale, but an emotional drama full of powerful feelings and emotions. I found it to be an immensely satisfying read on all counts - the father's point of view, the mother's and even the child was beautifully depicted.  It all adds up to a wonderfully human story which will leave the reader moved and somewhat more aware of the plight of transplant patients.  This was my first Sue MacKay novel and I am very much attracted by her compassionate writing voice.  I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future and I wish her every success with this story.

The Last Doctor She Should Ever Date by Louisa George

Personally I have never been a major rugby fan more of a motor racing fan, and seeing rugby incorporated into a romance read was at first thought one of "Okay that could get interesting but of course only if the characters are truly right for each other, so we'll see".

Yet, at the same time I knew that Louisa George has bowled me over before with her stories and I was more than keen to try this read.

And wow did the author pull it off with spectacular fashion! She gave me a story of behind the headlines, endless hours of training and all the hype that goes with always keeping your cool and making sure the crowd loves you by not stepping out of line.

Not to mention the team behind the team and how vital they are to keeping it all together.

The read is about Dani, daughter to team owner of the Jets and one time badgirl , there to prove a point to the rest of the world, she has grown up and is certainly not planing on making any-more childish mistakes.

That is until she meets the new team Dr. "Mr.Name-and-Undress-me now-please"  Zac! He completely bowls her over but if they both want to hang onto their careers they need to keep their relationship purely professional and their healing hands to themselves!

The main characters of Dani and Zac were both a real treat to read, both made mistakes in the past and have each paid for it in their own way. But moving on is easier said then done and for both of them getting to the end of the line to ensure they score is a long road of up's and down's.

I loved Zac's fun, flirty and very smart-ass attitude. He slowly draws Dani out of her cocoon and brings to life the woman she hides from the rest of the world.

I especially loved that Dani is such a strong woman, facing the crowd and media after a scandal surely can never be easy however, the author lets Dani take it in stride, and as reader I was truly very proud of this woman.

The backdrop setting and dialogue was full of life and excitement! I could hear the crown cheering for their team, smell the sweat of the players as they played their hearts out and felt the emotions of Dani and Zac as they each try to come to terms with their lives and their actions.

The book also offered up some very fascinating secondary characters that I truly hope the author will give their own stories to!

This was a sensual and sweet romantic read and I highly recommend it to all lovers of sport romances!

"Healing each other play by play"

I was taken completely by surprise by this one.  Medical romances certainly come in all shapes and sizes - there was no tension in the operating theatre or controversy in the clinic - this was what could be called a romance set in the world of sport - a romance between a team doctor and a physiotherapist.  How very refreshing.  Romance beside the rugby pitch, no less.

Daniella Danatello was formerly a wild child - a rich man's daughter who once partied hard and in her immaturity, made a public spectacle of herself.  Dr. Zachary had a dark past - something he's not too willing to share, but suffice to say, he doesn't do the relationship thing.  Two lost souls who find themselves working together.  Drawn together by attraction.  But as the physiotherapist for the rugby team owned by her father, Dani doesn't want to court controversy by dating her father's employee.  See, they're off to a great start already.

But as the Auckland Jets shape up for their big tournament challenge, tensions run high and the unlikely pair find themselves thrown together in various emotional situations.  Love grows, but do they have what it takes to make it as a couple?

Dani was an attractive heroine, someone who had made mistakes and was genuine about getting her respect back.  She shone out as the star among three drop dead glamorous sisters.

Zac came on way too strong with Dani when he first invited her out, hoping for a short, sweet fling.  He seemed to think that sex was on  the menu for dinner and I was pleased when Dani disabused him of the notion.  The crossfire between the two characters was entertaining and engaged my interest to the very end.  All in all, another winner from Louisa George.

THE LAST DOCTOR SHE SHOULD EVER DATE by author Louisa George is a Mills & Boon Medical and Harlequin Medical release for April 2013.

Daniella Danatello, after being a disappointment to her Dad, wanted to prove herself to him. She took the job of a physiotherapist for his rugby team. But the team doctor, Zac Price turns out to be a major distraction!

Would Dani be able to earn the respect she craves? And would Zac come through for her?

THE LAST DOCTOR SHE SHOULD EVER DATE is a refreshing, captivating and breathtaking medical romance. The premise is exciting—I love rugby, living in rugby mad country where live comes to a standstill during rugby season— and the story keeps you involved from the first page. The relationship dynamics of the muscled rugby team members and the team physiotherapist, Dani and her dad and with the team doctor is well depicted. As Louisa George’s storytelling unfolds, it comes to life and by the end we are left with plenty of surprises.

Highly recommended and well worth reading!

I thoroughly enjoyed and absolutely loved the delicious story of The Last Dr She Should Ever Date. It was so much fun to read, it was beautifully refreshing and I was completely captivated by the characters.

We meet Dani Danatello, shamed daughter of Davide Danatello who owns the Auckland Jets. The NZ paparazzi relentlessly pursue Dani because of her past public indiscretions which she's trying to put behind her. Trying to shrug off the public's perception of her as well as gain the acceptance she craves from her father she accepts the position as team physiotherapist which throws her into immediate sphere of the new team doctor, Dr Zachary Price.

Dani and Zach dance the game of professionalism all the while trying to fight their inner desires. Management imposed a no-sex-till-after-the-tournament rule and we all know rules are meant to be broken... do they or don't they? Or can rules and barriers be technically not broken? Hmmmnnn...

The backdrop of the story focuses the Auckland Jets Rugby team preparing and participating in the most important tournament of the season. Don't worry if you're not a sports lover, in my opinion it enhances the story and offers a unique look into what may happen behind the scenes of a professional Rugby Tournament. It also throws Dani into a male dominated world where she's pretty much the only female on the payroll and the challenges that brings her.

This Medical Romance is an absolute delight! I smiled a lot while reading it. It was unique and refreshing and characters were A+. I couldn't help but love Dani's character and her growth as a person. I cheered for her to have her happy ever after. As a New Zealander (the country where Rugby is a religion) I also found myself revisiting my memories of the fun when our country hosted the 2009 Rugby World Cup (which we won by the way ;P)

Highly recommended for every Medical Romance fan and for anyone just wants to smile while reading a Romance.

And the story is intensely emotional as well as very sensual. Highly entertaining and well worth reading!

In the War Hero's Locked Away Heart I came face to face with something I see and work with everyday. A hero comes home and has to readjust to everyday life,and also learn how to be close to people again.

Because I see and deal with this type of situations each and everyday I know how very hard it can be for the hero' s returning. Louisa George has done a brilliant job of incorporating the distress and turbulent emotion that goes along with trying to gain control over ones life while being haunted by a "pass life".

The author depicted a perfect setting,and her characters we both unique in their own. The author created a beautiful story of love being able to conquer it all.

She packed so much emotion and intrigue into her scenes that I could almost feel every single tormenting memory that Adam experienced.

And as mentioned with personal experience about situations such as this I can with all honestly say the author did her research and conveyed vital information that gave the book that very personal felling.  Louisa you have definitely melted my heart as reader.

Well done Louisa,keep them coming !

Set in a beautiful Bay that could easily have been any beach I grew up next to and continue to live within walking distance, this story was already a winner in my eyes. I thoroughly enjoyed the NZ quips, I guessed the pub crawl with a giggle and couldn't wait to turn the page to see if I was right and sadly the motorbike crash scene is something that happens too frequently out on our beautiful coastal roads thru to the War Memorial that most small towns have.

This is the second action packed medical I have read in a week and I must say I'm fast becoming a fan! Adam is a ex war hero who has become a paramedic and Skye (beautiful name) is a nurse. Both parties have past issues to deal with to reach their happy ever after and with the clock ticking because Skye is about to leave town for her OE sets the scene for a fresh, action packed, romantic tale which had me continuously flicking the pages to find out what happens.

A no strings affair ensues and the time comes to go... Skye goes... what happens next I'll leave for you to discover... 

I will especially be looking out for more of Louisa's books :)

This story is a captivating blend of drama, passion, emotional tension and romance.

Dr. Mim McCarthy (Mim!  Don't you just love that name?)  literally ran away from her fiance several years before, as she wanted to be free to pursue her dreams.  Those dreams included leaving a positive memorial (in the shape of her clinic) to her late mother in her native community of Atanga Bay, as well as  having a family. Dr. Conner Wiseman had somehow failed to connect with  Mim's passion for rural, family and community medicine.  However, As Conner is sent to assess Mim's clinic for financial aid, the two are thrown together by circumstance.   Getting hands on experience of the type of situations Mim deals with when a local gas explosion occurs puts Conner in the way of understanding where Mim was coming from all those years ago.

Both Mim and Conner are wounded by their pasts - Mim's mother was a drug addict and Conner's father was cool and distant.  His youth was also marred by guilt at being unable, despite being a medical student, to save his younger sister from an early death.  As Mim and Conner reconnect, their attraction flares anew, this time on a much sounder basis.  However, an unexpected development seems set to send Conner running in the opposite direction, away from Mim.  Can the healing power of love rescue this relationship?

Mim comes across as a wonderfully out of the box character, someone you'd love to have as a friend.  This is quite a serious story, yet it is full of good humour and laughs too.  There is a particularly funny scenario where Mim was wonderfully impressed at Conner's ability to get the men in the community together for a men's health clinic - and was brought back to earth when she realizes that he used the lure of free pints in the pub to attract them.

This is a touching story, emotional and yet sometimes hilarious.  I enjoyed every page and couldn't wait to see how this very special couple would resolve their dilemma.  Highly recommended.
