Taming Hollywood's Ultimate Playboy by Amalie Berlin (Hollywood Hills Clinic #7)

Taming Hollywood's Ultimate Playboy by Amalie Berlin

I am loving this series and this one is a beauty how do you tame one of Hollywood's top stars especially since you have known him forever and there is a secret that is very embarrassing to say the least between you but when Liam Carter needs help with a badly sprained ankle he also needs the help of his best friend's sister Grace Watson who is a physical therapist at The Hollywood Hills Clinic. Get ready for a fabulous rocky road to the ultimate HEA.

Grace works hard at her job in the clinic that has some of the top Hollywood actors as patients and the last time she saw Liam Carter was a long time ago and in a very embarrassing situation a lot has happened to Grace since then but she has never forgotten Liam and now here he is needing help that will put them together closely for a few days will this open up her feelings that she has kept under control for so long how is the strong Grace going to cope?

Liam Carter has worked hard to get to where he is today after the life he had growing up it has left him a little scared and so sure he is not the picket fence kind of guy no marriage or relationships for Liam hard work and fun. But when he meets up with Grace again the feelings and emotions he thought buried have come to the surface she pulled at his heart years ago and it seems she still can with her caring and kind ways can she get him to see the truth?

I highly recommend this one it is sensual moving and was a joy to read it had me turning the pages and smiling as the banter between them is so good they have a lot to open up about including that trench coat I won't say anymore other than to say this is a must read.

An awesome addition to a fantastic series. Fast paced, humorous and and a thoroughly enjoyable read which is hard to put down.

Liam needs to attend an important premier but doesn't want the world to know he's injured and can't walk properly. His next project, a life changing, career changing project, depends on it. Enlisting the help of his friend James's clinic, he's put into the hands of the best physio there is, Grace. Unfortunately Grace and Liam go way back and this meeting is awkward times a million.

I loved the fast paced story, the glitzy glamour of the premier, mixed with the behind the scenes look of what probably does happen with celebrities while they're getting ready for their interviews. I loved Grace's no nonsense approach when it came to her job and I loved the back stories and how the characters developed. I also liked that Grace wasn't the Grace that Liam remembers and how he handles her scars and dashed dreams.

In my opinion Amalie Berlin writes with a freshness that's thoroughly enjoyable to read and I throughly recommend this story to anyone who hasn't read medicals before, anyone who's following this series and anyone who's not read Amalie before (and especially if you have).

This story was the sunshine of my day!

"Taming Hollywood's Ultimate Playboy (Mills & Boon Medical)" by Amelie Berlin is part of the series 'The Hollywood Hills Clinic' and can be read as part of the series, since you will meet up with characters from the other books, or as a read alone. In the story we have Grace Watson and Liam Carter. Grace is a physical therapist who works at the clinic, and Liam is an actor who hurt himself when he was running. They come together recently, but also share a past. Liam and Grace knew each other growing up. Her brother and Liam are really close friends, and Grace tried to seduce Liam one night (long before this current connection) of which he rebuffed her seduction. There is quite a bit to this story. We learn about both of their pasts, and see what brings them together. I love this series and their story.

The Hollywood Hills Clinic series is a very well written selection of Medical Romance.
Amalie Berlin caught the real sides of these characters in the book. Grace Watson and Liam Carter have not seen each other in a long time. Liam was Grace’s brothers best friend and Grace had a total crush on him! Last time Grace was wearing a trench coat and lingerie. Liam rejected her then and now they will find out they have to work together to achieve what needs to be done.
Now Grace is a top physical therapist and Liam is a Hollywood hottest property and she needs to get him literally back on his feet.
Grace had tempted him years ago and now tempts him even more. Liam is so sure he does not want the typical marriage with the picket fence or such but when he meets back up with Grace those hidden emotions come bubbling up to the top.
Liam has a big premier coming up and must be on his feet so he does not look like an injured and he has to listen to Grace and follow all her instructions.
You can read one or all of the Hollywood Hills Clinic series and you will enjoy.

They were friends by proxy because Liam Carter was Grace Watson's brother's best friend.

Who does not have a crush on their older brother's hottie of a friend? ;)

She had tried once in the past to be with him but he put forth his honourabe intentions forth and refused. Years later, they are brought together because she is physical therapist and he needs therapy.

A fun to read story where these two people, full of life, try to make sense of what their emotions are and what should they do with them.

Enjoyed the story line so much, I had to finish it one go.

A fun friends-to-lovers story!

When Hollywood heartthrob, Liam Carter injures himself right before a big premier, he can only think of one person that can help him be well enough to make his rounds.

As a top physical therapist at The Hollywood Hills Clinic, Grace Watson doesn't have much of a choice when her boss asks her to be at Liam's beck and call for his premier. She would rather not see him again considering the last time they were in the same room together, she threw herself at him and he rejected her! Will a second chance at getting to be around each other again after all these years change the way either of then feels?

Review by Dottie - 5 Stars

Part of the Hollywood Hills clinic series but can be read alone. You will see past characters but that will not deter you from this stand alone book. Liam Carter gets ready for his big premier and as luck would have it injures himself. He needs the help of a physical therapist to get him back to his sport. Grace Watson is the best physical therapist but the last person she wants to help is Liam. They have a past and one that still has the ability to keep her as distant from him as possible. The last time they were together she threw herself at him and he totally rejected her. Now its her turn to reject helping him but her boss has other ideas, so she must see him again. A lovely second chance romance that leaves you with a smile.

Falling for Her Reluctant Sheikh by Amalie Berlin

Review by TashNz
Wow!
If you’ve ever wondered what a hot and amazing Sheikh would be like portrayed as a Dr, don’t even think of not reading Falling for Her Reluctant Sheikh.  Not only is Sheikh Khalil a Dr but he’s also the reigning regent in the country Adalyn’s brother has sent her to.  Khalil’s nightmares are causing insomnia and Dr Adalyn Quinn, sleep therapist, reluctantly flies to Khalil at her brothers insistence, despite her crippling fear of flying.  The last thing Khalil wants is for Adalyn to discover his secret but Adalyn is damned if she’s going to let Khalil disappear on her when she’s flown half way around the world to monitor him.  It’s out in the desert chemistry warms the chilly night air and Adalyn and Khalil realize they both have demons to address.
A fantastic medical story which included moments of brilliance such as Adalyn’s laser light lighting up veins.  An absolutely solid read which was also full of subtle humor and conversational humor which made me smile and giggle.  I don’t  know what I adored most, Khalil, the medical scenes, the humor, the descriptive writing, the backstories or Adalyn’s brother!  (Please tell me there’s a story there).
I loved feisty rock throwing Adalyn.  What a fab character, full of spunk and humour.  Khalil (or Zain-not-Khalil) made for a brilliant everything!  He’s held down by his dreams and yet such a solid character, I loved his secret job and I adored his approach to everything.  I couldn’t put this story down because I was absolutely drawn in by the author’s incredible ability to weave a tale that held my complete attention.
Amalie, I got four quarters of pleasuretainment – your “research” was very much well worth the effort .
A freakin brilliant story x

FALLING FOR THE RELUCTANT SHEIKH by author Amalie Berlin blew my mind away!

Khalil has his dark demons to face. As the reigning prince, his duties overshadow everything else. However, even this prince has made terrible, life changing decisions. Suffering from insomnia due to nightmares of failing to save his brother, Khalil knows he needs help and soon. And the only person who can save him from the beasts roaming in the dark recesses of his soul is sleep therapist Dr. Adalyn Quinn.

Adalyn travels across the world to treat her client, Prince Khalil, on her brother's persistent urgings even though she gets the jitterbugs when flying in aircrafts. As her job at hand takes precedence, she however cannot fight the attraction towards her patient who is everything a woman can desire in a man. Khalil may have his demons but she has hers too.

Then the sparks catch fire…

As the scorching desert sun sets, a different kind of heat takes over, engulfing Khalil and Adalyn in its flames. The only thing left is for them to tackle their problems together!

Overall, I think this is a brilliant medical romance. It has the touch of extravagance and high society class to its storyline and I personally feel the author executed her writing with perfection. The dialogue is full of zest. The characters are well-developed and likable. The plot is intricately woven with high strung emotions and twists and turns due to thoroughly researched plot points. This story is definitely worth re-reading and fans are in for one heck of a medical treat!

I really enjoyed this story it has a bit of everything in it that any romance reader will love you will smile at their banter you will shed a few tears but you will be cheering them on.

Dr Adalyn Quinn has been through a lot in her life orphaned young and left with such a fear of travel in any type of vehicle her brother Jamison who is a Doctor also does not understand this. Adalyn specializes in sleep problems and lives in New Orleans and when her brothers best friend needs help he talks Adalyn into travelling across the world to The Kingdom of Merirach to treat Prince Khalil who is a Doctor also.

Khalil has enjoyed his life being a Doctor until there is there was a war the changed his life forever he is now ruling the Kingdom but it has also left him with problems and it was starting to tell on him so when Adalyn comes to help his life changes again for the better.

I did love this story the setting the problems that both Adalyn and Khalil had that they worked together to conquer the sensual romance that was so good the for the innocent Adalyn and who doesn't love a Sheikh. This is a story that I highly recommend it really is a great story.

New York City Docs is a series about four flatmates and friends sharing an apartment trying to be the best they can be at the prestigious West Manhattan Saints Hospital.  Surgeon, Rivals... Lovers is Kimberlyn's story.

An incredibly descriptive beginning leads the way to an edge of your seat emergency on the side of the road.  Kimberlyn whispers the steps through so she can do her job to the best of her ability and not be distracted with memories of her own past trauma.  Sprinting to the scene and assisting is Enzo, aka, Dr Chisel Jaw.  They work tirelessly on the scene and it's soon revealed both parties are surgical rivals... about to start battling it out in the residency program both vying for the same fellowship.
Surgeon, Rivals... Lovers is a fast paced and full of action story where I was so on the edge of my seat with everything going on.  Not just the story fits the fast paced category but the hustle of the hospital, the drive of the Drs desperately trying to climb the ladder, battling out every surgery and anything that may impress their superior.  Spending so much time together, even though they're rivals, Kimberlyn and Enzo can't fight their attraction to each other and this just adds to the chaos around them.
Fabulous medical romance.  I'm taking deep breaths, much like the ones you take after sprinting because that's how wrapped up I became in the story.  Sad to reach the last page.
An awesome addition to the 4 book series.

Dr Kinberlyn and Dr Lorenzo (Enzo) are both after the fellowship in Trauma surgery offered by Dr Ootaka.

Enzo had been the top contender till Kimberlyn showed up. Probably even after that as in his own words he does not consider her to be competition or a threat to him getting the fellowship.

They call a truce and stop being rude and mean to each other but it does not stop there. They meet, they talk and feelings develop. They develop to a point till the time they both start hoping the other gets the fellowship or a miracle happens and they both get chosen.

Not giving away the climax in here, but one thing I must mention is that emotional scars do way more harm than any physical scar can to the psyche of a person.

Within minutes Dr. Enzo Della Torro was there to help her. She was in competition with Enzo for the same trauma surgery position at the hospital. Dr. Davis knew exactly how to take care of the accident victim and road with the ambulance to the hospital. Dr, Takeo Ootaka was the Dr. that took care of Mr. Elliot when the ambulance got him to the hospital and Dr. Ootaka asked Dr. Davis to help in OR.

There was the competition between Kimberlyn and Enzo and sparks were flying also between them. He was intrigued with Kimberlyn’s scars and realized that her scar on her chest meant serious surgery.

Breaking Her No-Dating Rule (Mills & Boon Medical) (New Year’s Resolutions! - Book 2)

Reviewed by Desere

Massage therapist Ellory Star needs a fresh start, and to make it happen she brings into play her New Year resolution, there will be no dating, until she's ready. But then again she did not count on getting snowed in with the super delicious ER Dr Anson Graves.

It's not long before Ellory must face the music and the fact that charming Anson might just be the one man she needs to break her no-dating rule for. New Year resolutions are meant to be broken, right ?

This author always writes stories that are somehow just as upbeat and fun to read as they are emotionally heartbreaking, I realize that does not sound like the best of combinations because when most readers sit down to read, they either want to cry their eyes out with joy or sorrow( yep those readers that crave heartache do exist) , or laugh their heads off. This author combines both and believe you me it. totally. works, each and every time!

When I read this author's debut not so long ago I was amazed by her creativity and the way she manages to take something totally wacky and turn it into something so beautiful there is simply no way you can forget it afterwards. This time she has done it again, and I could not have been more delighted to again step back into her mind and learn all there was to learn about Ellory and Anson.

Both characters were written with intensity and flair, the kind that pops from the pages and in some instances makes you do a double take. I loved Ellory's no dating resolution rule, it was something that happens every day in the lives of woman but something that most of us does not stop to think about, or  just what the outcome will be if it had to be us.

The author did an amazing job at putting me front and center for all the various emotions and questions running through the characters minds , and at one point I could so self involved in the character of Ellory it completely threw be for a loop when I realized suddenly sat up and realized I had been living the characters life so intensely I had forgotten about the world around me, just proved how brilliant this author is!

I am taking away a message of just when we think it's time to back away from love , it;s in fact the time to start looking around because love is waiting around the corner. It might not happen the way you imagined it, but if you blink it will be gone quicker than the strike of midnight.

I recommend this read for any and all romance readers. Intense, passionate, compelling and one heck of a ride!

Return of Dr. Irresistible

Amalie Berlin is back!! And this time she takes us behind the scenes of the circus. Yes you read it right I said circus. Now this might seem a little weird because as we all know she writes medical romances and the circus doesn't quite seem to fit.

But I can with all honestly tell you, she totally made it work! We have Jolie Bohannon who loves the world of traveling, the circus and is also the girl that Dr Yummier than chocolate Reece Keightly abandoned many years ago.

So naturally when she sees him again she has mixed emotions. Anger, rage, happiness, delight you name it all those girly emotions men point out to us all the time is a waste of time. Reece experiences a similar topsy turvy set of feelings but as all men are he prefers to not think about how off balance it makes him feel.

With Jolie pretty much still hating the man and him pretty much wanting to avoid her the atmosphere is a very dull one, that is until one hot passionate, scorching tryst set's a show into motion like no other you've ever seen.  If only Jolie can learn to trust him again, and if only Reece would stop protecting her, stop controlling life and start listening for once!

Wow what a read! It was full of stunning colorful characters that had me laughing, wishing I was part of their remarkable magic set up in the world of the circus and shedding tears for the pain they go through.

The character of Reece was a very likable one but only here and there, as he varies between being a nice guy and this tyrant type whom I wanted to give a good couple of whacks over the head ever now and then, and at one stage I even wished I could hang him from the top of a circus tent and teach him a lesson in being nice! But as we all know there is a always a reason behind everyone's actions and his first surprised me a little and then completely intrigued me. Through this character the author showed that not everything in life is meant to be controlled, there are somethings that we just need to learn to accept and just go with the flow every now and then, no one likes a control freak even if he's downright sexiness overload!

The character of Jolie was all kinds of awesome fun and crazy!  I adored this woman to bits! Fun, funky, fresh and totally outrageous enough to make even the most serious of the serious out there laugh their heads off in under a minute of being in her presence. I felt sad that she could not easily trust Reece again, but I could also understand the difficulty that lies within the task. Once someone has broken your trust it's just never easy to say "Okay what the heck I trust you again." There is always the risk that the person will simply just break your trust again and who needs a heartache all over again? Any woman will tell you that they most certainly don't need it one bit. The author ever so slowly let Jolie 's inner believe that there is good in everyone shine through and showed her as I think we are all meant to be, when someone breaks our trust it is best to not immediately trust them again, be cautions but also remember that everyone has the right to a second chance. Everyone is worth your time, in the end if they betray you again then at least you will have the knowledge that you gave then that second chance leap and did your part as a good person.

I am taking away a message of the past will always influence our future decisions. But when we allow it to overshadow rational thinking and our human nature instinct it's time to let the past go , life is trying to tell you that you've held on to it too long.

I highly recommend this read for all fans of the special medical romance books with lots of drama and heartfelt emotion. Amalie Berlin has proven she's one of the best medical authors of today and her stories will forever have a place on my reading shelf !

Forgiveness is an easy word to say, or even to ask for but when you are the one needing to forgive, it can be the hardest play of life ever performed when trying to find the point where you can look past the part that caused the mess in the first place and simply forgive.

Then there is also the part where you can easily forgive but never forget, the two go hand in hand and in the new read from Amalie Berlin she takes two characters and through each one shows just how far some will go to seek forgiveness and just how badly betrayal can affect your life.

The read tells of Preston and how he now finds himself working with Dasha, the woman he once loved with all his heart, until she handcuffed him to a bedpost and stole his fellowship. However hard it may be he knows he needs to try to make it work, the other option is just too dire to even think of.

Whilst aiming to be on his best behaviour and not get into any old memories arguments with Dasha he starts to see a different woman from the one he once loved. And he starts to wonder who she really is and what is she hiding from. All these questions go flying out the window the second Dasha asks for his forgiveness, now there is something he simply can't do. Wonder about her, definitely, have passionate strip her naked daydreams about her, hell yes, but forgive her NO WAY, not when he has his own set of demons to fight!

The character of Preston was such an arrogant bastard and drove me insane, but in a good way. One minute he is the type of hero you want to grab and choke the life out of, the next he does or says something so sweet you just want to gobble up the deliciousness that is Preston Monroe! I really liked this touch from the author as in my opinion she showed just how haywire our emotions can become when we are facing our own fears, it's a roller -coaster of up's and down's and only if we stop and take the time to find out the why's will we be able to understand why the person is one minute lashing out and the next trying to be sincere.

The character of Dasha was very well written, through this character the author showed just how badly our past decisions can affect our future. We might think we are doing the right thing or even following our dreams but when we have to wrong someone in the process to achieve your goal, it's simply setting yourself up for years of agony. The regret will never leave your mind no matter how much you try to hide from it, in the darkness it will always find you.

The author weaved a stunning story of forgiveness and betrayal, letting go of the past and grabbing hold of the future. I'm taking away a strong and powerful message, don't go through life with your eyes closed you might miss out on the most beautiful journey ever created.

I can't wait to see what this author brings us next, her books are simply magical and filled with so much true and genuine honestly it totally blows me away every time!

A passionate, emotional and heart-wrenchingly beautiful read!

Uncovering Her Secrets by Amalie Berlin is a March 2014 Harlequin Medical release.

If you think a great medical romance is one that has action, drama, love and romance between the staff and characters you're drawn to... then you'll think Amalie Berlin's Uncovering Her Secrets is a fan-tas-tic medical romance!

Dr Dasha Hardin (interesting name, i'd love to know its origin) attempts to atone for her past mistakes with Dr Preston Monroe by having a lot to do with arranging for him to work at her hospital.  Dasha and Preston meet up on Page One and sparks start flying... hostile sparks that is!  Dasha has done something pretty unforgivable in Preston's past and he's not pleased to see her at all.  But the probationary period is worth sticking in there to Preston and he jumps right in.  Both being incredible surgeons they cant avoid each other, especially with Dasha being the temporary head of surgery.

Dasha and Preston are great characters, they both have things to hide, it's difficult to say who has the biggest secret.  Dasha tries her best to atone for the past and Preston does his best to run from her, to block her and to ignore her but as all good stories go, they soon need each other in more ways than one.

I thought the author wrote a solid story.  It has fantastic medical emergency scenes, heart wrenching moments, funny moments with plenty of depth to become lost in as well as .  Dasha and Preston warily circle each other and when "the" moment finally arrives where they both let go, I particularly loved the part where Preston is telling himself "This doesn't mean a thing" and I laughed when Preston kept hanging up on Dasha but "new improved Dasha" rings straight back saying "We got cut off".  Great comeback!

I'd highly recommend this story to any medical romance fans and anyone who wants a solid story filling the pages, not just sex.

An excellent romantic story with well developed characters woven with a brilliantly delivered plot. Using the medical field as the background gave the story added depth and dimension. I was very intrigued by the affect patients' medical problem had on the personal lives of all the physicians and medical staff. Love, betrayal, trust issues, and life decisions were wound throughout the story. From the first pages until the last, I found myself enthralled by the action of the story. Well done.

I would recommend to all romance readers. I was given a signed copy by the author for an honest review.

Craving Her Rough Diamond Doc by Amalie Berlin

Craving Her Rough Diamond Doc

Running from your past is something we all do, either by avoiding the subject or taking off when ever the past comes knocking. It is of course never the answer, facing it head on and dealing with it is the only way to truly get rid of it, this takes courage, strength and determination many of us do not have.

But what if you come face to face with a person that sees beyond the image of free spirit and picks up that you are indeed running. Would you stick around and try to brush off their attempts to get to know the real you and help you face your past, or would you simply use sex as a means to draw their attention away from getting the low down on what happened and then move on?

In the debut read from new Mills and Boon Medical author Amalie Berlin this is the situation Imogen faces, she has been running from her past all her life, she keeps moving in order to remind her to never look back and never ever get attached, when attachment forms it gets messy, complicated and in her experience it is sure to end with heartache.

The only friend she has ever really been attached to is Amanda, and when Amanda needs help Imogen is ready, willing and more than able to assist. Only the person that requires the assistance is no other than together-we-can-move-mountains-in and out of bed-Wyatt, and he does not want her help as in ever!

But with her go getting attitude she pushes and persuades him into letting her stay and be his temporary nurse until Amanda can make her comeback, but soon it is a decision she regrets, for Wyatt wants into her past, her soul and her body, not long term so should be perfect right? That is until her free spirited self takes a tumble down the mountain and love rears it's head and it is time to face her past, but getting the man to come around to the same conclusion proves harder than logging timber down a mountain top.

The characters or Imogen and Wyatt were both so realistically written by the author that they truly felt to me as reader like real life popping out from the pages! They both played out so many emotions that there was never a dull moment in the read. I am talking passion, heartache, sadness, happiness, funny humour, drama, sweet, sensual and oh so sexy, the read had it all.

Imogen's feisty always pushing to get what she wants attitude was terrific, but at the same time as reader I was absolutely entranced that she pushes to get what she wants but does not use that same push to face her past, the contradiction was extremely fascinating and very entertaining, brilliantly done Amalie!

Wyatt's many masks relating back to his past made him one of those hero's you want to grab hold of and dig till you learn why he is so tied up in knots but at the same time you are thinking that if you know you might not like it very much.

The dialogue was extremely emotional, it had me in tears, laughing out load and gasping for air! I loved how the author lets both main characters have a past that is secret and not really spoken of, but more importantly she does not fully hide both their secrets right throughout the read, she rather let me as reader be able to figure out the one's secret but keeps the other one's till almost the very end. It kept me on the edge, wanting to know the why, how and where.

The backdrop settings of small towns with funny and ridiculous names gave the read that homey kind of feeling, that let me as reader know that when help is needed no matter the distance or the situation these characters from all over would pull together.

The secondary character of Amanda was written in such a manner by the author that you know there is a story and a it is guaranteed to be a good one, and am hoping the author brings us her story and soon!

I am taking away a message of past and future can seem blurred when you bring the two together and the line between learning to trust and to rather walk away becomes a beacon in the dark that will either motivate you to get up and fight or let you fall into a hole there simply is no getting out of.

I highly recommend this read for any and all lovers of romance, even if you prefer the non medical related reads from Mills and Boon and no messy blood here and illness there, this read will grip you every step of the way.

A true emotional roller-coaster read that not only delivers a powerful message but a story of love found in the most unexpected places with the most unexpected type of person. I was carried away to a world of romance and emotion so strong it left me craving my very own mountain doc!

A sexy, sensual, romantic, heart-warming and pure emotional romantic bliss filled read.

I very much look forward to this author's next read and being transported to a world of pure romance brilliance!

Craving Her Rough Diamond Doc

This debut novel had it all for me. I have to say I really enjoyed it. I know for this reader I always feel that little bit of apprehension when I read an unknown author. But Amalie Berlin came through with a wonderful novel.

Set in the mountains of Appalachia. The story is one of Dr. Wyatt Beauchamp who drives a bus around to the surrounding and isolated areas providing medical treatment for those that not only can’t afford it, but have no way of getting to the medical help. He is the strong and silent type and one sexy doctor.

Imogen Donally, has arrived at sexy as sin Doctor Wyatt’s Beauchamp’s property. Now she is hoping to be able to stay focused on the job at hand for the next 6 months and not lose her heart to the doctor. But first she is going to have to convince him that she is just what he needs to help him while her best friend Amanda is on maternity leave. After agreeing to a trail period they are off. And soon “e mma –Jean” “Emma –gee” is winning over the people.

This debut novel had it all for me. You will find laughter and tears. Along with some unique ways to treat patients. Toss in some steamy passion. Add a rescue that had me holding my breath. Throw in some secrets to be revealed. What more could a reader want?
I also loved how a little bit of Amanda’s story was woven in, just enough maybe to hint of a story down the road. Maybe learning who the baby’s father is.

Favorite line:

“I learned that if you want something and you’re told no, you should do other stuff that they don’t want you to do. Worse stuff. Until they reconsider your first, sensible request. Or you should just keep asking until they give up from exhaustion.”

There is a saying that you can run from your problems as fast as you can, but when you stop, they will still be with you. Your locales may change, but the problems and memories cannot be left behind. Such was the case with Imogen and Wyatt. Different reasons for running and different reasons for stopping only showed them one thing; their woes must be resolved to set them free.

Stubborn, sassy, and unconventional, Imogen Donally didn't do forever, temporary was the name of the game: jobs, friends, sexual liaisons. Amanda, her only long term best friend, was the only exception and she needed her for six months. Promising two or three months longer than she usually stayed in any one place, she had bit the bullet and come to these Appalachian Mountains to help Amanda's boss, also her cousin, with his two person traveling clinic. There was only one drawback. Just how many faces did Mr. Tall, Dark and Sexy have? She had seen grumpy, grouchy, stubborn, serious, thoughtful and helpful, but the one she liked the most was desire. She felt the chemistry and wanted to taste it for herself, but he kept blowing hot and cold. Throughout all the face changes, she had also glimpsed pain and heartbreak. She knew in her heart he needed healing, but could she do it in the short time she had allotted herself?  And a more honest question, did she really want to?

Smart, muscular, and handsome, Wyatt Beauchamp had run away from these mountains twenty years before, trying to escape the memories of pain, suffering, and heartbreak, only returning for his father's funeral. Realizing he missed his mountain and his neighbors, he opted to stay utilizing his skills to open a traveling clinic. Slowly building a practice among the region, only one problem- one big problem- was in his present time frame: his nurse's replacement. His cousin, also his nurse, had recommended her best friend for the job, and she was just unacceptable for so many reasons. As far as he was concerned, the main ones were the mountain folks wouldn't respect her, or identify with her, or open up to her no matter how skilled at her job she was, but the biggest reason, she represented danger to the carefully constructed walls around his heart. She also lit a blazing inferno under his libido, and that was just unprofessional. Was he strong enough to resist the charms of Miss Stubborn, Sassy, and Gorgeous or would she destroy him, then move on?

From the first page to the climatic ending, well developed characters weaved an excellent story of understanding, love and acceptance. An intricate plot smoothly melded the present while slowly revealing their past lives to show why they each had so many issues. I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I laughed, cried, sympathized, and empathized with each character as the story unfolded. A definite page turner.

I would recommend this book to any reader of romance who wants an interesting and exciting love story.
