The author has skillfully captured my attention, she has made me believe in Sam and Bryanna and made me want them to have their happy ever after, which doesn't often happen in Novella's due to the space constraints.
A Seal's Proposal is engaging, straight to the point and thoroughly entertaining. I felt Bryanna's love and yearning to live happily every after with Sam and I could understand Sam's tug of heart over the right thing to do for everyone and himself. When i was interrupted during the day this story was on my mind, I was continuously wondering what was Sam going to do! The writing is refreshing and stirs up emotions and I thought Bryanna was just awesome, especially the spatula throwing incident.
I enjoyed the side characters, which I've now learnt are part of other stories and above all, I hope some awesome girl comes along and kicks Eli's butt from here to the land of love!
Top read which could be of novel length and be just as enjoyable.

The Seal's Second Chance by Anne Calhoun (Alpha Ops 3)
REVIEW BY TASHNZ | 5 STARS
Absolutely loved this story about Seal Jamie Hawthorn, kid from the right side of town… home for one thing and one thing only and that’s to win his high school sweetheart for life, pro basket baller Charlie and kid from the wrong side of the tracks.
Titled as a novella, this is probably why it only took me three hours to read on a beautiful Sunday morning but the content had the full amount of a complete story. The characters were very likeable and the story 100% believable and easy to read. Had just the right amount of everything and I’m definitely going back for more from this author.
The writing was clear enough to place me in an all American town, Jaime with a clear purpose and when they finally meet on the outside court there’s been enough build up for the reader to genuinely want these two to play out their game to see who will win or lose in their court side battle. Through the story there is enough drama to leave you wanting more with the side story of Jamie’s policeman brother Ian.
The reason I really loved this book is for the ease of the read, it was so easy to slip into Jamie and Charlie's world. Their background stories had just the right amount of information to build a good picture and the way their game of love played out was entirely plausible and very enjoyable to read. To top it off there was enough interest and mention of secondary characters that I googled them before I finished.
Top read which left me feeling happy, highly recommended, thank you Netgalley!

I love me a good SEAL and by gosh Dane "Viking" Erikson is a mighty fine introduction of what looks to be a most promisingly delightful introduction of Seals into the HOT team!
The last place DEA Agent expects to run into her ex husband is at HOT headquarters, after all Dane is Navy, not Army, but there he is as freakin' gorgeous as she remembers, and while it's been a long four and a half years without him, it's like yesterday when the memories start flooding back. SEAL Dane is just as shocked when his ex wife walks into mission control. He knows the dangerous mission they're about to embark could risk lives and while he tries to hate Ivy on sight, he also tries to kid himself he'd step in front of a bullet for her as he would be for anyone under his command, not because she's someone special.
Racing against the clock Dane, along with the HOT team, Ivy and her DEA partner track down a state of the art submarine originally designed for drug trafficking missing from Columbia; the Ruiz brothers who have a major hand in the drug trafficking that Ivy is hell bent on stopping and a nuclear warhead which can blow the Eastern seaboard to smithereens. While surrounded by danger at every corner, partnered together puts Dane and Ivy in mighty fine close proximity where they cant ignore their past, their feelings or their differences and when one part of the mission means portraying themselves as a happy couple, Dane and Ivy are like the fireworks factory they liken themselves to and things really turn into the 4th of July! I loved the end scene, I could totally imagine it and was left feeling I would absolutely love to be swept off my feet by a man in uniform - preferably a SEAL ;)
Thank you for the ARC received for my honest opinon.

Better as a memory by Marilyn Baxter

Once upon a time life could not have been more perfect for Victoria. She had a gorgeous boyfriend that happened to also be amazing in bed. They were in love and talking about a future together. Then she gets a Dear Tori email from him and he's gone from her life.
But that was a long time ago and now she's a successful business owner, well more or less, she needs the exclusive Max Brown contract to get back on her feet.
But she also knows that she's either going to lose her cool and kill the man on the spot for walking away from her all those years ago or grab him and kiss him senseless because she pretty much never could resist him.
Channeling every inch of control possible she takes on their first meeting with as much dignity and balance as she can muster, only to be knocked for a six when Max wants to strip her naked and remind her why they were so good together. Does she have the strength to resit Mr Baby Blues or will she once again crumble?
This was a really nice short and sweet read about second chances. I liked how the author only slightly dipped into the past of both characters instead of coming right out and spilling it all at once, it happens so many times in short reads and it's then and there that the past-mystery element is totally killed off and the books pretty much lose the intrigue, so nicely done Marilyn!
The characters were well written and the story line very enjoyable. Max yes was a real jerk for walking away from Victoria and as much as I wanted to be on her side I started leaning more towards Max's line of thinking as the read took shape. Through this character the author showed how our "only created in our minds" demons can send us on paths we think we should be taking and leave behind a bigger mess than what we thought it was in the first place.
I very much enjoyed the character of Victoria , feisty one minute and very lost and confused the next, pretty much just the way we woman are! Through the character of Victoria the author reminded me of a saying I have heard from my mother many, many times before. You might think you're not strong enough to handle what life throws your way, but you are, you just need to find your inner strength and push forward, in the end it will all be worth it.
I highly recommend this read for all readers that love a sweet, hot and sexy little second chances read.

" Falling in love on memory lane"
The Gift by Sandra Marton
A romance novella by
Sandra Marton, set in the Wilde world – that world inhabited by the Wilde’s,
the formidable ranch family of Texas, scion of a general of the US Army. This is a bit of alright – you get the jet
set background, the alpha male and the stars, the violins, the works. Like all Sandra Marton’s work, it goes a
little deeper than the fantasy romance type read. It touches on the world of high-powered,
arranged marriages, where emotions take a back seat and hard bargaining takes
precedent. The plot is classic Lancelot
and Guinevere – Kazimir, a security professional, has, because of his
connections with Sardovia, a Baltic kingdom, been given a special assignment to
deliver – yes, deliver – the future wife of the head of the Sardovian throne
safely to her waiting bridegroom. At
first the young lady gives Kaz heartburn and he’s not at all impressed – until
he comes to realize that the young lady is a mere pawn in a political game with
no say in the (entirely unsuitable) choice of her husband. Kaz’s exasperation gives way to compassion
and then to love. But while he realizes
he can never complete his assignment, to deliver this woman to a life of hell,
he also realizes that as a man of his word, his reputation and professional
credibility will be forever compromised.
So what is it going to be? Will
he choose to follow his heart? Or can he
dare to risk losing his professional credibility?
For admirers of Sandra
Marton’s work, for lovers of romance fiction and for all those who love fairy
tales in a modern setting. An impressive
read.
DOUBLE JEOPARDY by Sundari Venkatraman
Sanya has been the
childhood companion of the handsome twin brothers, Arth and Ansh. Arth was her childhood hero and she nurtured
a dream in her heart that she’d get together with him one day. Ansh, on the other hand, was the bane of her
life, who teased her, taunted her and made her life miserable with his pranks. It’s been a few years, and Sanya has met the
brothers again. Now she’s ready to make
Arth her own. But something strange is
afoot. Ansh is the one now lavishing
attention on the now ravishingly pretty Sanya.
Always hovering about, waiting on her every word. Her beloved Arth, however, doesn’t know she
exists. Apart from the usual
pleasantries, of course.
Sanya doesn’t
understand it at all. What is going
on? Or is anything going on? Anything at all?
A simple and moving
tale of a young woman’s coming of age and stepping into maturity, written by a
sensitive and talented author. The
lesson that sometimes our dreams stand in the way of our true happiness is not
an easy one to learn, but in the hands of a capable author, it can make a story
that’s a joy to read. Just like this

The men of T-FLAC are back and they are sexier, hotter and more awesome than ever!
This time around the author takes us on the journey of to-die-for-sex-on-legs-make-my-knees-go-weak-take-me-now-am yours Grayston!
In the middle of the most important mission of his career he comes face to face with the one and only woman he has ever loved and also left at the altar three years ago.
He immediately goes into high alert, he needs to get her out of harms way along with his idiot brother and not to mention he needs to ensure this mission turns out successful.
For anyone that knows this authors books you will immediately know that for her characters such as Grayston this is all in a days work and no problem at all!
Grayston and Hannah were both phenomenally crafted by the author and I could not stop myself from wanting to jump up and start rooting for them from the first words written.
Hannah is a true kick ass heroine that stands up for herself and others, and takes no prisoners in getting to her goal. Yes, she does bounce out of control every now and then when she sees a dead body by hey us females are allowed our girl-y moments whilst still trying to uphold that fighting spirit!
Grayston did not only completely entrance me from page one ( okay I know the man is hot and therefore guaranteed to entrance any woman) but it was more his inner turmoil that grabbed my attention. I simply had to keep reading to find out what happened to him and the author kept me on the edge of seat with the suspense and when the she popped the cherry it was like an instant explosion of "Now that makes total sense", proving once again this author knows exactly how to get a readers attention and hold it till the very last word is written.
Backdrop settings were vividly described, guns blazing, bombs going boom, fists cracking you name it, it was all there , it was if I was apart of the war zone and madness happening.
The dialogue was classic Cherry Adair, full of wild, crazy, sensual oh so sexy heat and passion, but also with that perfect dose of emotional kicker moments that balanced it all into perfection!
Adair has once again shown why she is able to captivate her audience with an extreme large dose of action, kick ass hero's,strong confident heroines, masses of bad guys, one seriously awesome plot and an adventure you will never forget! A sure shot read that will aim right for every adrenalin screaming bone in your body!
Go forth and read Cherry Adair , I-a-dare you!

Christmas Nights with the Polo Player by

Resisting a bad boy is never easy, there is always something so exhilarating and sinfully sexy about them that yes the only applicable saying would be
" Resistance is futile!"
Unfortunately bad-boys are the kind to see how many hearts they can break and how many velvet robes will part with just the right smile.
In this read from the always very super talented Susan Stephens she brings one seriously delicious bad-boy to life and the woman that brings him to his knees or is that gets him to bring her the Christmas sweets?
The character Lucy falls head over heals for bad-boy Gabe but from the start knows she will live to regret every moment, except the phenomenal sex. Other than that there is no point in the whole affair Gabe will never change and she will never be the one to walk away with everything she wants.
That is until Gabe reveals the true him and her world falls in to perfect alignment with every 'physic' power she has!
I really liked the main characters in this read. Gabe was simply so sinfully sexy, he is one of those hero's that just makes you go "Come sit on my lap and tell me what you want for Christmas"! I truly adored the manner in which the author dug into Gabe's mind, it let me feel completely in touch with his POV, which is something I do not always manage to find a romance read.
Lucy at first felt a little too immature to deal with the sex only relationship, which as I mentioned she thinks this is, but the author very nicely turned her around for me and I very much enjoyed how Lucy blossoms into seeing things from Gabe's POV instead of just her own.
The backdrop settings were really very Christmassy and felt very calm and loving. I loved the dialogue in this read, one minute it was hot and heavy the next sweet and sexy then so emotionally revealing it left me with a glimmer of tears.
I am taking away a message of when making assumptions of others you are bound to find yourself at a loss for words when that person is revealed in whole other light.
I recommend this read for anyone looking for a really great love story with that special touch of Christmas magic.

Time is short in the period leading up to Christmas! I found Christmas Nights With the Polo Player by the awesome Susan Stephens the perfect length novella! I was able to finish it in one lunchtime sitting (well dont tell the boss but maybe a lil... just a lil... extra time was spent at my desk, I couldnt put it down)
The best thing about Novella’s when they are done well is they quickly get to the point, no mucking about and in 10 chapters we got to revisit the delicious Acosta’s, meet Lucy (Holly Acosta’s best friend) who is working for Gabe Ortoya, one of the Acosta’s cousins, and who also happens to be the current captain of the Brazilian polo team.
Gabe also owns the nightclub Holly is working at to supplement her income while making her way thru vet school. Attraction is at an all time high and Gabe isn’t used to the ladies backing away so he pursues Holly when fate (well actually matchmaking Holly) places them both as guests at the Acosta’s Christmas Party.
I love this novella for the chance to revisit the Acosta’s; for the fast paced read which I enjoyably raced thru, for the yummiest characters and because It packs a punch in the emotional stakes. Lucy is cute as a button, feisty as and naturally gorgeous. Gabe is just the yummiest man in Polo world (bar the Acosta’s). He knows what he wants and goes after it with a passion that left me breathless.
Christmas Nights with the Polo Player is ummissable if you've been keeping up with the Acosta’s or if you’re looking for a fantastic Christmas themed love story sure to crank the heat up for those celebrating Christmas in the currently chilly Northern Hemisphere…

In today's world, geeks rule. Well not all geeks, as, let's face it, there are still those absolutely drop-dead-gorgeous-to-go- weak-at-the-knees-for hot hunks. But yes the emergence of the geek has ha made it's mark on the woman of today.
Some simply go after the geek because he has money. However, in the new read from author Mickey J. Corrigan, she tells the story of how a hotter than hot wild-and-crazy bombshell falls for a geek and it has everything to do with the man himself and nothing to do with his money.
Only after six years of bliss she finds her darling geek withdrawing from her, spending less time with her and giving her little to zero attention, so she comes to the conclusion that he must be cheating.
Now she has three options. One, take the geek for all he's worth. Two start a sizzling hot affair with a sexy neighbour or three, get her geek back in her bed! It all comes down to decisions and thankfully she makes the right one and decides to do a little spy work of her own, but in the end she will be the one getting the shock of her life!
The characters of Marcy and Jess were both written well, the author gave me, as a reader, the perfect description of Marcy, I could clearly see her as this wild and sexy woman who loves to get down and dirty, yet has changed her ways for the man she loves. I liked that the author gave her a quirky, crazy side when it comes to her man. It showed that the love of a good man can change even the worst of people.
Jess was of course nothing like the heroes we find in the romance reads of today. He's not rippled with muscles nor does he have the looks that can get any kind of woman to simply fall into bed with him. He's just a plain old hard working computer nerd. Sounds pretty boring, right? Well, to be honest, this character was just exactly that. Boring! But he wa also a little bit mysterious and that gave him that certain little bit of power to draw you in, wanting to know just what he is up to and with who!
The backdrop settings were average, kind of just blending in with the situation the characters find themselves in, and most of the scenes were played out in the couple's home. I'd have liked the author to give a little bit more description as to what exactly the characters are seeing around them. Yes, it's a short read, coming in at only four chapters, but still, a little more attention to detail would have been great.
The dialogue was kept light but with a swear word here and there when the characters get a little stir crazy. I also found myself smiling at the silly lines Marcie throws at Jess every now and then.
The sexual content was not of the high level erotica kind nor of the sugar sweet kind more of a touch and go, making it a bit of a hit and miss in both the sexy and sensual department, as it goes the route of hot and heavy but does not fully make it there , thus not letting me as reader really be able to pick up on the true emotions of the characters, not a major problem but with half the read focusing on why exactly these two got together the full on explosive sex would have let me into their minds just a little touch more.
This is perfect for a quick afternoon read, when your looking for a little something different. A fun and quirky look at a wild and crazy Barbie meeting her own computer geek, with a totally unexpected funny ending!
The author shows definite potential for writing great reads that will make a impact.

He is staying behind closed doors, working late and traveling out of own on weekends. Marcy realizes just how bad things have gotten when she is tempted by a neighbor into having an affair. Not wanting to lose Jess or her marriage, she sets out to get to the bottom of their problems.
Jess Margate really does love his wife, but he doesn't find her intellectually stimulating. So he has found a way to challenge himself. What he doesn't realize is his new passion and obsession is taking a toll on his marriage. We are looking at a true geek here.
The characters were well written. Jess was believable as a geeky nerd, and Marcy came across as neurotic at times, which gets explained near the end of the book. I did have an issue with Marcy's character being paranoid about what Jess is doing, when she needed to question her own actions. But overall nice short story

Geekus Interruptus by Mickey J. Corrigan is a short novella by an able author with an eagle eye for focussing on the details in relationships, romantic/sexual relationships in particular.
This is not the first time I've seen a geek feature as a romantic hero - Libby Mercer and Louise Cusack have both featured computer nerds in their romance novels. But the premise is an interesting area to explore. Marcy, a young woman with a high libido, stopped her sleep around lifestyle to concentrate on domestic bliss with Jess. But all is not well. Jess the man is present, well some of the time, but when he is, his mind is elsewhere. Marcy debates what she should do and decides to go for the jugular and find out exactly what her nerd is up to.
The answer is surprising.
I liked this story. I know Mickey J. Corrigan writes erotica and sure enough, the ration of passion was there. The usual erotica trip, albeit condensed. Certain body parts hardening, others liquifying, the whole arousal trip then hey, it doesn't happen. The big let down. Of course when fulfilment comes, the earth moves (doesn't it always? At least in novels).
A satisfying ending and lessons are learnt all round. If you like short, fun, sexy reads, grab this one.

Heating Up Hawaii by Carmen Falcone
The very name suggests a hot read and that's exactly what this is. The wonderful Carmen Falcone's reunion story of the very grounded Penny and the very enigmatic Luc. Their passionate love affair burnt itself out eight years before, owing to misunderstanding and immaturity. But this time around, they're going to be all mature about this, right? And no one's going to get hurt....not even slightly scorched. And therein lies the problem....
Penny's had a sad childhood. Her parents separated after Penny's mother discovered that her husband and Penny's father had been cheating and not only that, Penny had known about it. Penny's relationship with her mother was damaged and had her grandmother not been around, the child that Penny was would have suffered too much. As it was, Penny still lost her grandmother way too early. Luc had to shoulder the burden of caring for his mother and severely disabled brother way too young after the death of his father - so Luc and Penny's first encounter ended in tears. Not to mention a pregnancy which Luc knew nothing about and which tragically miscarried.
It's almost a decade later. Self-made Luc is now a hotel magnate. Penny's a PR heavyweight, on the brink of opening her own company. She accepts a short term contract from Luc, to launch the Maui Leoni, his Hawaiian acquisition. This job will give Penny prestige, confidence and contacts. All she needs to go it alone in business. And of course, her relationship with Luc will be entirely professional....yeah, right!
Working in close proximity, the pair attempt to, but are unable to hide their strong bond and attraction. It's only a matter of time before their passions ignite and then watch them heat up Hawaii.
As a romance novella, it's quite perfect. Very reminiscent of the Presents/Modern imprint of Harlequin Mills & Boon. The love scenes are scorching, so it might be advisable to wear dark glasses. It mightn't be any harm to keep a cold drink to hand. On second thoughts, make that a cold shower.
Alpha male hero, with some lovable flaws, check. Beautiful heroine who's just the right mixture of vulnerability and woman of substance, check. The passion quotient, check. Exotic location, check. The healing power of love, check.Heck, it comes up to standard on every level and is recommended for readers who like bold, romance fiction.
I've no choice but to give it full marks. Really.

Heating Up Hawaii by Carmen Falcone
Things really do Heat up in Hawaii, when ex lovers reunite. Will they be able to get pass their issues from eight years ago. And what will happen between these two, when secrets are revealed.
Penny Ashbrook dreams of opening her own PR company, she is currently working for Charles Dawn. Having walked away from his son, Darren Dawn the day before they were to be married. While she came close to getting married six months ago. There has really only been one true love for her, and she is about to come face to face with Luc again. She has a number of secrets, that she has been carrying around for years. I felt so bad for Penny's character and the issue she lived thru alone, when she first left Luc.
Eight years ago Luc Leoni was struggling to make a name for himself. Penny might have set him back eight years ago, but now he is a self made billionaire. Half French and half Italian he makes for one smoking hot Hero. When he accidentally overhears Penny's name mentioned he asks to be introduced. One thing he realizes when he comes face to face with her again, is that the attraction is still there for both of them.
The love scenes were really well written. While I found Darren's character believable, I struggled with his fathers story line. Threatening to fire someone who is working to pay you back money, just has a weird vibe to it for me. But overall really good story.

In today"s fast moving world, short fiction provides a satisfying read for people who love to read and at the same time need to get their happy ending in a reasonable length of time. The demise of print publications have left a vacuum for the reader of short fiction - many magazines which formerly published short stories have shelved them in favour of celebrity news and reality type articles. Short ebook reads fill the gap nicely
MEMORIES OF LOVE is an unashamedly sentimental read for the die hard romantic. The orphaned yet fiercely independent heroine Rita is an attractive character. Ivan the hero, a former army man who runs a security company is Rita's boss and he makes a suitably alpha hero. Ivan and Rita fancy each other rotten and it's obvious to all who know them. But he thinks he's too dark and depressing for a girl like Rita and she, being professional to the core, can't think of having an affair with the boss. Sweet yet predictable so far. The secretary in love with her alpha male available boss is certainly the stuff romance novels are made of, but what gives this pair the courage to make the first move and cross the professional divide? Rita's house is burnt down in a fire and then Ivan gets the chance to play Sir Galahad.
I have to say that as a mother, Rita's attempts to play the vamp and seduce the hero filled me with terror. Well, maybe that's just me. But in fairness, it's obvious that Ivan is special to Rita, not just someone she met along the way. Anyway, Ivan, the battle scarred hero, turns out to be quite the gallant behind the rather dark exterior.
So if you love short fiction, comfort reads and unashamedly romantic reads, to pick this one up. It's a great read to get the endorphins flowing.

Telling a good story is one thing almost any author can do,
telling a good story in just seven chapters is something that takes pure talent
and it not always easily done, and most of all it always leaves me with a sense
of deep appreciation for the author that does manage to pull it off.
In the latest read from Jenny Schwartz she has proved she
definitely is not only up to the task but more than able to blow the mind of
her reader in seven chapters or less and leave you breathless, fulfilled and
totally excited beyond believe in suspense of the next to come!
In this read I was introduced to the very sexy former army
hero Ivan. He is boss to our heroine Rita. They are beyond hot for each other
but something called “I can’t take the chance and I am not good enough” stands
in their way of getting into an affair that will surely be the change of a
lifetime.
A neat little twist of events by the author brings Rita
smack bang up close and personal with Ivan and the heat gets turned up by
degrees so hot the pages practically set alight in my hands.
The characters were both well written and each had their own
unique little manners of going from professional to two people out on a mission to find pure sexual release.
The author gave me as reader a tormented hero and a mistress
of the night come pure lady by day coming together in a short powerful,
definitely very memorable read.
A message of what lies beneath needs to be revealed to the right person who will understand no matter what was wonderfully depicted by the author in a definite best seller.
I highly recommend this read for all lovers of short stories that deliver a impact that will stay with you for a lifetime and make you think twice about that one chance you had and never took.

Memories of Love is a captivating and emotive tale which drew me in from the explosive first page.
The opening chapter is a winner. It is action packed while at the same time; short, punchy and to the point. My attention was immediately caught.
Ivan and Rita are thrown together due to unfortunate circumstances but fortunately for them it was just what they both needed.
I could relate to the touch on ANZAC, it was special to me. Coming from NZ, ANZAC Day is really important to us and I could relate to the pre-dawn ceremony. It was done well enough that no matter where in the world you were reading the book from you didn't have to know what ANZAC was but you can pick up that it's important for Rita and Ivan to attend.
Short stories are definitely the answer to the fast paced world we live in today. If you find yourself saying you never have time to read, pick up Jenny Schwartz's Memories of Love, it wont take too much time out of your day and the satisfaction of finishing a story cant be beaten.
